  1. It goes in the AGP slot, however it's been with the computer since the beginning, when 300mhz cpu was state of the art. Otherwise it would be a good card, as it handles all of mame's weird resolutions with no trouble at all.
  2. Oops sorry I thought this thread was dead. My games machine is my usual win95, however it got an upgrade yesterday. The bus speed went from 66 to 100 mhz, which changes the processor speed from 333 to 500 mhz. The old slow 192mb of ram was replaced with a single 256mb 133mhz stick. The video card is the same Trident card with I think 4mb on it. Due to a resultant NTKERN error, I removed the USB support that never worked anyway. In mame, neogeo games increased from 3-4fps to 15-20fps, which makes them quite playable now. Zinc only had a slight difference, running at 3fps instead of 1fps. Still, if I wait long enough, Rival Schools attract mode has a very very nice 3d picture. It's just slow. If a P4 isn't enough, then there is no point persuing the matter further. It will have to wait until I can get a modern computer - and I'm in no rush at this time.
  3. without the use of a time machine, we cannot answer your question
  4. but you get exp. In your case you will go to the next level.
  5. Are they pop-unders? There was a thread about this vulnerability somewhere. *edit - here: http://www.1emulation.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12029 if the popups just turn up out of nowhere, and you're not even running your browser, it's either messenger spam, or you've still got some adware in your computer.
  6. DSemu does have .zip support *edit* and I hate the way the space before the period disappears
  7. It would probably be a good idea to go to the DSEmu forum area here, and you'll see there is a long way to go before it plays any games yet. If you want to assist in testing, post your results and technical suggestions there. *edit* someone's moved it - good.
  8. I read a m$ one once, never again. Basically they own you.
  9. Fill1.bin has a problem. It loads up, then it pauses itself. Pressing F4 changes it to Run for a microsecond and it goes back to pause. 10. Here is a rather lengthy dialog between a mamedev and mr foley (from Aaron's site)
  11. In case you don't know, there are companies out there that provide a rating service, usually for big companies. Instead of the company's webmaster having to decide what sites to ban, they simply buy a list from a rating service, and it gets updated automatically, once a month. My first ever forum (a rom site) allows swearing, and has no filter. And..the rating service placed it in an "Adult" category, causing it to be blocked at my workplace.... and probably many others world-wide. 1emu is permitted... at the moment. Would you like it to suddenly get blocked? Would you find that inconvenient? I think so.
  12. Welcome all new people to this wonderful place. I only have one rule: You must click on the "Attack User" link on the left of the screen. (under the green stripe) .
  13. OK the switch to GDI works: [20050222.06:33:55] FAIL: OpenGL: Texture image creation. [20050222.06:33:55] GPU: Using GDI. Armwrestler gave some bad results: ARM LDM/STM does nothing THUMB ALU gives BAD CNVZ Rd for ADD,ASR,LSL,LSR,ROR THUMB LDM/STM gives no results As Federelli said, closing a rom causes a crash Dragging a file onto the exe works now. Double-clicking on a gba rom still has the path error. [20050222.06:41:29] ARM7: ROM file: C:\Download\nds\dsemu-0.0.1e\C:\Download\nds\dsemu-0.0.1e\lgtron.gba If you are putting the exe path at the beginning, don't: just take what windows gives you.
  14. If I drag a file onto the exe, it gives the usual error, unable to initialise see log.txt, but no log.txt is created.
  15. I just downloaded the latest version, and unfortunately nothing works. 16. yeah I saw that on mame.net it's a sad day but so typical of American businessmen.
  17. I tried two of those sites mentioned in the article, and no popups with IE, strange? The article had a link to another page with a program to modify the hosts file to stop ads. Now that is great, got rid of those pesky google ads, and pages load up a lot faster now. yay!
  18. Most of that stuff was already selected. It takes 30 minutes before the demo runs. Never mind, I'll add this one to the growing list of failures. Thanks for your help.
  19. I had a play with the cfg files, and now the other computer (the one with win95 + trident card) has good graphics. But it's sooooooo slow, much slower than mame. Any way to speed it up, as I understand that Zinc should be faster than Mame.
  20. This pc has Intel 810 Graphics Hub (its onboard). mame works ok. The other pc has a Trident 3D Image 9750 everything else has good graphics
  21. I decided to run it via the network on this pc which has win2kpro, direct-x 9.0c, and opengl. Zinc ran horribly slow, and the graphics were even worse! Here is a sample:
  22. Mame sets - yes Direct-x 8.0 is in the machine Open GL - how do I check this? How do I take a screenshot?
  23. I'm trying to get Zinc running. The graphics are totally corrupted on every game, but the FPS counter is fine. Any ideas? Next, I used ZincGui, and it says all the roms are missing, but if I start the game it runs - just bad graphics (as above).
