  1. 2 entirely different games as well. The Area 51 arcade game was also on Saturn though.
  2. Instant "TV's fault". The Dreamcast outputs 640x480 31khz RGB VGA, if your TV won't display this resolution with your PC, but it will display other resolutions, your TV is at fault. Sony is teh suck dude, sorry to rain on your parade. My Acer AT3220A is more capable than your Bravia, and much less expensive too. Mind you I like the 50" and DLP is nice, but the backend support in Sony's TVs is ASS. If you're looking for good support with all types of inputs, I'd suggest you sell that Bravia and go with something else. Do you by chance own a PS3, and have issues with HD on your Bravia? And no, unless your TV supports true RGB (Y, Pr, Pb) that cable is useless. Consumer "Component Video" is Y, Cr, Cb.
  3. Can I get the make and model of your TV please? If I can't help you, I'll point you in the direction where someone certainly can. Oh and btw, there is no such thing as XVGA (XGA though). Simply a substandard of SVGA, which is what you need for Dreamcast. If your cable hooks up, you have what you need. A regular VGA cable has less pins than an SVGA cable. People call 15pin D-Subs "VGA" cables, but in reality *VGA* monitors use 9pin D-Sub. If it works on your PC, I wouldn't blame the box. I'd blame an incompatibility with your TV, a bad SVGA cable (If you're using a different one than with your PC monitor) or you've not set something correctly.
  4. I'm pretty sure it's standard fare for all ATi (Or ATi based) cards to come with an S-Video - Composite adapter, I see one in the picture.
  5. What age does the average male go blind at? Does ones hands fall of before this?
  6. Carl's your typical redneck, fear him not........though small animals (More specifically, sheep) and his sister should.
  7. As a completely unbiased 3rd party here (I have no interest in this anyway) I have to say the review is a biased one. AphexMandelbrot is right, not only do you not meet system requirements due to your GPU lacking (Dude my system is far more outdated in the bones section than yours, and even I sport a better graphics solution. A Radeon 9550 256MB), you definitely don't fit the target demographic by any means.
  8. I'd say you're safe to buy from them. They have links up for BizRate, Cnet and Reseller Ratings which all bode well for them. Also, the price on that mouse isn't something to freak out over. It's roughly $25 everywhere.
  9. Go ahead, and then watch everyone like me boycott American products, and your exports go down the toilet. Not going to happen.
  10. Game may have a region check (Yes, this exists in PC games too!) so you'll have to change your locale. Try using the Microsoft Locale Utility. http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/tools/apploc.mspx If you aren't running Windows XP, you will be forced to change your locale manually.
  11. Aerowings 1 and 2 - I like flight sims, but these are more arcadeish.....still fun. MDK 2 - I honestly can't get into this game, but lots of others like it. You might. Ikaruga - Even though this game pisses me off to no end, cause I suck at it, I still keep going back. Virtua Tennis - Even if you don't like Tennis, you have to play. And I HATE Tennis. F1 World Grand Prix II - I still think the N64 version is superior. Headhunter - How the hell did nobody mention this game? I think it's the BEST game Dreamcast has to offer. Virtual On: Orotario Tanagram - Same as the Saturn/Arcade versions, only better looking. Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 - If you like THPS, 2 on the Dreamcast is the best version as far as I'm concerned. Daytona USA - I picked up a Saturn mainly for this game. The Dreamcast version BLOWS IT OUT OF THE WATER! Gigawing 2 - Ikaruga annoys me. This game pisses me off! (I like being pissed off by a game, challenging) Stunt GP - RC Pro AM meet.....well, something. Play it!
  12. DX10 on XP? Not fully, that's for sure...even less with this so called "wrapper". Anyone who has read any articles regarding DX10, knows there is NO legacy support in hardware. All pre-DX10 hardware will run through a software layer. BLECH! Given how "slow" Vista is in the first place, expect something like an ATi X800 to run like a Radeon 8500....
  13. And this is different to what we knew 4 years ago how? We all knew DRM, sandboxing and HDCP/CP were a reality with "Longhorn" (Now known as Vista). There is NO reason for anyone but the common Joe Idiot to upgrade to Vista. And the ONLY foothold Microsoft has in the rest of the Windows crowd, is DirectX 10. For all you PC gamers out there, I say "Jump ship" and go console only. I am.
