  1. I would use xbmc as a dash, but the auto time thing is the only reason i dont use it. Unlike other dashes which auto set the time if its invalid, xbmc doesnt do this, which wreaks havoc on some neo geo roms. unles im missing something with xbmc. i will be glad to switch back.
  2. Yea, i finally went and picked this up. It is indeed a blast. I just got an x800 xt PE so everything is running nice and good on the machine. I still havent gotten very far, but it is a pretty challenging game.
  3. ive already told you it exists. it is an import however.
  4. Oh this game. Old game. basically its a strategy game which uses different scenarios to play the game, similar to romance of the three kingdoms where you are given different scenarios tow ork with. anyway one of the scenarios is the united states and iraq actually joined forces, and you take the role of the japanese forces to stop them. There are all sorts of weird scenarios, but as you can see by the cover, that one is by far the weirdest. its actually a pretty good game though.
  5. I use whatever is a good deal at the time. I have built athlon machines and p4 machines. both are good processors.
  6. xp has no real improvements over 2k, sans themes.
  7. any reason to pick up this instead of the ps2/xbox versions. if not i think ill pass. BTW it is also on the newsgroups. a.b.cd.image.anime
  8. really? i consider this to be treasures finest work ever. just curious, how far did you get in the game, because stage 1 is a bit on the bland side, its when stage 2 hits that the game really begins to shine.
  9. I have to be the only person here who doesnt use newsbin pro or xnews. Pan for me all the way. newsbin pro i could never get to work correctly. and xnews.. geez memoryu hog
  10. you can make that formation with type one, and 3 as well.
  11. Not trying to sound like a weird fanboy here, but as good as r-type final is, it cannot come close to gradius v. I am not going to compare graphics, because even though they are 3d, each has their own special look to them. although i do prefer gv's over rtf. Level design and boses is where gv truly shines. Each boss is so unique and takes some real thought to get through. When you fight a boss scaling down the wall, crashing blocks at you all the while dodging both the blocks and the enemy's fire, you will see.
  12. They finally beat silvergun. This game owns so much its not even funny. They even brought back one of the life force bosses complete with some nice remixed music from the game. Graphics are amazing, watching the lasers move with type 2 options are almost hypnotic. The stage 3 boss is also a throwback to silvergun, dodging a huge laser behind blocks, hen poking out to attack. its classic. and very freakin hard.
  13. i can only imagine another round of waiting games...
  14. assuming you have x configured correctly, all you have to do is once you login, type "startx" whichever interface you have chosen as your default you will go to that one. if you are using slackware, ti is problably kde as your default. Never used debian so im not sure which window managers you have installed.
  15. Power instinct would be it. ALthough it is not matrimelee. Ume lost her kiss attack in matrimelee.
  16. To make a long story short without too much spoilers. In the year 2035 robots are mass produced and nearly everywhere. people have grown accustomed to having them around. Robots were programmed with 3 laws. 1. a robot cannot harm a human 2. a robot cannot let any harm to come to a human 3. a robot must preserve itself, as long as it doesnot conflict with rule 1 or 2 theres more to it, but thats the basics of it. detective spooner (will smith) does not like robots at all. when a death appears at the robotcs facility, and looks like a robot did it, he goes to investigate. And lots happen.
  17. Ah finally the series is catching on. now people can finally see possibly the best 2d fighter ever.
  18. Nothing will touch the greatness of fullmetal alchemist
  19. works pretty damn good for me. especially for an alpha. the layer issue is the only real problem I have. Havent gotten that thing to work one bit for me. my comp is far from junk and i am far from an idiot. Instructions were followed, things were done. and yet nothing will boot.
  20. Why on earth would you want to use daemon tools anyway for psone isos? just about EVERY worthwhile ps2 emulator supports isos directly, no need for daemon tools.
  21. In my opinion, its a waste of time. It barely works on the pc. Why bother porting it to xbox. Fix existing problems first.
  22. You mean actually getting it to work first?
  23. Daioujou and ESP Galuda crush anything else out there that ps2 has. although im growing quite fond of fatal frame 2.
