  1. im sure people are already thinking Naomi/Atomiswave will replace Neogeo anticipation. i just dont think so.
  2. actually the game has been "perfectly" translated for a long while now. last time i played it, i didnt notice a lot of glitches at all and seems pretty normal. also i think it would be a total psycho game if it has blood and gore added.
  3. i still remember when he helped get a missing file from Kazaa (its in a zip file and i only needed a single file in there). he downloaded the same file i downloaded, upped the file i needed to a webspace then let me download it. since then people like you always made me wonder what kind of help i can give to people if only i have broadband obviously i cant forget that so thank you for the little pondering and happy drinking...errr happy birthday
  4. *sigh* ive witnessed the release dates of nearly all new banned games (in ROM form -from KOF2k1 to recently KOF2k3 and anything in between). screenshots, teasing and all. since SSZS being the last MVS game, i guess im gonna miss these kind of anticipation days afterall
  5. theyre ROM auditing tools. it tells you what youre having/missing in your ROMs for use with a specific emulator (MAME, FBA, Nebula, Kawaks or even a specific NRX hack if you have a DAT for it - you can even use DATs for Goodtools if youre collecting them). arcade-wise, this ensures that youll have working sets (unless otherwise noted)
  6. i thought its supposed to be "best-of-5" since round 5 will be the last round of the game and players try to win 3 rounds.
  7. i mean personally. i havent seen, heard nor tasted any of those (or maybe its just in another name and form here -not all of us in the US you know?) but the point still stands, ill kill all of you
  8. never heard or seen a klondike bar, but ill kill all of you anyways
  9. if theres one FPS game that can give me dizzyness (not that i had), its Turok 2 (i forgot how it goes with Turok 1). try jumping or climb a ladder on that game, youll see what i mean
  10. I'LL DO IT!!! errr...what was the question again?
  11. im still using my first and only PC that i bought back at the end of 98, and thats what got me into it: tweaking, games, musics, hooplas, etc. i have little familiarity with DOS from a long time though (about grade 6) but any PC terminologies irks me badly back then (like a vampire touching a shade of sunlight )
  12. now i wonder whos that "Escape from Jenny Island" user is? (its his/her/its birthday, so blow him errr.... a candle )
  13. i dunno, i think the combos are partly tiring here compared to the others in the series. but i have to give regards to the otherwise tight gameplay and above average visuals
  14. well i dont remember them saying theyll re-enable the violence, just bug-fix the carts, their reputation as a company to recent events may still be far more important to them. in the end (im talking 2010 here) this will only mean an alternate dump for us
  15. okay thanks, that should be enough for me to start
  16. well you can blame it on the bootleggers. im sure they can fix it, but didnt seem to bother (makes sense actually ). and i dont think this has only happened once. and btw, about specific visual errors, theyre not impossible at all. also, if pyro needs an s1 that has transparencies for nebula (sorry, cant be arsed to read back pages), hate to break to you but it seems theres none. i just tried a 512kb s1 + the "decrypted" Ps with Nebula 2.24 earlier. it loaded fine but the transparencies didnt display plus some tiles are missing. i just remembered that theyre only useful for open-sourced emus (since those provide ways of letting the s1 load properly). better look for a.bld transparency instead
  17. P.S.For God's sake..."If you failed to notice..."...Don't insult my intelligence or patronize me. i dont intend to insult your intelligence but let alone getting your games play gets rather complicated that it can tend you to overlook feeble stuff. it IS the emulators fault why transparencies are not visible. emulators arent perfect and you know it. within reason, they just arent programmed by default to even support these newer games that require different handling (the real sets DO NOT even have an s1 ROM to begin with - the s1 holds the transparencies if im not wrong). KOF2003 uses a new custom BIOS (seems to handle the intro sprite zooming) and new way of fetching s1 from the C ROMs. since ROMs and drivers for these arent out on the net, theres just no way you can make an emulator support it as equally as the older games. and this is just from an open-sourced emulators perspective like FBA and MAME. for Nebula, Kawaks and NRX that would mean no chances in hell unless you hack them. the only solution left for us would be ROMfixes. just look at it this way, the official sets never lost the transparencies and the bootlegs dont. others said there are bootlegs that has transparencies, but information regarding these sets are rather foggy.
  18. theres no such thing as a SNK-Playmore issued ROMfix and is highly unlikely to happen. doing so is like saying they allow bootleggers to modify their games (which they NEVER allowed in the first place). if you failed to notice, with emulation you can "custom tailor" ROMsets to work on an emulator. im not even following these 1.0/1.1 blah, blah sets since quite frankly, none of them are tentative. i just go for the ROMfixes that makes it closer to the real thing. for example, heres the set that im using with my own FBA compile. [Program] 271-p1.bin,0,400000,92ED6EE3,0 271-p2.bin,400000,400000,5D3D8BB3,0 [Text] 271-s1.rom,0,80000,F4515195,0 [Z80] 271-m1d.bin,0,80000,E86AF8F,0 [Samples] 271-v1d.rom,0,400000,D2B8AA5E,0 271-v2d.rom,400000,400000,71956EE2,0 271-v3d.rom,800000,400000,DDBBB199,0 271-v4d.rom,C00000,400000,1B90C4F,0 [Graphics] 271-c1d.rom,0,800000,E42FC226,0 271-c2d.rom,1,800000,1B5E3B58,0 271-c3d.rom,1000000,800000,D334FDD9,0 271-c4d.rom,1000001,800000,D457699,0 271-c5d.rom,2000000,800000,8A91AAE4,0 271-c6d.rom,2000001,800000,9F8674B8,0 271-c7d.rom,3000000,800000,374EA523,0 271-c8d.rom,3000001,800000,75211F4D,0 it does not closely resemble the set others but it works as good as the arcade.
  19. from what i read, the transparencies youre seeing right now arent "real" transparencies. it was said to be a duplicate of the background layer that simulates the transparencies in the game.
  20. ive never been into these old systems but sortof interested for a while now. if Agozer has played those then im sure my PC can handle it
  21. thank you . well now that my 56k issue is answered, my only problem left is that i may not be around the time of the show. so ummm...archive please?
  22. im actually more interested to hear the views of NeorageX authors on todays neogeo emulation than razoola (not that he is an uninteresting guy but were talking of long time MIAs here). also, will i be able to download the show later? i dont like the idea of listening to an internet radio with a 56k connection (plus, i dont think ill be around by that time )
  23. okay, C ROMs break down C1 = 271-c1d.rom + 271-c3d.rom C2 = 271-c2d.rom + 271-c4d.rom C3 = 271-c5d.rom + 271-c7d.rom C4 = 271-c6d.rom + 271-c8d.rom you will need a file splitting program like HJSplit, Minisplit, Winsplit or whatever you can find, they arent tough to find at all (im using Minisplit btw). the procedure would be: for C1: split the 16 MB C1 ROM into 2 parts (will become 8 + 8 MB). rename the first part as 271-c1d.rom and the second part as 271-c3d.rom same goes for C2-C4 16 MB ROMs. the 16 MB C5 and C6 roms arent needed and can be deleted (back it up first if you still need it) for the V ROMs, just split it into 4 parts (will become 4 x 4 MB). the order of arrangement is V1 + V2 +V3 +V4. for the s rom, you could just ask for it. its small, so it can easily be sent by mail or attachable (only by certain members here as it seems)
  24. urrrm..yeah, i forgot. thats true but the point still stands, its still a football stadium of games to actually collect.
