Koh-ROMS Posted February 15, 2003 Posted February 15, 2003 well actually i play the SSF2 turbo and new challenggers PC version, and SF3 i play in arcade, Pocket Fighter i play in PS
notserbamma Posted November 25, 2003 Posted November 25, 2003 I agree with the person who said your fondest memories are of your first love (Street Fighter 2 Turbo) but I still think that (Street Fighter 3 Third Strike) is the most polished 2D fighting game ever... It flushed out button mashers, they hate it cuz you can't mash to win. Alpha 3 for Dreamcast is at a close 2nd just because of all the madness they added to it.
sighsimhopeless Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 Well SF 3 third strike had its qualities but once a person mastered the art of parrying the game becomes boring and the combos thrown out in SF 3 kills the game. However I would have to say that it did a good job wipeing out the button masher. As for best SF its definately SF II turbo I started out on it and I remember the days where we had a whole group of people playing round after round in a local arcade.
DanManXZ Posted November 29, 2003 Posted November 29, 2003 (edited) I've got to say Marvel vs. Streetfighter, but I actually grew up playing Streetfighter 2 Turbo on my Snes. For all those who think the SF3 games are perfect, just try Super StreetFighter 2 X on CPS2.That is the most balnced SF game ever made. Edited November 30, 2003 by DanManXZ
Cominus Posted November 29, 2003 Posted November 29, 2003 I think 3rd strike was the prettiest street fighter but the master the parry thing messed it up a bit(i still cant master it) alpha 3 was the hardest, you really had to know how to play the game to beat that one(bisons final takes more than 1/2 life) street fighter 2 turbo was good, you didnt really have to have any skills to beat that one, just practice.
shin_nihon_kikaku Posted December 23, 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 Hey KOH_roms You said your fave CPS1 Street Fighter Game was Super SF2 Turbo the SUPER SF's were the first games on CPS2. They don't look as good as most CPS2 games, but that's what hardware they were on. So you'll have to rethink your fave CPS1 StreetFighter
shin_nihon_kikaku Posted December 23, 2003 Posted December 23, 2003 (edited) The best Street Fighter game is Street Fighter III - New Generation I loved the first SFIII. Only faults with that one is - NO HUGO... I do own all SF3's, but I prefer New Generation. 3rd Strike was set to turbo speed all the time so I didn't find it as tactical as the first 2. ALEX and DUDLEY. Once you mastered them..Oh Baby! Edited December 23, 2003 by shin_nihon_kikaku
Lightsier Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 It's hard to say, each one had there good points and bad points. I would say Street Fighter 3:Third Strike in a heart beat, but they totally screwed up Sean in that one. To me, probably Street Fighter Alpha 3, Fei Long is the man.
hyperwolf Posted December 27, 2003 Posted December 27, 2003 I own all the streetfighter games, but I think alpha 3 is the most balanced and refined but I still prefer playing Super street fighter 2 as a one player game. Street fighter 3 is not really that balanced, Gill is a cheese ball.
goldenboy Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 street fighter turbo was amazing..!!! that triple shoryuken of ken, ohh nice memories, but the super street fighter 2 turbo whit gouki wasa the street fighter that i have played of all
bruiser187 Posted December 30, 2003 Posted December 30, 2003 street fighter II: champion edition was awesome but Super street fighter II: grand master challenge was a close one to it mainly because of the introduction of the messatsu no hado storyline with GOUKI agreed...sooo many memorys an so much cash spend lol......
Gryph Posted January 1, 2004 Posted January 1, 2004 definitely street fighter 2 champion edition. i spent so much money mastering that game...one of my goals in life is to eventually buy a SF2 Champion arcade machine. And the Xmen and TMNT ones
Juniel Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 the champion edition is the best.... although i am not a big fan of SF...
