I still carry the pain of not being promoted, hence the low post count Seriously though, I can't put my finger on it. This is the only forum that I have stuck with for this length of time. Maybe it's to due to the lack of d**kheads posting, or the broad range of gaming topics being discussed. Also I think that I thought I could always contribute here in some small way, having owned and 'cracked' so many consoles down the years and wasted so many years gaming and emulating. Even though my passion for gaming has waned these past few years I still have a thing for emulation ( thanks almost entirely to my soft-modded Xbox ). I think I'll hang around for another 4 years or so

I tried Live purely to try out online gaming but it didn't draw me in like I thought it would. Still I made a lot of use of the Marketplace and such and didn't regret paying for the subscription. Not to mention downloading additional content for the likes of Oblivion. Being able to acquire whatever 'backups' I wanted ruined the last Xbox for me. Go with Live and hand pick a few quality titles and enjoy. Personally I adored Oblivion, though it isn't multiplayer, there's a lot of extra content for it. As far as multiplayer, the only game I really enjoyed was RS : Vegas.

IIRC Utopia 1.3 was the final/best version. I have like 130 DC games and only 2 need a boot disc. AFAIK you can make non-SB into SB anyway.

If I hadn't sold my 360 like 6 months ago I'd still be playing Oblivion As it is, I'm playing (re-playing) COMI on ScummVM for the Xbox. Beautiful 2D environments, challenging puzzles and just top gameplay.

Did you try these games in Chankast or nullDC to verify that they even work?

Almost all Xbox emulators are 'old' and haven't been updated in a while, if ever. BAED3B (and A) is a good source of xbox compatible roms, which then can be used with newer emus or whatever.

Thanks for the explanation. I can see a hell of a lot of time and effort has been put into this emu. I have a near complete 0.84 romset if you need any games tested or whatever. Keep up the good work

Just tried Osman in Mame128 but no luck. It actually lists it as unplayable. Checked the old 0.84 changelog and it says Osman was added, but to the Non-Working list.

Thanks for the response. I see what you mean now. Guess I just prefer having a big mess of roms and a few different emus to play about with. When you mentioned the bugfixes do you mean that you have gotten unplayable roms to run, or speeded up some games, or added working sound? Do you have a list of these bugfixes?

Could some one please explain to me what the purpose of 'Platinum' and 'Arcades' is? I fail to see any difference between my Mameox128/FBAxxx Pro setup and the Platinum2/Arcades one. To my mind FBAxxx Pro is far more preferable for any CPS1/2/NeoGeo and any other supported games (eg Guwange, ESPRaDe) due to autofire, extra video options, rewind/forward, record, HD support etc etc. Please correct me here if I am missing anything. Mameox128 is simply more preferable to me due to the autofire, as I mostly play shooters. IIRC there are more options in Mameox128 than in Platinum too? I am NOT knocking this as it looks like a lot of effort has gone into it, I have in fact got it on my XBox right now. I would just like some insight into the purpose of it, apart from streamlining the roms, which I have done myself from a full 84.3 romset.

Possible? Yes. Likely? Not at all. I doubt that it would fare any better than CPX3 with CPS3 anyway. I was never excited about CPS3 emulation really as I already had SF3 for DC/XBOX. Ultimately, whoever attempted the port would really only be doing it for the 6 measly CPS3 games anyway. Not worth it IMO, but if it happens then all the better.
