Help Shiba get rid of his GeForce 3
ken_cinder replied to Shibathedog's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Good thing I haven't paid you yet. What type/size of RDRAM? My computer runs PC800 Samsung RDRAM. I've got 4x128 in here ATM. -
Help Shiba get rid of his GeForce 3

Yep, the pawn shops here will give you $20 CAD for a Gamecube, and they sell em for $89 (I laugh at this, because a brand new one is like $99). But if you're hard up for some crack money, and you don't like blowing for it, you'll sell your crap. lol Oh and btw, the GF3 is mine. I just have to pay the man. -
I've always stuck with Intel, but since AMD hit the 64bit era, I've found their CPUs are much better than they used to be and better than Intel's. Even if Intel has a horsepower edge right now, their CPUs still consume more power and run WAY (And I mean WAYYYYY, you can fry a f**king egg on em) hotter. That and they're more expensive.

Help Shiba get rid of his GeForce 3

8.1 is just a revision of 8. No board out there states otherwise unless theres a firmware upgrade released and someone happens to waste their time changing that. I'm going to send you a PM with an offer, after that it's up to you. And I do, do Paypal. -
Help Shiba get rid of his GeForce 3

I could use an older half decent video card for one of my PCs, can you tell me EXACTLY what this GF3 is? I may wish to buy it from you if the price is right. -
Looks like theres holes in the feet of the speakers and you can turn em, for screwing em into the wall.

Have you taken a look at the specs between the 2? Not only is the Logitech setup more powerful, but it has a wireless remote, supports DD + DTS + DLP II. Even if you don't have hardware to take advantage of that, the extra what? $50 is well worth it over the Creative setup. I've got a Creative 4.1 setup here, and I must say I'm not impressed. Well, I am given what I paid for it back when I got em, but I probably could have spent another $50 myself and got something that stomped the crap out of em.

Okay you internet shoppers, I need help

I'm guessing when you think arcade, you think CPS or Neo Geo. Most arcade hardware is standard JAMMA single PCB or even older than that standard. Mount this vertically...... Don't know what I need that engadget link for either. Anyway, you'll see what I mean when I'm finished and I have pictures. -
[11/28/2006] Need For Speed Carbon: Own the City
ken_cinder replied to Mooney's topic in 1Emulation.com Reviews [/reviews]
Yeah, nice review. And I doubt Carbon is good on any system, I have it for Xbox and the game SUCKS ASS! Carbon was just a money grab, there was no effort involved in making it. The graphics are a step down from previous games (I still think Underground 1 looks the best) and the driving goes over 3 notches to the ARCADE level, even drifting requires NO skill now. -

I'll check out Office Depot, but I've decided I'm probably going to have to go with a small suitcase. You know, one of those carry-on PVC types. If I want my controls mounted internally, It's gotta be like 7" deep. Oh and as for mounting sideways, it's totally possible......but then I'd need something even bigger lol The only arcade PCB I currently own is Double Dragon, and it's 13" long x 12" wide and 2 layers (nearly 2") thick. -
Im sick and tired of my WRT54GS

I own some Netgear hardware, and I'll tell you this........my switches are mounted on the wall, and they've fallen off in the past. Linksys in the garbage because it broke, NetGear 10mbit hub (Use it for internet only) is still working flawlessly. I just replaced the 10/100 Linksys switch with a NetGear one too Oh and until you go at least N, you aren't going to have excellent reliability. Wireless hardware is just not as reliable as wired. Why don't you hardwire your VOIP? -

You wouldn't need to if you read my whole post. Portable Supergun, AKA Arcade machine consolized. -
I just bought myself a supergun PCB, and my plans call for a metal (Preferably aluminum) briefcase as housing for it and components. Only problem is, I can't find one big enough in stores here for a reasonable price, and NOTHING on Ebay that is feasible if it is big enough. What I need is a briefcase that opens like any other, not a lawyers case or anything. I'm mounting a 5" PSOne LCD inside the lid with a set of speakers..........yes, a portable supergun. But it needs to be deep enough to house my components INCLUDING controls. I don't want this thing having anything that has to be attached externally execpt for the power cord, and being used on a normal TV. I need a briefcase that is 24" long or more, 13" wide or more and at least 14" deep. I realize this isn't the norm for laptop cases or even the average briefcase. Which is why I'm asking for help in locating a suitable one. Price must be reasonable, and metal isn't a must. PVC is fine, but no leathers or fabrics. HELP!

