  1. I'm pricing out parts for a new system so I can figure out what I'm going to need to tell the wife to scream at me about lol I already know a few things I'm doing outright, so don't try and tell me otherwise. I don't want to hear ANYTHING about going SLI/NvIdia, I mean it. I'm going with these parts: Motherboard - Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe CPU - AMD Athlon 64 3500+ (Venice core) Video - Dual ATi Radeon x1600's What I don't know about: RAM - DDR is confusing PC used to = , now I don't understand the sh!t. I'm knowing I need Dual Channel 400Mhz DDR, but wtf do I look for? Whats all this PC2100, PC3200 bullsh!t? Right now I run PC800 RDRAM, plain and fuxing simple. 400mhz dual channel = 800 effective. I don't understand the confusing crap with DDR. Video (Crossfire) - Can I run only 1 x1600 card until I buy another? Information regarding crossfire, and the motherboards I've looked at don't tell me this. Beyond that, I can pretty much use my exisiting hardware until I can afford to upgrade whats left, save for needing a more powerful PSU (400w ain't gonna cut it for that much hardware, now is it?)
  2. Forums are offline for maintenance atm, but check there again, Atomizer released a newer version of his pixelshaders. Things look much cleaner. He also posted his INI which is useful if you can't get things to work right outside. Theres also a hacked EXE that fixes some bugs with crashing, namely TAB with Diffuse enabled, so lighting actually appears somewhat properly now. I also discovered that with all the shaders enabled, you can cure the uber dark dungeons by opening the console and typing "ts" to turn the sky ON/OFF. With it ON outside, and OFF Inside, shaders/lighting are ok.
  3. Team Xecuter is currently working on a hardware solution for end users to flash their firmware in a simple manner. Don't be surprised if they come up with something that is infact simple, and good for the average Joe.
  4. bUseWaterShader=1 Change to bUseWaterShader=0 No more crash when entering the sewers. Turn bDoImageSpaceEffects=0 back to 1 and see if everything goes back to normal. It's not shader dependant and your card should be capable of it. You may also be able to enable some of the PASS options for a cleaner look. I know I can't on my 8500, everything goes black. I wish you better luck than I've had, exiting the sewers is a big NO for me, no matter what settings I change in the INI. Looks like I'm presented with the true reality of upgrading, too bad my bank account disagrees.
  5. Beats not being able to play it huh?
  6. Hehe, for starters I was editing the default INI in the Obvlivion directory (Ooops, edit one in My Documents > My Games > Oblivion) I got it working though, yes! Now, instead of linking you to the 2 messy ass threads that I read through to get things working, I'll briefly explain and provide links here, you can ask for more help later if need be (But keep in mind I'm still playing with my setup) First off you need this. Just unpack it somewhere and run it, hit ok and it'll run in the background (I believe it's a pixel shader modifier that live injects modifications, w/e it gets the job done) Then open up your INI and find this: bDoSpecularPass=1 bDoDiffusePass=1 bDoAmbientPass=1 Change to bDoSpecularPass=0 bDoDiffusePass=0 bDoAmbientPass=0 ----------------------- You can also change bUseRefractionShader=1 to bUseRefractionShader=0 if you like, see what works best for you. --------------------------------- If TatniumD3D complains Then download this and put the DLL in Oblivions directory (Where Oblivion.exe is) Have fun, and play around with your INI to achieve the best settings for you. I know I will be.
  7. Well, it looks like I'm possibly stuck with not being able to play this game unless I at least upgrade my graphics card. Runs fine with no complaints, and very smoothly even. Only prolem is, textures aren't drawn, so everything is white. To the point where I can't see much, certainly not enough to play. I'm going to play around with the INI some and see what I can pull off, I've got it forcing 1x pixel shaders, but that isn't helping anything. Any assistance regarding texture settings in the INI would be appreciated, if it weren't for my graphics card this game would be running pretty well on here, albeit without mucho eye candy settings.
  8. Niche market, known as the Turbografx 16 here. I had one, can't say I consider anything on it classic besides Bonk, and even that was so so. Good system, not great support.....only flew even half assed in the EU.
  9. Theres nothing wrong with taking any freq range below 0db. My band runs in a tight "U" pattern across the spectrum, with half the band being between 0db -5db. Depending on your music preference, you may need this. 0 on the spectrum is simply level input>output. Doesn't mean the input is the way it should sound, thats the purpose of an equalizer!
