If you can use torrents then I don't see the problem. There are plenty of search engines out there! This forum isn't to tell you where to download 'backups'. If you get stuck with an emu/rom once you have acquired them then certainly we will try to help.

The DC version is better, no questions. A list is easier to view. DC -Better sound quality. -Sharper image. -Slowdown = There is slowdown in TATE mode, and I do not view this as a bad thing since it is identicle to the NAOMI version. I do not view the GC versions "No slowdown" as a good thing, and it will make areas of the game HARDER compared to the NAOMI. Examples are TAGERI (HARD mode would be a nightmare) and the Chapter 3 boss once he starts shooting lasers. GC -A decrease in sharpness is clearly seen from Chapter 2 on. This bothered the hell out of me. -Conquest mode - This is useless, there is a dump truck of better videos out there than these. Choosing sections of the level to start at is also flawed because you can't select if you want to start with full homing. -Music is out of sync. -Sound and Music glitches. -Graphical glitches.

A lot of the emulators used in the BAED Evolved discs have been updated multiple times since release. Were they not released 2 years ago? There is nothing special about these releases. Just grab romsets for SNES, Megadrive, CPS1/2, Neo Geo etc and the latest emulators and make your own discs. It is very simple really. Extract the emulators into a folder and then add the roms into the 'roms' folder and make an ISO image of the whole lot. Burn to DVD and there you have it! Making it yourself means you can have only the roms that you want, not just full sets with a load of games you will never touch. Apart from that, playing these emulators from disc isn't always ideal in terms of speed, much better to make a small selection of your favourites roms/emus and play them straight from the HDD.

I thought Tekken ran on PSX hardware anyway, I mean the arcade versions? It is too much strain on the Xbox due to the way Mame works, 3D is just too intensive. Even 2D games with 3D rendered sprites struggle to run at full speed. Basically any of the Taitogfx/PSX stuff is a no go. All those PSX-based games struggle on the Xbox because of the heavy use of polygons eg. Battle Arena Toshinden, Brave Blade, Ergheiz, Rival Schools, Soul Calibur. The likes of RF and RF Jet I would like to see added too but they weren't even added until a later Mame core like .88 or something. If anything I'd like to see some games that have had sound added or gfx/bug fixes updated rather than trying to add unrealistic games. Of course a port of a much newer Mame core would be ideal (now who's being unrealistic)

That's the nature of public trackers. To put it into perspective a bit, only 120MB of the 4.4gigs is BP's work. Actually a lot less than that, but the vast majority of the package is roms which can be easily acquired elsewhere. No offence to BP of course. I seeded to around 6.5 gigs personally but that's how it goes. It's a shame to see so many hit'n'runners though.

Try out a few of these games like Strikers 1945 2/3 via Mame on your PC, then you will see they play nowhere near how they are meant to. Choppy shmups are a waste of time. There are one or two others, can't remember them off the top of my head. Dragon Blaze is one though that needs removed. The slowdown is apparent and intrusive from Stage 1-1. Unless disabled sound helps any then I would seriously remove it.

The info screen isn't available any longer so I can't tell which games have sound disabled, and which games have non-working sound. I randomly started a game called Riding Fight just a moment ago, never seen it before in my life. There is sound as the Taito screen comes up, but there is no in-game sound. I couldn't check to see if the sound was non-working or if it had been deliberately disabled in order to get it to run smoothly. No big deal. For any of these games which will have sound disabled by default, will there be an option to enable sound if the person so wishes?

There is a case for including multiple versions of the same game in some instances. For example, some games have a higher default difficulty in different locales. Progear (No Arashi) defaults to a higher difficulty level when using the native Japanese rom. World/International/US should be default if only for the sake of possible language issues.

I haven't had the chance to try it out yet but I'm assuming autofire hasn't been re-added? It's just I play mostly shmups - Raiden, R-Type etc - and for some of these autofire is a necessity, or at least saves extreme wrist pains!

It's crap and you know it. Reminded me of Blair Witch in that it was hyped to death, and the camera work was nauseating. The acting was on the whole, embarrassing. Apart from that it was great!! Watch the Maltese Falcon instead EDIT : Living in Florida.. make that Key Largo

OK. As soon as I finish I'll look into it. Never uploaded to any of those sites before. If all else fails I'll just send it to you over MSN/Yahoo or whatever.

If your speeds is slow then it won't matter where you download it from really. Maybe you could get someone to strip out the roms and send the emu part over MSN or something? How much space each part takes up I don't know yet, I'm only a third of the way finished. If it hasn't been upped to Megaupload before I finish then I could do it. If you don't have an account I think it's a 100MB/day limit anyway so it'd take you forever-ish.

For those mentioning 720p, do you mean a 720p skin or actual 720p support for the emu itself a la FBAxxx? (Not like I can do anything about it, just wondering)

I do remember at one time I had problems with Double Dragon running very slow and having to use frameskip to compensate. I just tried Double Dragon out for myself in Mame32 FX 0.120 and it plays fine. Try Mame32/Plus/FX or even Fastmame. If it's due to low specs you could try -nojoy or disabling the sound to improve framerate. EDIT : I missed that this was Xbox related. Yep, runs fine in Mamedox.

I haven't watched this since it changed to WWE, actually from around WM10 with the Michaels/Ramon Bret/Owen matches. The only event I ever really liked was the Rumble. '92 Rumble with Flair is still my favourite. And it was always a homo-erotic soap opera from I started watching it around 87/88.

Usenet I'm not sure about, but I was told it will be making it's way to xbox-sky. It is a private torrent site though so if you don't have an account you will have to wait either; for it to be upped to Rapidshare/Megaupload; or for it to be leaked to public trackers.
