  5. N64 arrived today. I thought it was bigger. Works fine. Now my console collection is complete (Im considering the revolution too, but well, one can overdo things.) SNES N64 Genesis Saturn Dreamcast and ol' PSX Now i must hunt the fleamarkets for more cartridges.
  6. Well, simple solution. Buy Modchip instead of game
  7. As we had assembly in the topic about emu coding, here is a decent link for those who like to learn: http://webster.cs.ucr.edu/ Beware, its _very_ techie, so you may consider a high-level-language
  8. Many may know, some may not, so go check http://www.moddb.com/
  9. opcodes are not regular codes. i.e. they are undocumented and unsupported, noone should use them, yet they exist. They can, for example, do 2 things at the same time. so you could have a decent working emu, that doesnt support opcodes. All games that dont contain opcodes will run, any game calling an opcode will crash then. So the alternative would be to leave opcodes out (first)
  10. I have a Yoshi Island cartridge, that works only now and then. Sometimes i put the SNES on, and all works fine. Intro plays all the way a dozend times. When i hit start, the screen blinks once, then the game resets. Weird thing is, sometimes all works fine, mostly right after i switch the console on and push start. Can play several hours then without reset bugging me. This behaviour appeared on my spare SNES as well, but with no other cart i have, so i suppose it must be something inside the cart. But how do i get that thing open ? Any tricks anyone ? I read somewhere, some guy used a melted plastic stick, pushed it on that weird screw and he was then able to loosen these thingies, but all plastic stuff i tried, didnt work.
