  1. well, it will surely look better but whether it is worth your time and effort is something of your choice. it is encouraged to check out all blitters on all emus for yourself (except NRX, sad to say its just dead on everything). in short, tweak it to your needs, it'll take time but its surely worth it. many people seems to be content with Kawaks and its good range of blitter options, so you may want to try that first. also, be reminded that Nebula can only use some of its blitters in the Windowed GUI mode (like its own D3D renderer). as for MAME, i have the least knowledge about it so i cant tell. one last note, with the exception of a few blitter options (like the Interframe Blending in Kawaks) blitters normally requires 640x480 as a minimum resolution. even back with your old PC? damn, back when i was using NRX i just cant stand frameskipping so i always disable any blitters.
  2. actually NRX is 320x240 without any blitters enabled. Neogeo in itself is only using 320x224 at max (or 320x240 - depends on what you believe in). im using FBA @ 800x600 D3D rendering and full stretch and if i have a faster PC, i will definitely set it to higher. MAME, Kawaks and Nebula shouldnt have problems switching resolutions as well. im not sure what the highest resolution you can use with MAME but im sure that if you cant see your desired resolution in the Kawaks/Nebula menus, you can set it yourself in their Config files (.ini)
  3. hmmm...Mugen? Kyo's fighting Vice but actually against Whip? even CTHD2003 didnt have that mess-up
  4. actually, sprites from SS games since SS3 is immensely animefied when compared to SS1/2, the pixellation is due to the Neogeo's native low-resolution, isnt that neat due to no filtering effects and few-frame animations due to space constraints (maybe, since the games just got larger as time passes). oh and did i mention that Neogeo only supported 16-bit color (or was that 24-bit)? i know what you mean and i actually agree with it. the thing is that theyve been trying to do it for years but bit-by-bit which is probably why everything still looks like old-school to most of us.
  5. the sprites are revamped, maybe not all, maybe mostly in-betweens. Terry was said to have been greatly improved animation-wise (cant remember where i read this) and i dont remember that kick from a screenshot i saw with Mai. from what it seems right now, the newcomers have their own reworked sprites but the same fighting stance that they originally used made it a lot less obvious. youre cynical because they just dont seem too obvious. GGX isnt all that impressive in my eyes (not saying that it sucks though, cause it doesnt). to me, the main ingredient GGX has was the anime sprites and Anti-Aliasing, yes sir, that "jagged edges" remover since the voodoo2 days, oh and im not sure but i have a hunch that GGX series used some type of filtering and true transparencies which SNK games never really did due to hardware limitations. to me, the only real visual difference between GGX and SNK games are high-res and low-res, which doesnt say much in my book.
  6. for some reason, the V3d ROM i have has a different CRC (3F0F7554), the others are the same as K'Dash's set. btw, ive downloaded these VxD ROMs separately from another site since i dont have (cant find) access to the encrypted V ROMs.
  7. yay! 2 new staff added to serve the people, congrats dudes!!! ....now give me my coffee
  8. yeah. im looking for the encrypted Vs though. or is IRC/Newsgroups the only way to get them?
  9. decrypted m1 is useless without decrypted V ROMs to accompany it.
  10. at the FBA forums it was once asked if they will support Progear in their next release and they said yes. now im not saying that you should wait for the next release of FBA since i doubt that it is meant to be tentative. im just saying that you may have a better chance waiting for an emu that will support it. besides Progear is now pretty much a 3-year old game, its not like youll need an eternity hoping for official release unlike any of the 2003 games
  11. if you have the MAME sets then you dont need loaders for this game at all. also, you may want to test the integrity of your kof2000.zip file (with Winrar in Windows Explorer, right-click, select "Winrar" (if its cascaded) then select "Test Archive"
  12. Dreamcast IS past PSX1 i sort of expected something more vintage in the title (like those crazy old Japanese computers ). i lived my life only with handhelds though.
  13. some clones still arent emulated. gamelist-wise it is completed already (without Progear and HSF2 obviously).
  14. you cant read a table while lying down, obviously
  15. im sure one way or another they used a PC to make a console game. so...yeah, im for PC. thats the only one between the differences that goes one-way.
  16. working fine on FBA, though i found a bug that crash loops Garou in "How-To-Play" (in AES mode - this was also present in Uni-BIOS 1.3 in FBA). im just not sure if Raz accepts bugs reports found from emulators or if this bug just exists in FBA.
  17. its either you press start+select or start+a+b+c. a box should show up, pick "Cheats Database" or something like it, select your cheats, exit from that section (press C) then "Return to Game". youre done, however, if you reset the game youll have to re-enable it again.
  18. who cares? he couldve been more civil at least. nobody gets paid for the help afterall.
  19. are you a retard? can you elaborate your problem better? also, why would you want to do it in DOS when its easier in Windows even by hand?
  20. the rom you have is for 2020 Baseball. whats the size of your kof2000.zip file? it should be around 40 MB with decrypted Cs and 70-80 MB for the fully encrypted version (btw, you dont need to understand what these encrypted/decrypted, blah, blah and hooplas means but the sizes should be somewhere near those). if its far smaller than that, something tells me youve been duped.
  21. set Daemon Tools to use Analog Audio instead of Digital. right-click the Daemon Tools icon on the taskbar -> Options -> then make sure "Analog audio" is checked. now play the game again. btw, thats when youre trying to use DT to emulate your Dracula X ISO. how youll burn it is beyond me.
  22. using Uni-BIOS can do the same too, but you will need to toggle it everytime you reset/restart the game. i actually prefer this way.
  23. You are right it never had Encrypted C roms But I think it had scambled c rom though scrambled? well...it does need special bankswitching I also went back to my fba source, and there is no decryption key, sorry, my mistake, but it stil needs special bankswitching and more code added to make it work. this is part of the init for fba static int cthd2003Init() { pNeoSMABankswitch = cthd2003WriteWordBankswitch; pNeoInitCallback = cthd2003Decrypt; ncthd2003=1; return NeoInit(); } i meant to ask for the Cs. im aware that cthd2003 requires special handling.
  24. You are right it never had Encrypted C roms But I think it had scambled c rom though scrambled?
  25. sorry, the NO ROM Requests rule has been enforced already. also it didnt took me a minute to find the game.