I had to uprade for the SPTD, older version interfered with Perfectdisk 8.0 on startup scans. Same thing with StyleXP, I have to disable it on startup. Device drivers loaded before the OS fully boots......SPTD fixed now though.

No, more like Labelview Pro I use at work for printing tags/barcode labels. The dongle is a USB key that looks just like a USB Flash Drive, only it's got an encrypted key stored on it with the license details. If said key broke or we lost it, and we couldn't get a replacement because of whatever reason, we'd be well within our rights to crack the program.

Most motherboards with onboard video do not supply an AGP slot (As the AGP bus is directly linked to the onboard video). He'd have to go with PCI in that case. I know everyone doesn't have money to burn, but in the case you'd be stuck with a PCI card, I'd suggest replacing the motherboard with one that doesn't have onboard AGP video (As the cheapest method versus buying/building a whole new PC), buying an AGP card and selling off the old mobo.

What was "reversed engineered" faster than the PSP?
ken_cinder replied to Ghosty's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Didn't mean to come off harsh, I'm just soooo sick of seeing this. It's great that they didn't patch the hole that made this possible on the Cube (If it even is a "hole") but it's hardly got anything to do with exploiting the Wii. -

ken_cinder replied to Ghosty's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Are you insane? Nothing has happened regarding the Wii, it's nothing that can't be done on a Gamecube.......the Wii isn't reverse engineered. FTW WiiTARD. That's just like all the stupid morons who were claiming the 360 was running an SNES emulator, when it was nothing but the MCE displaying said emulator running on a PC. This is nothing but GAMECUBE homebrew running on the Wii. -
I find that funny that people are saying it's "graphically as good or slightly better than the Xbox". As far as I'm concerned, there isn't a better looking title than Metroid Prime 1/2 on the Xbox. Oh and when you get right down under the hood, and OFF paper propoganda, the GAMECUBE is more powerful than the Xbox........the Xbox just has the added benefit of loading crap onto the hard drive and streaming from there. The Cube's 450Mhz Gecko PPC CPU is far more powerful than a Pentium III 700, and although it only has 48MB of RAM in comparison to the Xbox 64 (BOTH of which are shared by the GPU, BUT the Cube's is on die) it makes use of MUCH faster 1T SRAM than the Xbox's SD. If the Gamecube had a hard drive like the Xbox, it would kick the living crap out of it.

Potential customer wants specs and asking price...... Otherwise I suggest Mandriva.

If you're gonna spend your money on a new TV, and you want an HDTV capable TV......for f**k sake don't buy something like that. 4:3 HDTV from some company I've never even heard of. At least buy from a company that's been heard of, even if they aren't highly praised. That and 16:9 dude, what's the friggin point of having 720p capability on 4:3, and not being able to watch widescreen movies the way they were intended?
-
Just heed the warnings out there, and keep in mind theres no performance gain between a 5400RPM drive and a 7200RPM drive, so stick with a 5400 for less heat. Also don't go too big, the more platters.......the more heat. Stylus has to move around alot more between more platters. How you gonna install Windows? Windows doesn't support PPC CPUs, period. I can see alot more things running on here too, an SNES emulator totally feasible in software too. As of yet, you're not gonna have hardware acceleration capability with the video hardware, but the PS3 is powerful enough to drive an SNES emulator completely in software at fullspeed.

Go into your settings and add this hublist under DOWNLOADS. http://dreamland.gotdns.org/PublicHubList.config.bz2 We aren't supposed to give out addresses and stuff for Warez, and as such I can't tell you any hub addresses. We even stopped having our own DC hub here for just that reason. But I can tell you, use that public hublist and filter the hublist with the word "Sega". Maybe you'll find the hub I'm in, where there's some Dreamcast games to be had

Take that back, I'm not racist. I hate everyone equally.

I'd put my money on one of these things.... A: Update your graphics card driver. This is a huge contributor to BSODs when there are driver conflicts. B: Disable auto restart when the system detects a problem. If theres a real problem, you'll know it. Often Windows will restart itself when there is no real problem. Right click on My Computer, go to the Advanced tab and click on Settings under Startup and Recovery and uncheck the Automatically Restart box. C: Running a motherboard with a VIA chipset? VIA sucks, PERIOD. Make sure you have the latest chipset drivers.
