I have only dabbled in Javascript, Basic, Visual Basic, Ruby and a little PHP. It is ultimately up to what you want to achieve. What is it that you want to do with programming in general?

You should be. Missing out on awesomeness. I have it sitting ready to burn but stopped short of burning it, having read a few bad reviews. I'm on my last disc myself and it's a toss up between this and Midnight Club.

Try an older build with the bios files that you already have. MvC2 works with all the builds that I have tried so far.

My old specs were a 1.6Ghz processor, 512MB of RAM and an Nvidia Geforce 5200FX video card. Ran MvC2 just fine, no problems. I'd grab an extra 512MB of RAM instead of 256 as it will help speed up your PC across the board.

Savestates are not working for every game. As far as I could tell they don't work for most games. Savestates aren't even compatible with every game via Mame on the PC, but much less so with Xbox Mame. If the game that you are playing happens to be compatible with FBAxxx, then use that instead. Savestates in FBAxxx are working perfectly.

Seems better than both to me, though I haven't really had a proper go at it. There's a few reviews up already if you fancy a read. Metacritic

Does that mean the game is bad? No it's just I'm sitting on a big backlog of games as it is. I wasn't a massive fan of the first one anyway so I'm in no hurry to get to this one. EDIT : Dead Space just joined the list

I've only played about an hour of it, but hopefully I'll get to it later on. From what little I have played it does remind of a futuristic Oblivion, then I haven't played 1 or 2 so i can't make any comparisons there. You can switch between first and third person, but the third person is more over the shoulder and angled down, rather than Oblivion's directly behind. Interacting with NPCs is the same as Oblivion too, with multiple choice responses available. Use of weapons and close combat seems exactly the same to me too. Maybe Inky can shed more light on it for now. I'm getting started on Fable 2, need to just pick one and stick with it for a change.

Yeah was thinking that myself. Since GTA nothing has pushed the gfx, but these few titles are definitely something to look at.

I'd recommend not using IE! Use Firefox or Opera. Or if you're feeling adventurous, Chrome or even Chromium. It's a bit of a mystery why IE suddenly stopped allowing you to use flash. Easily fixed though as Teck described.

Got Fifa 09, Fallout 3, Fable 2 and Far Cry 2 a few hours ago. Only tried Fifa 09 and Fallout so far. Fifa is as expected, slightly better, that's it. Fallout 3 reminds me of Oblivion in many ways but I haven't played anywhere near enough of it to make a decent judgement. I'm really looking forward to get stuck into Fable 2 now

This is to prevent PM spam, it won't aid in general board spam? I've been here over 4 years and never had 1 spam PM. The mods have usually been quick to expunge any 'normal' spam too.

Go here for DC burning apps/methods. It's been at least a year since I last burnt one.
