  1. But that doesn't mean more games will be sold, which is what also makes or breaks a system. Yeah if this had happened ages ago, but the Wii has already sold so many units now it's scary.
  2. Funny I was walking through the 'store' with my daughter yesterday and there was this girl of about 15 with a tattoo on her neck. I was thinking the same thing. I know my daughter won't be getting pastered with tattoos, especially not at that age. A friend of mine recently got one on her neck too and I was shocked. She already has like 6 tats but they are all hidden, except for a small one on her ankle. But this one is a tat of a barcode that says 'Expensive biatch' underneath. Not cool. Plus it's too far up her neck so now unless she wears a scarf it's visible all the time. Hell, my ex-wife had 3 small tats too, one on her ankle, which I didn't mind, but then 1 on each shoulder blade which I wasn't a fan of. I'm worried about where's next. The thing about these tats on the lower back and neck is that they're deliberately visible. If it was somewhere discreet and small then I wouldn't care. As you said GC, one age/weight takes over then these once 'sexy' tats will just end up looking deformed and ugly :S
  3. Straight to the index.php and then on to View New Posts. I haven't used the portal for years now :S
  4. The Force Unleashed on the 360. Average hack n slash with some semi-entertaining 'force' powers. Elevated a bit purely because it's Star Wars. Some nice gfx in parts too. Having a John Williams score playing in the background never hurts either. Mostly reminds me of the old Dreamcast Star Wars game, can't remember the name now.
  5. The countdown has been bumped twice now Yesterday it was down to under 24 hours for me. I would get rid of it until the last minute, once everything is 99.9% done, then start a 24 hour countdown! One that won't be broken
  6. Good stuff. Nice to see people just putting a face to the name, without whoring their picture(s) repeatedly for an ego boost. Welcome to 1emu!
  7. Infinite Undiscovery - Crap. I literally burnt it, mere minutes after I 'burnt' it. I was really looking forward to it too. Repetitive, dull, PS2 gfx, unforgiveable slowdown even with only a few characters on screen, poor controls etc etc. Just crap. Avoid. Tiger Woods 09 - I briefly skated over this one a few weeks back but I been playing it pretty solidly for the past few days. Just about as good as a golf sim is going to get. The graphics could be a little sharper but that aside, pretty flawless. Tons of gameplay modes, online, intuiitve club swing, plus a more traditional 'charge bar' for those who don't wish to swing with the stick. Viva Pinata : TIP - Basically the orignal spruced up a bit with multiple gardens and more Pinata(s). I loved the first one so this is not a let down. Good stuff. Visually childish but mature/deep gameplay if you can get past that. The Simpsons Game - I only grabbed this cause of my daughter. Being a big Simpsons fan it's a solid, above average platformer with sharp cartoony visuals and a lot of nice/funny voice acting and cut scenes. Also has co-operative play. I also finally finished Blue Dragon. I seriously didn't lose one single battle from start to finish and I'm a JRPG weakling. I did grab the DLC 'Ultra Hard Mod' though so I'm going in for a replay on the higher difficulty level. So many small achievements to get yet. I think the biggest is like 30 points. A serious amount of replay value if you are intent on getting every last monster/item etc.
  8. The Dark Knight, The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man. DK blows the other two away but the Hulk was a decent movie, Iron Man too in it's own way, if a little slow in getting started. I still can't really wrap my head around Norton as the Hulk though, or Downey Jr as Iron Man come to think of it.
  9. I find it sad tbh. I mean, Opera is a very mature, streamlined browser, better than Chrome and FF IMO, yet it's been overshadowed already I have gone back to FF/Opera because I really do need the 'reload every' function. Also the lack of flash blocking is grating on me badly.
  10. You could block ads externally with Peer Guardian or most firewalls have an integrated HTTP blocking feature. It also turns out that Chrome is integrated with the Windows Hosts file so you can add entries into that too. I added these two for starters - 127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com 127.0.0.1 ads.yieldmanager.com
  11. You can set your homepage to a single page or multiple pages, same as FF. I'm positive you can rearrange tabs in FF, I know for sure it can be done in Opera. There is an Undo Closed Tabs addon for FF btw.
  12. Flashblocking/adblocking I'm doing externally as it isn't incorporated into Chrome yet. The only small thing I'm missing is the 'Reload Every' feature from Opera/FF. Otherwise it's super smooth, uses literally a 3rd of the RAM that FF does, and is very clean, open and minimal - just what I want. One thing which I found very useful as a reference - hitting Shift+Esc brings up a Task Manager which gives memory/CPU usage per tab/site. Now I can see which sites are memory hogs and which aren't. Pretty neat feature.
  13. Yeah my usual pages are loading/rendering much faster than even Opera.
  14. Just watched the b&w version of the Mist. Good stuff. Also, The Happening. Yes, it was patchy but I like those sort of paranoid movies. If anything it made me go back and watch the Invasion of the Bodysnatchers
  15. Bad for whom? My ISP throttles at certain times of the day when you exceed a specified amount of GB. Just looking at last month's logs I tranferred 849 gigs, although this month it was only 384. On average it would be around 400-500. Considering the size of games, HD movies, flac, streaming video etc then 250GB may not be nearly enough for your average p*rate.
  16. You're missing the trailing [/b] in your sig btw
  17. Gryph, use DU Meter. A great little app for monitoring bandwidth usage. It can be set to monitor different adaptors, break down usage hourly, monthly whatever, warn when a specified limit has been reached, display current in/out speed and more. Great stuff.
  18. There was never a second of doubt that GTA4 would be released for the 360 given that the financial rewards were always going to be greater from that release. The point is that the thread is that MGS4 isn't coming to the 360. It's a clear 2 fingers up to 360 owners who are sensitive to this sort of thing. Personally I couldn't care less. Next thread : Halo 4, it isn't coming to PS3!! I'm all for at least trying MGS even though I was never really a fan of the cut-scene heavy set up. Celebrating the game for it's own merits is fine. Celebrating the fact that it isn't coming to 360 (or the Wii!), is pointless and inflammatory. Yes I know the story is true and Gouken had every right to post it, but he's intelligent enough to know that it would attract this exact response.
  19. I'd rather have Mushi Futari or Espgaluda 2. It's hard to swallow that all these Cave games are being ported and not even a region hack. I am seriously considering buying a Japanese 360.
  20. By 'you people' I'm assuming that you don't mean me? I made (I think) some relevant comparisons, and didn't 'dis' the PS3 or MGS4 because I have absolutely nothing against them. I wouldn't be surprised if this thread awoke BK from his slumber
  21. Actually most women do do, although it varies of course. A small number of men though do have no 'recovery time' needed and can just keep it up, so to speak.
  22. I appreciate that MGS4 is a revered game, but it isn't to everyone's tastes, and it still is just one game. Unless you buy every single game on every console then someone will tell you you are missing out on game 'X'. Take the FF series. I despise it yet it is one of the biggest selling franchises ever. By all accounts I am missing out on over a dozen world-class RPGs. Hell, just think of all the classics you have never played. I love to play shmups yet I don't have the kit to play them or even the money to buy them. Sure, if I could go to the arcade and play them I would but I'm not beating myself up because I can't play them.
  23. I didn't like Stahlfeder at all, very average. Btw it was released in 1996, 3 years before Gigawing Try getting Airgrave by the same company, it's quite a bit better.
