  1. you may need a P ROM that is NRX compatible i dont know where to find it though but i think that should be your best option. if the size of your game is around 40 MB (with kof2k1 v ROMs) or around 25 MB (without kok2k1 v ROMs) then you have the decrypted Cs already. actually i dont remember CTHD2003 having an encrypted Cs set. if there is, can you tell me what the GFXkey is for this game?
  2. Martial Champions = Konami arcade fighting game from a long ass time. Ehrgeiz = Squaresoft arcade fighting title (in 3D) which also includes Cloud, Sephiroth and Tifa in the game
  3. theres bad sound in Kawaks because your using the encrypted V ROMs. actually, only the C ROMs and possibly the M1 ROM are the only ROMs decrypted in your set. the Fix Value of C made it possible to work with Nebula but not in Kawaks since fix values arent native in Kawaks and loaders cant work with it. and yes, this means you dont have the fully decrypted ROTD ROM.
  4. im a forum nerd. i should know, i just cant help but glee at the title of that Christian talk show here : "The Lord's Flock" (no, nothing censored in what i said)
  5. well you can redownload the game all you want but it still doesnt guarantee you that it will work. looking at the sets looks like everythings tucked in per game (BIOS+the game themselves) to try and lead you to the easiest route (so you dont have to extract, rename and re-zip files), SVC can be played on NRX (possibly with fixes on Agozer's site) and SSV on a custom build of MAME (sorry no clue on that one). i cant make out most of the CRCs in both of the image so im not sure if your SSV is the kawaks dev set or not.
  6. i can see more in the smaller pic than the resized one.
  7. with files that huge and fragile, youre better off with RAR or ACE. 7-Zip doesnt have recovery methods.
  8. stupid me, i forgot me about that one, and i first played SF1 on a Turbo Duo (or was that TG-16?)
  9. hmmm...i thought the KOF2002 decrypted P ROMs are enough for NRX?
  10. i think i handed it down incorrectly, i mean they checked for the SVC:Chaos cabs alone. sure they couldve checked if their other games are bootlegs but nothings mentioned about them so i wouldnt know (or maybe i just didnt remember it correctly). ask Capt. Capcom, i think hes the one who posted that story.
  11. well the Saturn AVIs used the TrueMotion Codec...hey, that idea sounds good afterall
  12. how about the quality? the movie resolutions are small that i cant make a difference of them (but is scaled when played in the game).
  13. the teasing sucks though. i could respect his decision for not releasing the ROM but the teasing part? looking at his history with bootlegging, emulation and just plain popularity and demand for the games, he should've known the response he could garner by that time. to be fair, SNK actually were making efforts patrolling bootlegs and "rigs" back then. someone on A@H told his story about his friend owning an arcade center (let alone the SVC:Chaos PCB) when a couple of people from SNK-Playmore checked their hardware. it is creepy when you think of it
  14. hi all, i downloaded Last Bronx for PC a while ago, obviously Abandonware rips tend to have certain parts of the game removed (the ending and intro cutscenes in this case) and this one is no exception. i remembered my friend actually having the Saturn version. being a cheapskate that i am (other than the fact that i cant find it physically anywhere), i decided to try and see if the endings in the Saturn version can be played on the PC (since the game uses AVI and the Saturn version also uses AVI as well, but uses a different codec) luckily, i found a player for these kind of movies that can even convert it to normal AVI movies that the game requires. the only trouble i have is choosing between the compressors i could use. im opting for the widely used one so the movies will play on every PCs that i may install this game to. here are the compressors listed: Cinepak Codec By Radius Intel Indeo ® Video R3.2 Microsoft Video 1 Microsoft RLE Intel Indeo 5.04 so yeah, bottom line, which one of the codecs there is the widely used one? also which one would give the best visual results (so i may balance out my choice). thanks in advance and pardon the long story .
  15. god damn, the page is like.... well whatever, a free encyclopedia is something you can expect to produce hooplas anyway
  16. equivalently, this also means you cant play it on emus other than MAME.
  17. (nevermind - the reply i posted shouldnt be here - accident )
  18. as far as i know, Razoola dumped Garou (non-proto) when it was the right time. he also figured out the protection for it. there may be others that i didnt know. he can dump, but i dont think any of the ROM releases (from kof2k1) came from him (which is just right). also, i dont think he can work with the BIOS without dumping the games altogether. remember that ROM dumps are intangible image of the hardware themselves. it can be used for analysis of its contents.
  19. people need to admit that if it wasnt for emulation going to its extremes (new neogeo games, GBA, early N64 and PSX emulation, etc), emulation wouldnt be as popular as it is now. i doubt the community would be as this huge either. this is why i dont mind the small community incase of the change. its more probably what emu community could've been to begin with.
  20. whats the size of your ROTD zip file?
  21. well yeah, those are blood but you know pretty much how i meant to say it ..... okay, so i just want more (appropriate) gore, period