  10. Whassup PONG! Wait........I'm not that old. Can't really say, the 8 and 16 bit days offered far more memorable gamign experiences than anything these days could provide. Sure theres excellent games that you won't forget from recent generations, but theres far more from the past that causes you to be unable to recite a list.......as that list would be far too long. I'll go by era and somewhat platform. Arcade - Afterburner all the way, I refuse to spend my money in any arcade that doesn't have a hydraulic cockpit Afterburner. NES - Metroid and Super Mario Bros. Played them both to death, to the point where I really can't stand playing them anymore, but they are still my favourite games. SMS - I didn't own one, friends did and all I remember playing was Golden Axe and Rampage. SNES - Super Metroid F-O-R-E-V-E-R Genesis - The only game I will keep going back to (I found games that were on SNES as well to be much better on SNES) is Sonic 2, and for good reason. It's the best Sonic game bar none. Theres more, I had a Colecovision and frogger was played over and over on it. Space Invaders on my Atari 800XL.......I'm surprised I didn't have to replace the cart a few times from overusage or something. P.S. I didn't start out playing games on consoles. I didn't have my own console till 3 years after the NES came out and I got one. I grew up with Atari computers from age 3 when i got my first one, I played my games on it. Hell I didn't own a PC till Pentium class CPUs came out, I was still using myy Atari STE 1040 and my Falcon.
  11. The 2 fake lesbians from Tatu............roflmaomgwtfbbq! Hardly "hot" material there, the brunette is kinda cute, the other is rather on the ugly side. To each his own I guess. As for Angelina Jolie, I'd hit it!
  12. You bumped a 2 year old thread for THIS!? I should beat you to death with a wet noodle. No, theres no updated emulators for Dreamcast. Chankast has recieved updates since 1.0 (This thread was from the initial release!). Use the DC forum next time, hell theres plenty to read to indicate the best, most current emulator available in it.
  13. I think it will connect them via the internet, which will be slower. Only if your machines each have a public address, and you use that public address. Private addresses will keep the traffic inside your network......and off the internet. If you use a router, the public side of things doesn't apply........ever.
  14. Minimum System Requirements: * Windows XP * 512MB System RAM * 2 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor * 128MB Direct3D compatible video card and DirectX 9.0 compatible driver; * 8x DVD-ROM drive * 4.6 GB free hard disk space * DirectX 9.0c (included) * DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card * Keyboard, Mouse Hmmmmm given that my PC doesn't meet specs for Doom 3 and I can run it at 800x600 medium details all-round and get a steady framerate throughout the entire game, I wonder if I could pull off running this. I so want to play it. My System: * Windows XP SP2 * 512MB System RAM (PC800 RDRAM) * 1.4 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 (OC 1.5) * 64MB Direct3D compatible video card (Radeon 8500) * 16x DVD-R/RW/RAM drive * 4.6 GB free hard disk space (More than enough space!) * DirectX 9.0c (included) * DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card * Keyboard, Mouse Looks like my only limitations are CPU speed and video card, which thus far haven't really been "limitations". I guess the only question left is, will the game run with a card that isn't a DX9 card (Pixel shaders checked etc, and game won't even start or what?)
  15. I'd pay some seriously retarded funds to see Alba naked in the real. I would I would.
  16. pshaw, the only real BIG important thing you missed is right here in these forums. DSWifi! (Hell I don't even own a DS and I am aware of this importance) Other than that........same ol' same ol'. Gaming wise, nothing special really. Criterion just released Black, which by all intents and purposes is one cool "Blow sh!t up shooter", but don't play it if you want some story or tactics. If you own an Xbox, X-Port is back in action and updating his emulators.........good news big time. Err I can't really think of anything else that isn't generic filler material, pretty sad state emulation and gaming is in IMO.
  17. http://www.revolutionreport.com/articles/read/352 Oh so sexy Revo is.
  18. I still don't see anything regarding even an approximate price tag. I'm still standing on it being retardedly expensive for a console due to the overzealous "multimedia center" frenzy the console market is heading in, which WILL, kill the market at some point. The PS3 will flush your toilet for you........wait, you're playing ON your toilet? nm
  19. Why not June? Final dev kits were sent out like a month or two ago, Nintendo is very certain of their hardware components (They've already unveiled the controller) and they're now demo'ing it in playable form and possibly giving it it's retail name at the same time. I say June is possible, but mostly unlikely because nobody launches at the very end of a quarter. I say July, maybe August.
  20. Same as it was a month ago! See: http://www.1emulation.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=17139
  21. It's just too bad they made him look like a fat headed furry. 10/10 on graphics = Not Looks neat otherwise.
  22. Two 250s or 300s on their site is a better deal. $105 for a WD 250GB, $120 for 300GB. As for shipping to Canada, if you read their shipping info, they only process non US orders for $1000 or more and you must prepay by wire transfer.
  23. What makes you think that? I'll NEVER use Xbox Live because it's like paying for Gamespy.........a huge ripoff. Only about 10% of Xbox owners use Live btw. Microsoft has projected an expectation that 50% of 360 owners in the next year will use Live, and thats a bright (albeit very cocky) outlook. Not as many gamers give a rats @$$ for online capabilities in their console as you may think. Myself included thinks a console is meant for couch gaming, if I want multiplayer online I'll go where it doesn't suck and is easier done.......my PC. FYI if you don't think I'm correct on the figures, google it. Microsoft execs have confirmed these figures in interviews.
  24. Staged: 100% retard and he needs help Not staged: 90% retard 10% psycho in the making and he needs more help Either way, this kids a TOOL!
  25. Linux is Linux at the core foo. If you can't figure it out from any of those pages, it won't make a difference what distro you're running.
