  1. All the anime on those site are subs.
  2. All you really need to know is: anime.mircx.com Others great ones: Downloadanime.org a.scarywater.net All are Bittorrent sites.
  3. Overall, the PS2 controller works best... it works fairly well with any genre. This is due in large part to the four shoulder buttons. If they would make it slightly bigger and make R2 and L2 analog triggers it would be even better. I would put the XBOX-S second. The GC and DC are the worst on that list. But I think you should be voting for the best controller today. The SNES was great for it's time and many controllers have followed it's design since, but it would suck today. No analog sticks and too few buttons would make it worthless for most of today's games.
  4. The DC controller is, IMO, one of the worst ever: 1. No dual analog (only system of this generation without it) 2. Too few buttons (7). Compared to PS2 with 12, XBOX with 12, and GC with 8. 3. No built in rumble (only standard controller this gen without) 4. You guys talk about the size, but I found the side grips to be too thin and uncomfortable, plus my knuckles would sometimes rub the large bump on the bottom of the controller. 5. The cord coming out the side of the controller that faces the player is the worst idea in the history of controllers. That alone makes it one of the worst controllers. 6. The D-Pad is OK, but too squared for my tastes. I like ones that don't make my thumb sore after extended use (i.e. fighters). At least it's better than that ridiculously small D-pad on the GC controller 7. I was hoping that after the the later Genesis controllers and the Saturn controller that they would stick with six face buttons. But, alas, they went back to four. That was a mistake. I can't fault them too much for it since the PS2 and GC only have four, but at least they have more buttons to work with overall. The only thing I really did like about the controller were the triggers. They were nice and smooth.
  5. Interesting. I was thinking "XBOX" and it guessed "Nintendo" after 29 questions. It doesn't have XBOX in it's knowledgebase.
  6. FBAx seems to run slightly slower to me. For example, the title screen on Metal Slug X where the letters are flying on to the screen... seemed slow to me. Also, can you configure the controls for each type of game? In KawaX you can have different controls for CPS1, CPS2, and NeoGeo games. As far as I can tell this isn't possible in FBAx, but I haven't really explored it fully. Anyway, I'm still using KawaX for most games. It does all 3 now.
  7. Does this game not have music, or is it just not working yet?
  8. Thx for the link... but on that site the links for 7001 and 7502 are both actually 7001.
  9. I'm think Suprnova.com is just a rip-off site just trying to capitalize on suprnova's popularity. People accidently type.com instead of.org and end up there... I've done this myself.
  10. No idea. I use the 1001 too. Maybe I'll see if I can find that BIOS and try it out.
  11. The eeprom is just a chip on the XBOX that contains information about your XBOX. Stuff like your region, video output, and it also contains your XBOX's unique online key. This is what gets banned. Normally you would us a program called ConfigMagic. It can read, back-up, and restore your eeprom. But I'm not sure how you would do it on an unmodded XBOX. I think the chip may actually be removable, but that would mean that you would need to open your friend's XBOX and swap eeproms. So it may still just be easier to buy a new eeprom image unless you know someone with a modded XBOX that doesn't use Live. The person I saw selling them was selling them $9 USD. Seems like a more than reasonable price to me and would save you a lot of trouble. One note, how new is your XBOX? I don't think that version 1.5 XBOXs (and maybe even 1.4s) are compatible with ConfigMagic.
  12. Yeah, just flashing the BIOS shouldn't have mattered. But here is a question, do you have any Live Aware games? These are games, like Project Gotham 2, that automatically try to connect to Live when you start them up (this function can be disabled). PG2 does it so that it can show the leader boards even when playing in single player. Also, it's generally a just a bad idea to access the MS dashboard at all with your modchip on if you have a Live account. The latest X2 BIOS' have a feature that tricks the XBOX into thinking there is no network connection available so that there is no way to accidently access Live while using your modchip. But the M7 does not have this feature. So maybe you were doing something that was causing your XBOX to try and access Live, but the X2 BIOS (if you were using 4981) was protecting you and preventing this from happening. But when you switched to the M7 it couldn't stop the XBOX from trying to connect and now you are banned. Maybe this scenario is what happened. BTW, there are people who sell unbanned eeproms over at the XBox-Scene forums. If you are banned, you could buy one of these and use ConfigMagic to insert the information into your eeprom and then you should be able to access Live again.
  13. Could you get onto Live with a modchip before, or is this a brand new modchip and the first time you've tried to log on since putting it in? Are you getting any sort of error messages? I think TSOP is the chip where the normal XBOX BIOS is stored. There are ways to flash that chip.
  14. I'm not sure that would explain why it only affects certain games.
  15. Are you trying to run these games off of your hard drive? I know that the new 007 game (Everything or Nothing) won't run off the HDD without being patched. I have the proper default.xbe and driving.xbe you need to run 007 from a hard drive if you want me to send them to you.
  16. The XBOX is 192.168.0.1 You have a 3 where the 2 should be. Also, just in case that is a typo in your post, did you put the name and password into your FTP program? The default Evox name and password are both "xbox". What FTP program are you using? Some people have had better success with some programs over others. FlashFXP generally works great with the XBOX.
  17. Since we have established how old everyone is and what they do for a living, I thought I would ask the next obvious question: Where do you live? Fayetteville, Arkansas USA
  18. Sorry about the delayed answer, forgot to check back with this thread. I work at the corporate lab for a large food producer. My position is officially supposed to be mostly field work. Most of our production facilites have small on-site labs for basic aerobic plate count, E. coli, Staphylococcus, and yeast/mold testing. They cut and ship samples to the corporate lab for pathogen and pesticide residue testing. I travel to these labs and audit the protocols (i.e. make sure they doing everything correctly). I am also responsible for traveling to any facility that begins to have problems with elevated microbial counts or positive pathogen results to help them stop the problem... this usally involves trying to locate any harborage where the bacteria are likely living. BUT I have done much less of this in the last year due to a large volume of research projects happening at the corporate lab. Right now I am mostly helping conduct the projects. Most of the projects relate to new anti-microbial treatments that can be used in production facilites.
  19. If you are using the most recent version of the emulator you need to hit "X" at the game selection screen to bring up the game configuration... this is where you can choose to run in BIOS or HLE mode.
  20. Your BIOS is fairly old. I would suggest flashing your chip with 4981.06. It's worth a shot. 4981 is a very good BIOS, so it won't hurt anything to see if it fixes your problem.
  21. Any of these links updated with the latest compile yet?
  22. Actually, the kernel will work. I just reflashed my BIOS with a new one that had the eeprom embedded and I didn't put my MD5 hash in the ini so the BIOS version said "unknown", but the kernel version said 4980.06 (the 4981 bios still says it's 4980 due to the fact that the Xecuter guys forgot to change the internal designation). So that's why I told him to look at the kernel and not the BIOS version.
