  1. Even if it was ported it probably wouldn't run as well as CPX3 anyway, with it being a dedicated CPS3 emu, using less resources. As you said, concentrate on stuff that doesn't work then it'll be all new material for people to play with
  2. No modchip required. A simple 1 disc swap does the trick. You just need 1 original pressed disc to do the swap with. You must region patch the iso to your Saturn's region first though or else it won't work. SRP (Saturn Region Patcher) is one such utility. And yes, it is a great machine for shooters, especially for the likes of Batsugun with it being imperfecly emulated. Also, Soukyugurentai Otokuyo is a cracking shmup. Damn, I think I have every Saturn shmup available apart from the homo-eroticized Cho Aniki.
  3. Welcome to 1emu! Yes, as fu said L+R+Back+Black is a generic soft reset for almost any app on the xbox, including emulators, xbmc etc etc.
  4. Misleading indeed. As a sidenote - a nullDC based Naomi emu is in the works. IIRC it's only preliminary, but it's entirely likely considering that Naomi hardware is a DC with double the RAM.
  5. Is there anything on it that's irreplaceable? If not then you could just reformat it and start over. If it still reads from disc then you could use something like Slayers or Auto Installer Deluxe to reformat and replace the softmod. That's all assuming the drive is damaged. Can you ftp into the drive from your PC? If so then you could transfer what's on the drive over to your PC and then format. What about just browsing into one of the emulator folders, say Zsnes, and launching the default.xbe from there? Have you tried that? Even if the UDATA/TDATA folders for your emus had been deleted they would auotmatically regenerate, or they should. Try installing a completely new emulator to the xbox and see if it runs. It could be a 100 diff things, but if nothing works it's no big deal. At least you can reformat and start over
  6. ..in before 'and where do I get these thing ISO??' Quick rule of thumb with DC games. If it's .cdi then it's almost always self-boot, otherwise it's most likely not.
  7. Sorry, another GTA 4 victim. Actually, I pretty much dumped the solo mode and jumped into Free mode online, and normally I depsise online gaming *will try harder*
  8. Zero Team is unplayable in Mame, that can't be helped. The board does use a 'suicide' battery. The only way to fix this is to get it repaired by the manufacturer, or similar. Otherwise it's useless.
  9. Hell, I wouldn't go out with a woman unless she smoked. Husky voice ftw Lol. A bit extreme maybe Edit : Just thinking about it, I have never been out with a woman who didn't smoke. Not deliberately though!
  10. ?? details and a link, until then.. it's bs to my ears. Just going by lots of comments on torrent sites. Also other problems like corrupted save games, unreadable disc errors. Probably most of them are down to bad burns but still, not good.
  11. Hey, where's Mars Matrix?? Just kiddin. Good stuff
  12. Lol no. It appears the pirated/burned copies have more noticeable issues. The only thing was that I hit a fixed post at full speed and the screen took a split second to catch up. I can honestly say that I have noticed no pop-in whatsoever.
  13. GTA IV. Managed to snag a copy despite no pre-order. Stocks criminally low here in the UK. Had to get one from local 24-hour supermarket (Tesco). Luckily enough I have a relative working there. Unbelieveably, for the size of the shop, it only received 28 copies of GTA, 14 per platform. Well I been playing form around 1am GMT and it's now 5.30am, sleep required. To summarize. - Done around 20-ish missions, all a breeze - Vehicles handle more 'realistically'. You can't throw them around corners as easily now. Plus weather conditions like rain play a big factor. Takes a bit of getting used to - Used little of the cover system so far but it plays pretty naturally - Looks great on my generic 32" LCD at 1080i via HDMI - NO pop-in, ups or outs that I have noticed. Even flying down tree-lined avenues at top speed in the middle of the day there was no frame-rate issues or anything. Smooth - The non-existant load times are great. You just walk from indoors to outdoors and that's that. Keeps everything ticking along nicely - Serious lack of bikes. A few of the Harley-esque ones but that's all I've seen so far - Size-wise it's pretty much on a par with SA, but without all the crappy patches of empty countryside etc - A lot was made of the vertical space but, being used to Crackdown, it's not come into play for me. Everything still plays pretty much at ground level, at least so far - The phone is a great tool. Make dates, arrange Pool games in a quick call - GPS is very useful too, and way-markers can be set to make journeys that much more direct - Pressing B in Standard mode (in a car) will activate Cinematic camera. Not bad, but if you click the left stick beforehand then Cinematic mode becomes Slo-mo Cinematic mode, making for some great slow motion car wrecks, handbrake turns etc - Handy mission re-try is activated by replying to a text message on your phone. You are then transported back to the location of that previous mission (Trip Skip) Enjoyable so far. Cut scenes are much more immersive than before, and as always the music is great, this time with even more stations. That's about all I can think of for now.
  14. Just an update on this RROD thing, I found a related article. Full Article
  15. lulz. Way to read a thread sir
  16. IIRC there was nearly 2 gigs of audio, plus whatever other junk on top of that. I wouldn't be surprised if the game itself could have fit on a CD-R. As for the sequel, the plot alone makes me speechless. Thank the lord for GTA 4.
  17. Try the Clear Cache code : X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, X It will erase any other game updates too, optional codec update etc, but it may trigger the install? Ok, will try it tonight Forget that, seems that information was erroneous. Kotaku content states that the X360 version has no HDD install, not even as an option. The PS3 has a 3.4gig mandatory install which apparently reduces pop-in. The review states that although the 360 version looks slightly better and has smoother framerate, the PS3 version is almost entirely devoid of pop-in (assuming due to the HDD install). Strange why it wasn't offered as an option to Xbox users? Comparison feature here

  19. In a vain attempt to stave off GTA 4 can't-wait-til-tuesday blues, I was reading through as many reviews as I could get my hands on. I stumbled on this in one review, related to the HDD queries.
  20. Ransom and Payback : Straight Up, a 2006 Director's Cut of the 1999 original. Quite a bit different than the original cut too. Good shows.
  21. Got my 360 (again) earlier with Halo 3 (came with it for free) and I grabbed Oblivion again too. Opted for a Premium as they were brand new stock with an HDMI port. So I can keep my Xbox1 running through component at the same time. The guy in the shop swore it came packaged with an HDMI cable, but there was none supplied, so I'll have to get one tomorrow. Can't wait for GTA now, watched the IGN video review, looked mighty impressive.
  22. I missed out on 4 as I hadn't a PSX at the time (see Saturn), or an N64 yet. I did have Gold for the DC though, still here somewhere. Nice review btw.
  23. I didn't think they were allowed to use the HDD to improve load times or whatever, as it discriminates against those without one?
  24. Awesome. Get a chicken as soon as you can, then put the egg in the incubator so you dont have to buy chickens anymore. Also improve your rucksack as fast as you can, it will help you gather items in the mountain and mine. Done and done! Also back onto Oblivion 360, days just melt away
