  1. It's ebay, let them be It's one more reason that sterilization of the weak should be implemented. People THAT dumb are a burden on the human race.
  2. It's called a Community. We can discuss like-minded topics with like-minded people. At least when it comes to the general focus of this site. Not to mention it works like a community in the sense that, when one needs help, the others try to help where they can. Live somewhere for 6 months, you might not be inclined to stay, as you aren't too attached. Live somewhere for 6 years, you're far more likely to not want to leave. Even if it starts to get monotonous.
  3. Wait........FTW. Are you telling me the 60GB PS3 DOESN'T come with HDMI cables? A flocking system Sony is pimping for 1080p so heavily, and they aren't supplying HDMI cables with the Premium package? I was under the impression the cables didn't come with the 20GB version, not the 60....... What a rip.
  4. Snickers sucks, Mars better. But even a Mars bar isn't worth the $800 or so extra over the PS3 + game and movie included. Shove your Snickers up your hoop. What's retarded, is it will sell. Why are people paying upwards of THREE F**CKING THOUSAND DOLLARS for a system that costs $600?
  5. Shipping on a chip about the size of my fingernail wouldn't be much, would fit in a little bubble package that could go as regular mail. Thanks anyway.
  6. Bios is corrupted on my 933's motherboard, need the chip reflashed as the boot block isn't functioning as it should to recover the bios. The board is a Gigabyte 6vm7a+ and the chip is a 32 pin DIP. 256kb bios. I'd buy a new one, but at $20-$30 for a replacement chip, when I can replace the motherboard for around the same simply isn't worth it. It's also not worth it for me to replace the motherboard, as this computer isn't a necessity for me. I have 2 others I can move into it's place to take over as my file server if need be. Anyone here have the necessary equipment to reflash this for me if I covered the shipping?
  7. Can't we just forget about the 80s ever happening? At least most of it... I can count the good bands on one hand, and the girly haired guy bands would require a stack of paper... The 80s were terrible for music, just like it is now. Seems to skip a decade, music from the 70s was great, most of the 90s had decent stuff. The only songs in my list, would be mainly from bands that existed BEFORE the 80s.
  8. Extremely outdated to begin with, like YEARS. And who the heck uses EvoX anymore anyway? Disk partitioning for larger disks has nothing to do with the Xbox itself, it's your dash and other homebrew apps that can make use of it only anyway. You can format larger hard drives straight from the bios of some modchips, and dashboards like UnleashX can do it.......as well as many other things. Don't touch any of those installers, they're all very outdated. The best way to do it, is for him to get his Xbox HD Key and EEPROM (You can use EvoX for this, as it's probably the most foolproof method) and simply get XboxHDM and connect the new hard drive to your PC and fire up XboxHDM (You need to make an ISO with the necessary files)..............See www.xbox-scene.com for tutorials and the forums for help. The even easier way, is if your modchip supports it (An Xecuter 3 does, I have one) and have it format the drive.
  9. Did anyone else miss him saying he only had 256MB of RAM? Good luck running Oblivion, period. At least not without all the pagefile swapping making the game stutter no matter the video card you put in there.
  10. No, read the rules. No ROM requests! And this post isn't even in the right forum.
  11. Bad move, I pulled that one for a bit because I was too lazy to get around to installing mine. Found out I kept infecting myself with a virus contained in a program I burned onto a CD-RW with other stuff, and alot of other discs were infected. Just kept going in a loop (This was back in the days of "Reinstall Win98 a million times a year") of reinstall Windows-Infect PC-Reinstall windows-infect PC.......
  12. If it wasn't for the fact that game manuals etc in PDF are easier to use, I'd have to say the PDF format in itself is such a useless POS. I like how Comic Books are done, in a simple zip that's given a .cbr extension. PDF = Preposterous Dumbass Format
  13. Well, if I understand you correctly (And I'm not sure I do ), "backup" DS games do NOT work with single card download play if they are the host. However, they work fine with multi-card play, as well as Wifi play. Well I was obviously referring to a retail copy. Nobody can complain about something like that not working, when they didn't pay for it.
