  4. What's wrong with it? What's the name of your folder? I changed it from fba_0294894_src to that so it'd be easier to type. But more importantly, got any clue what that error is? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> the folder name i used? the same as yours. its all but a shallow thought so you can forget about it also, i cant remember the workaround for that problem. at worst, if i remember correctly i just reinstalled everything then all worked fine. check cygwin.txt for a binutils version that you should NOT use, that may be the one youre using and the one thats causing the problem, but thats just a guess. the source actually isnt badly documented, but it has its own holes unfortunately.

  6. search for this file at mingw.org MinGW-3.1.0-1.exe thats the main MinGW installation that contains an older version of GCC. this is what most (if not all) of us have been using all along (until the current FBA version that is). it doesnt contain everything else though (dx7, libpng, etc.) so youll have to set it up yourself
  7. as a word of warning. the current FBA version is sort of a b!tch to compile. you may be better off trying to compile MAME first instead.
  8. it wont. svcchaos and kof2003 uses a different encryption method for C ROMs.
  9. sorry Gryph, no chance in hell anybody can make that set works with Kawaks loader. try James Clone MAME (dont have a clue on other MAME builds on the net. that set is for Kawaks dev, and even that wont play it properly (messed up text data).
  10. unfortunately, its just doodles i was about to suggest CloneMAME or FBA Evolution, but theyre now probably using encrypted V ROMs for this game. such is moving forwards in emulation

  12. im referring to his set (which is the set KDev uses). i bet my doodles youre using an entirely different set. having said that, he may need to decrypted P ROM though without an S ROM he's textless in game. also, im not sure if the 16 MB would load properly (leaning to yes from what i remember)
  13. if im not mistaken, there used to be a NRX ini editor released. maybe Agozer can confirm this as i can only recall seeing a screenshot.
  14. youre fighting a losing battle here. all you really need is a Fix value for Nebula to properly use those ROMs. the Fix value for kof2003 is still being hoarded. time to go back to Kawaks Dev.
  15. dont forget that you will need Nebula loader to play newer games. or use an older Nebula 2.23 that has no lock function. asking for the loader is against the rules though if im not mistaken (not sure if talking about it is forbidden as well), just google it up, its not that hard to find anyway.
  16. the best method of testing the speed is to play with the fps hungry games., like Metal Slug 3 and KOF98 (yes theyre old, but those pushes the neogeo hardware more than anything recent). as for kof2k4se, if you like kof2002, youll feel right at home because nothing changed gameplay-wise (unless boobies and nudies changes the way you play ). more of a novelty item for collection.

  18. i think im late but heres something you need to know: 1.) the p1 you need is 32 MB, not 8 MB 2.) even if you get all the files you need, it wouldnt work properly with KDev anyway (garbled text data). however CloneMAME and other FBA builds on the net can use those files properly.
  19. yeah, theyre not darkened when theyre supposed to be if im not mistaken. as for Terry's Stage i didnt noticed the skipping either (but then again, NRX never supported linescrolling/raster effects, so the skipping seems normal) i didnt mind if the endings are only available in AES mode, but the garbled text is just....GYAAAARGH!!! ive also read at Romshare that there are patches that tries to perfect the prototype set. it seems to have gone extinct though
  20. in the prototype version: AI is far easier Gato doesnt raise his fist (before the final blow) in his HSDM animation. Garbled text in Marco's ending (and in many cutscenes as well) Jae Hoon's TOP attack freezes the game if i remember correctly. 3rd Round Terry's stage - the background skips every 3 frames, i just dont remember if this is triggered by a move or not. The 'r family Pal ending in Arcade mode - for pete's sake this should be obvious. the finished version includes major gameplay tweaks (damage, AI, etc.), obviously, all of the above were improved/fixed.
  21. the differences lies in the P ROMs garou - the encrypted set garoun - same as encrypted set but uses decrypted C ROMs garouo (set 2) - uses another set of P ROMs but everything else is the same as the encrypted set garoup - the prototype set, playable in NRX. the set 1 is basically the original encrypted set

  24. this is better off being supported in Nebula than standalone. hopefully, in time though.
  25. Urban Chaos and TrickStyle. both for PC and both legit copies (something i never did back in 2000 )
