US television has a rather large market share up here in Canada, and our laws WILL smack this the f**k down. I bet once the industry see's that A: It won't be allowed to happen here in Canada B: It would be a HUGE revenue loss from the Canadian market, it simply will not fly unless they simply push it on US content providers only and not the backend stream itself.

How would you boost 1Emulation's forum/site activity?

I'll throw down on the table what GoRDoOnE brought up. We need Next-Gen (Or rather current now) forums. We also need to clean up the index page clutter. Get rid of the damn individual forum display and go with Corporate Parent Forums. I'm so sick of having to scroll 100 miles to get to the bottom of the page that I don't bother anymore, and NO I don't want to minimize any of the CATS. I'm sure alot would agree with me on this one. AMD planning Xbox 360 graphics on handhelds

You can have all the graphics horsepower in the world, but if you can't power it with a CPU with decent horsepower it doesn't mean a damn thing! I'm sure they'll be able to cram THREE 3.2Ghz PPC cores into a cell phone. Totally! -
Unfortunately, with the current security implementations, homebrew capability opens the door to piracy. The 2 are one in the same from a security standpoint. I'm sure with alot more work, and a different method of encryption et al' on retail discs, homebrew could be possible while blocking piracy. This would require considerably more money however, and you'd pay more for the hardware and software. Matter of striking a balance. XNA offers up some "homebrew" capability, but Microsoft has a pathetic system in place which requires a rediculous sum of money just to use created software. That and the XNA framework is a joke for optimization and every programmer I've heard from, thinks it's a pathetic implementation.

Yeah, and you can get back to us in 10 years when you're older and realize that porn doesn't create sickos. My wife and I watch porn together all the time, it's not akward or wierd. Sure, there are porn addicts that develop twisted thoughts of what sex should be, but their warped little minds were warped beforehand.

Theres another problem beyond you being 17 too. Doesn't matter if you're in the US or here in Canada, Politicians can't be trusted or relied on, PERIOD. Doesn't matter who you vote for, they'll screw you somehow. The only way to fix this, is make being a politician of any standing, a non-paying job or a low paying one. Then you'll get the honest people who actually want to do good things in politics.

I went torrent for it, since every site was really slow. Got it in about an hour too.

I shouldn't have to buy a stripped down DUMBASS version to have features removed. I am a POWER USER, unlike the masses, I don't need all those rediculous retard features for the computer illiterate. I should be able to have the features I want, and not have the ones I don't. That, is my point. If it wasn't for games, "Windows" wouldn't even be in my vocabulary, as I'd be 100% a Linux user.

I'm well aware that there are Tim Horton's chains in the US these days, do they run this event at the stores there? Either way, has anyone in Canada (Or the US if applicable) won anything worth mention? My wife just called me from work and told me she won an Ipod Nano. We've never won anything more than a free coffee or donut (Of which I'm working on collecting a dozen before I redeem em!)

I'm REALLY starting to believe that more than just an economic flip-flop between the US and China will happen. I'm starting to believe that freedoms as well will flip-flop, as they appear to be doing just that. Next thing you know, China will be an economic powerhouse with lots of freedoms, and the US will be in the poorhouse without even the freedom of speech.

And all of those features are resource hogs. This is EXACLTY why I don't use Explorer for my GUI or my File Manager in XP. My filemanager has bloated-ass features, but you can turn them off and simply have a power-user setup that eats next to nothing for resources. I don't need all the built-in CRAP, if I want to edit photos I'll use appropriate software. If I want to check out music files, I'll open the appropriate program. MY WINDOWS SHELL SHOULD BE JUST THAT! A F**CKING SHELL!

Samus naked in Super Metroid if you beat the game in under 1 hour. Not only did I never believe it, I beat the game in less than an hour back when the SNES was still "current gen" and I had some tricks featured in NP. Nevertheless, this was a big rumour that just wouldn't go away.

You're nobody unless you're someboddy! I was wondering where you disappeared to.

How in the hell is the engine like 7 years old? DX9 is a pre-requisite, if the engine was that old a DX7 card could handle it. If you think C&C3 uses the same engine Generals did, you are horribly mistaken. It's based on SAGE, but for the most part it's rewritten for their needs. And it's not 7 years old either........try 4.

Couldn't give a rats ass for the overpriced forced blu-ray player, but this is entirely untrue. You can open the controller and replace the battery, and there are 3rd party batteries already available. Also, from what Sony has said the battery has a considerably long lifespan.

I downloaded it last night, and I have to say it's "pretty", but I don't really like it. I'm a fan of the older games, and I HATE what EA did with Generals. While C&C 3 jumps back to the old feel a bit, it still doesn't feel right. Especially the default control scheme (Don't even know if you can change it, I didn't bother) where you have to select with left mouse and make actions with the right mouse button. I don't like that. The game also doesn't have the feel I'd expect for a sequel to Tiberian Sun, it plays more like Generals but not entirely. I don't like the "Squad" crap either, I want to be able to strategically place individual units, and be able to control multiple units as one. If you select 2 Rifleman units, you can't make them "Dig In", quite a pain in the ass. Given that I don't meet the minimum requirements for CPU (But everything else) it ran pretty well on my machine at low settings, and not too bad at medium. I tried Ultra detail just for eye candy viewing and I must say they put alot of detail in. Even the planes leave heat-trails behind them that distort things behind them. can't really say if I like it or not, but I do know it feels like it's somewhat of a cross between Tiberian Sun/Generals in terms of gameplay and doesn't feel quite right to me. Maybe with some control changes and getting used to, I could enjoy it.

When hardly any applications are x64 compatible, simply........NO. If you have some apps and games you can get x64 patches for (Quake 4 I believe is one such title, as well as a SMALL handful of others) then maybe you should consider it. But otherwise, you aren't going to benefit whatsoever.

USB standard, 5v......period. Couldn't say for sure on hooking up a drive and having it appear as a MSD. "Should" work just fine though, in theory.

VGA box on HDTV
ken_cinder replied to hi_resurrection's topic in DreamCast & Saturn Emulators [/pc/dc+saturn]
Sounds like the rantings of an ignorant Sony fanboy, only one of those would fly off the handle like you have. My TV also sports HDMI, 2 composite+S-Video, 2 YCrCb, VGA AND DVI-I (Dual link Digital and Analog support) with PC audio input. Your TV does NOT support YPrPb, it supports YCrCb. BIG Difference. You go off on a tangent all you like, I was tring to offer my help and threw in a bit of sarcasm and goofy spelling. You're far too unintelligent and ignorant to waste my time with, as I thought I saw in many of your posts on this forum before. You're a waste of database space. Oh and by the way, Sony's TVs DO suck flocking ass, as referenced by the huge ammount of compatibility problems users experience. And Acer is by no means an "unknown". By no means am I jealous, given my knowledge of Sony's poor track record and means of brainwashing the masses into thinking their hardware is "top of the line" (Go to any specialty store and ask for Sony, they'll laugh at you.........I just don't feel the need to pay what I'd pay for a new car, on a TV). And YES, it is your flocking TVs fault. Care to explain the HOW and WHY of it not supporting 640x480 over VGA, yet it can display a 320x240 composite signal from an old SNES? You can say all you want about home cinema forums, but when you know jack sh!t about how your hardware even works, you're just talking out of your ass like every other little goof out there. Go google some, and you'll find out just how many Bravia users are experiencing HDMI troubles with the PS3 for starters, not to mention all the other problems. Grow the flock up.