  14. I was led to believe you only needed 1 cart when you play against someone locally. This isn't true for all games, and all features, but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Mario Kart DS is one of these titles.
  15. Hrm not sure maybe something setup incorrectly in your browser. I never get the session ID numbers with Firefox or IE. Neither do I, I only ever saw SID's on here when I lost my Windows profile and had to create a new one (Thus losing my Firefox settings, which included allowing cookies for this site). Haven't seen it since. Your cookies aren't setup properly, or your firewall is being strange.
  16. What do you expect from an electronics giant that the average dumbass Joe has given the bloated head to think their products are high end? (When anyone who knows better, knows their crap is entry level and only high end to the average consumer). Sony thinks they're King, and for good reason. Most people out there think so too. Glad to see the idea of a boycott from some of you, but 70% of the earth is water.......and 70% of peoples heads are full of air. Won't help any, Average Joe still thinks Sony rules and knows nothing about the shoddy business practices they have. They're more cut-throat than Microsoft could ever be.
  17. What? Like the authors of Dolphin-Emu? It's well known that they're using open source code in their emulator, from other PPC projects (Like PearPC) and obfuscating the code, and not sharing.
  18. Picked myself up a 430w Cooler Master. All of the companies you guys recommended, have been severely slammed on every hardware site I go to, namely HardOCP's forums have a thread dedicated to just this and they're all on the "S**T" list. I've always liked Tt's stuff, but they apparantly don't even make their own PSU's, some cheap Chinese mfg does and they have bad reviews everywhere. Guess they should stick to cooling.
  19. Well it would have been better for you to explain that. I was under the impression you were recieving this error often/every time. In the case you were, I would blame it on RAM. As for a recommendation on RAM, why don't you let us know what you're running for starters? What RAM are you currently using, on what motherboard?
  20. Has absolutely nothing to do with a memory buffer overflow error. And I run 4 virtual drives in DT, have for far longer than 2 years......has nothing to do with it.
  21. Takes a good 10 seconds just to start up for me, and takes the same to resize the display (I actually thought it locked up the first time around). Have we UPX'd this? (It's pretty tiny at a mere 42kb) Timing seems to be a bit off on the CPU as well, I only tried a few SMS games......and they seemed a bit fast. I would imagine this isn't your doing, but it could probably use fixing. Also, is there a V blank at specific intervals? I keep seeing a black frame every 5 seconds or so. Gamepad works great, but I think you should make a single config screen instead of a keyboard one and a gamepad one. I couldn't figure out at first why my pad wouldn't work, until I noticed the checkbox for "Use gamepad" on the keyboard screen. A simple dropdown box with a selection of keyboard or gamepad would be better. Nice work though
  22. You can buy replacement screens on Ebay, I've seen em.
  23. Your "techie" friend is yet another "I went to school, so I know what I'm doing" person I'd shoot and piss on if they came within 100 feet of my machines. It's too easy to go to school now, get taught nothing (or taught WRONG) and come out with certification to diagnose and repair computer problems these days. 90% of graduates know NOTHING. I had my first computer when I was 4.......school couldn't teach me anything. A memory buffer overflow error is usually caused by faulty RAM. Reproduce the problem the same way, and test it by pulling a stick of RAM at a time until you can't reproduce the error. Oh and tell your techie friend he knows f**k all.
  24. Top one is apparantly not truly 400w, and the other 2 have been given several terrible reviews. Don't do Newegg, but thanks for at least suggesting something. Right now I'm running less a hard drive and an optical drive. 2 PCI cards out and no AUX power (And as such my CPU fan is running off an IDE molex - fan adapter lol ) on a 250w PSU. Serves the purpose for now, and keeps me from being relegated to using my PIII 600.
  25. Can anyone recommend me a good, stable power supply in the 400-500w range that won't cost me an arm and a leg? Don't say Enermax, cause every PSU they sell is retardedly overpriced from what I've seen. I don't give a rats ass if all the rails are adjustable and theres neon lights in my damn PSU, I just want stability.
