What gamer is in the mindset to know what keys he/she is pushing, like you would when using notepad? NONE! I don't know if my finger is on W or E when I'm playing, you can't tell the keys apart. And yes, I'm extremely picky with my keyboards. I need a standard 101/104 that has no gap between the arrow and function keys above them. If theres a gap, I can't play properly as I'm reaching for those keys. I use Del + Page Down for leaning left and right in games...if I have to strain to reach those keys, f**k that. And the keypad is a MUST, I bind all my taunts and stuff to it! I so need to get into making my own peripherals for gamers, I'd make some cool sh!t. Multimedia keyboards are ass for gaming, especially those "ergonomic" curved ones......nobody's hands sit like that!

I'm wierd in that respect. I have a very "standard" setup for FPS games with my keyboard. I don't use the WASD crap, I use the arrow keys, along with Del+End+Down for special controls. Shift for jump, Ctrl for reload.....all keys over that area of the board. As for inversion of aiming, there are some games I just can't play with it on, and some I have to play with it on. I still don't know why, but I'm naturally inclined to play inverted on tactical shooters, but normal on fast paced stuff like UT/Quake games.

I was being nice.....I think both games suck. Everyone's allowed their own opinion. Oh, as for the scariest moment in a video game. I put my finger on 2 points in RTCW. 1 being when you're walking down a hall in some lab and a body gets thrown at a window directly on your left as soon as you round the corner. I nearly shat myself. The second being points in the underground tomb areas, those sneaky bastards.....

I still see 1-1 everywhere for score listings. That signifies a tie. How can you tie in an elimination round?

What kind of crack-assed rules allow for a team to win with a tie in an elimination round? How do points mean anything once you're out of the round robin? What ever happened to overtime (extra/injury time if you want to be a picky soccer freak) until someone scores? Stupid system for what is the "playoffs"

Shouldn't be too hard (Loosely speaking) to port one, theres NeoPocott SDL. As long as theres SDL libraries ported for GBA already, it wouldn't be too much work I don't think. Or wait, theres DS Linux right? Why not try a Linux port of NeoPocott?

No, the driver update most likely fixed it. Via, formerly Cyrix..is terrible at making compatible chipsets. There hasn't been a chipset made by them to date that hasn't caused serious compatibility issues with audio and/or video hardware in certain configurations. The good thing I can say about them, is they usually address the problem...or try.

I've seen enough replays. If it were hockey, the Italians would have racked up a minimum of 1 "Diving" penalty per game so far.

Sure, and it's up to date. A fresh install, and you're hammered from the second you connect to the internet unless you run from behind a proxy. 2 years ago, the pieces of source for portions of Win2k weren't leaked.......

Windows 2000 huh? Hope you don't connect that thing to the internet. Since those leaked pieces of source hit the net, new Win2k installations have been a pain in the butt. I couldn't get a streamlined SP4 up and running without being overrun with spyware, malware and trojans, even with NAV and AdAware installed and updated via a proxy. Running through a proxy to get Windows Updates proved damn near impossible for some reason. Finally gave up and installed XP on this 600 I have, and stripped it to the bones as best I could. Now I scrapped XP for Linux.

Nobody ever said Compaq was smart........they make garbage computers with their own screwed up custom hardware in it, that usually can't be replaced with off the shelf stuff without causing some sort of incompatibility with another cheap POS component in the PC. I have a strong dislike for Compaq, can you tell? Anyway, there are drives designed for special mounting requirements. The average drive, if you look in the manual (or even read a manufacturers website support area) are not intended for vertical mounting.

For future reference, it's not healthy for mechanical drives to be on their sides when running. It CAN damage the platters. Optical drives are not an issue with damaging anything other than the discs themselves, but enter the 360......

Just leave her be, theres no point. I can't stand fighting games, but I don't write off the entire genre because of the fact I think most of it sucks. Theres a few select fighting games I like, especially older ones before all the "Been there, done that" clones started popping up and KOF started to become a cash cow. I give new games a shot, or at least check out videos before I say "that sucks". You play what you like, and f**k everyone else and their opinion.
