  1. I believe Melty Blood was released in 2002, but I agree, it's a really good game. Ah pardon my ignorance. Melty Blood was released right at the end of 2002. literally. December 30th 2002. In that case, then i would have to give best game of 2003 to dodonpachi daioujou.
  2. Melty Blood - Noble Mind Melty Blood Re.ACT - Cathedral 3rd Strike - Makoto and Chun Li's stages best fighting game music.
  3. None of the above. Melty Blood. Best game fo 2003.
  4. Igniz - KOF2001 his super outright KILLS you.
  5. I look at it in the same vein as mame. The source is there, you can add support for whatever you want, but dont go around (at least publically) distributing it I imagine the same idea was instilled into fbax. so recompile it all you want, just dont advertise it.
  6. I do believe the whole thing is a bit hypocritical, but i have tried to somewhat honor the authors wishes. i will use a emu that plays all games, but i wont go announcing it right in their faces. its a little bit about respect.
  7. The readme file has the crc's of the files that need to be in the archive. i followed that.
  8. The zip should be called kof2003f.zip It will show up as "King Of Fighters 2003 (fixed)"
  9. King Of fighters 2003 does not work with Kawa-Hez yet. However it does now work with Final Burn Alpha X. There is a thread in Next Gen emulation that details it.
  10. That i do agree with. Most old school games were all about the high scores. Which is the reason i still play shooting games (especially dodonpachi daioujou) Graphics are nice, but good gameplay takes precedence. Take sengoku Musou. That is possibly one of the best looking ps2 games out right now, but its just damn fun to play. Thats what make a fun game. But just because i like it doesnt mean im a graphics whore.
  11. Most of the responses on this thread speak as if it was the arcade owners or the game companies fault. It isnt. It is the general american gaming public who is to blame for the crappy state of arcade gaming and gaming in general. We always go "ooo japan has this, that and the other, we want it too" so companies bring it over. then what happens, it sells like absolute crap. So what do they do? why waste their time on a market who doesnt appreciate anything given to us? they water their products down for the american audience. So if it flops, oh well they didnt waste much money on it anyway. same can be said for console games. tons of games dont get released over here because if they do it sells horribly. Everyone cried foul when ggx wasnt released in america. well they listen and decide to give us the ps2 version AND the sequel. what happens? sells like crap.
  12. You can just place it in the zip file. no need to rename anything N30ghost, im using the s1 rom that is in the readme file. dont have it in front of me so i dont know the crc offhand. Hmm, well now that people know what to do with it, a build with all games support can be done. Then again loading two emulators to play the different games doesnt phase me, but having an all in one wouldnt hurt.
  13. Yea i had read that also, i just tested unibios (japan/arcade) and it seems to run fine although the Title Screen seemed odd, might be just me though. EDIT** i notice that if you go to the FAR-RIGHT of the screen during a game, theres like blank space........kinda odd but that didnt have to do with it being Unibios.......might be the S rom im using...i dunno. anyone else notice that? move your character to the FAR-RIght of the screen.......... I tried it, and nothing strange for me. im using the standard s1 rom.
  14. On other forums, some people said using a unibios causes come graphics problems. if youre using unibios, change to a normal one.
  15. Wow. Out of nowhere, a compile has sprung up. Nice work Dark
  16. heh its kind of funny, my little brother is only 10m years old and has been playing games since he was 1 (hed grab the controller an "play") a natural. kinda funny that my 10 year old has more experience than a lot of "old school" people.
  17. It stays there forever, but if your a good, stable user for the next year, we might just remove it. Usually we just keep it there just to have logs of your actions. We can bend the rules if you ever get a 2nd warn after a substantial amount of time. Fair enough. Fell free to kill/lock this topic. if i have anything else to ask, ill pm someone.
  18. So how long does it last anyway. i didnt even know i was that off topic, but its fine.
  19. It is our own fault. Arcade ops are too scared to bring anything worthwhile over and would rather bring in a new takkne game then say iidx or something. they would rather bring in the newest ticket game then a nice neo geo machine and the fact that arcade sticks DOinfact suck. GOD, i wish i had my own arcade.
  20. Which is why you play dynasty warriors. or sengoku musou. geez that game is good.
  21. I don't think i was misbehaving, so im windering, what is warning level and how did i end up with it? just wondering. if i did something wrong, let me know and it wont happen again.
  22. I wonder if the french fba was based on this driver? I still cant get 2003 to show up on the games list...