  14. I've never had a problem with Paypal, and I've had 2 claims filed on me for a refund due to non delivery. I had no internet connection for 3 months, and even though I closed my store down 3 people managed to place orders (Cached pages? Google FTW!!) and I had no knowledge. They got their money back, even though I shipped to 1 of them on the basis they'd return payment (And never did). The only people with big complaints against Paypal, are idiots who don't conduct their business properly. If theres any doubt, don't deal with someone!
  15. Starting to get a bit warmer up here, was only -3c today. Gone back down to -10c, but it's a longshot from the near -20c + windchill a few days ago.
  16. Before you simply jump to that conclusion, check the cables and the jumper is set to the right position. Also make sure it's getting power, make sure the molex connector is firmly in place.
  17. My question is....... How many times can you re-release the same games on different systems in different forms? People complain about Nintendo bringing too many Mario games out, or other games. What about garbage like this from SNK, the company that can't admit it has absolutely NO ideas left or that they're dead in the water? I like the Metal Slug games, but how long will the milkage go on before people stop letting this kind of crap happen?
  18. Most games I've downloaded have been NRG, and I've only had a problem maybe a couple times. This has been caused by an improper CDI > NRG conversion, or something along the lines of a corrupted image. Can you take a look at disc details? I only use Nero, so I don't know how you do so in A120%. Check and make sure of these things. 1: That there is nothing wrong with ANY of the tracks. No "?" beside track size or any other errors etc 2: That there is TWO sessions. No game is selfbooting unless there are 2 sessions. Data/Data or Audio/Data. Games with CDDA audio will have Data/Data+Audio or Audio/Data+Audio. If theres only 1 session, you'll need to rip to ISO or Bin/Cue and use Bin2Boot to create yourself an image, though this isn't always foolproof. If you've played it in Chankast, #2 is already true I would imagine. So be sure of #1. Oh and I've NEVER run into a Dreamcast image I've had to overburn, and my US collection is almost complete. Oh and don't listen to the "Burn at lowest speed" bullshit. Lower burn speeds cause HIGHER PI/PO errors, this is an "Urban Legend" and is the most untrue rumour circulating the internet with regards to burning. Check CDFreaks and other places if you don't believe me, Google it. STOP CIRCULATING THIS BULLSHIT RUMOUR PLEASE!
  19. We don't have much snow here, in comparison to what we'd usually have. It was VERY warm up until 3 weeks ago. Like above 0. Snowed real hard for a bit, and I've only seen some flurries since. Should be colder than it is too. I like it when it is cold, I can go for a walk and theres nobody around cause they're all wimps!
  20. By no means. Fees are the same across all accounts, except now Paypal is letting you accept Credit Card payments on Personal Accounts (For an EXTRA fee btw). If you intend on selling ANYTHING, get a Premier account and avoid the extra fees. It's like having a basic bank account versus a premium one. If you need to use the extra features, even a few times a year......it's better to go up a tier. The Premium Account will cost you nothing, you only have a % of your sales taken as a fee. It gets smaller with larger $ values, so check Paypals Fee Schedule. The Personal Account used to be you could only make payments, but it appears now you can accept them. They'll charge you an extra fee PLUS the small % to accept credit card payments with a Personal Account, so go Premier. A Business account was useful to me, as it was just a Premier account with extra features. At the time I had one, it cost nothing extra.
  21. -18c here with a windchill making it feel like -26c. This morning at 8am, when I went out for coffee.....it was -24 without the windchill. Qwitcherbitchin! lol
  22. Paypal explains it quite well enough for you. Why do you need our help? Read the account descriptions you put right in your own post.
  23. Something with a very fine tip, 15w/30w adjustable (Or more range therein if you want to spend the money) and a steady hand. Sounds to me like the capacitor is of the SMD type, and quite small.......not trivial, so take your time!
  24. Sounds funny to me, you'll have 300x the amount of black people being fined than anyone else though. Kind of a waste of tax-payers dollars to be debating something like this. Why not ban all these stupid scientific studies into "What happens when you put a light bulb in a monkey's ass?", "What happens when you feed a racoon alka-selzter?" etc etc stupid useless studies getting tax-payer funding? These are world-wide money wasters, not just in the US.
  25. I use my Hotmail account with Thunderbird. I use a little app that runs in the background called HotPop. Only works with older Hotmail accounts though, any accounts created after MS instituted their automatic account inactivity deletion, won't work. Oh and btw, I HAD a Gmail account but I lost everything awhile back in a system wipe. It was rather new, and I couldn't remember the details. Seems Google deleted it. Anyone have an invitation for me?
