  1. On the other hand, I've never taken a liking to the Sims, but if it is a life simulator, might as well have everything eh? Still I just can't get into the game, so who cares.
  2. This doesn't sound good for me. Means a PS3 won't be in my hands for ages...
  3. Them deciding not to include WinFS right away just made the new release seem like a lot less of a big deal. Although all the new interface stuff would be funnish to use.
  4. No, just that if its on the 360 it will be incapable of being in possession for a long time. So excitement would be misappropriated.
  5. PC fools. What if it's a good game?
  6. 3-4 times sounds good. Sometimes once a day, but cbf.
  7. 1. Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper 2. Mortal Kombat II 3. Dead or Alive 2 Hardcore 4. Capcom Vs. SNK 2 5. Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact
  8. Isn't a remake like a sequel in the sense that it's an idea that's already proven itself as successful, and thus less of a risk for the studio? Originality out the window does blow but :/
  9. This is bs. That kid is a flockn loser, and yeh I feel sorry for the step dad too. Hope Microsoft is lenient this time..
  10. Yeh my beef with the GC controller is that it doesnt have enough identical buttons for games that require 'even' buttons for functions (eg. punches and kicks). At least it doesn't assume users have 3 hands... (N64 lol)
  11. Revolution is Nintendo's last hope in the sense that if they don't pick up their game significantly this time, they're going down. But only so far as Sega did, and they're still around. Overall you have to agree that the Revolution NEEDS to be something special. And a proper GameBoy successor wouldn't be a bad move at this point either. The mentioned portable GC-esque suggestion would certainly fit that bill though.
  12. Just to clarify, the book by HG Wells was first, 1899... Orson Welles' thing was later, and it was not spontaneous- it was scripted. Also it was not revealed the next day as a hoax- he announced that it was a radio play at the very beginning, and then again later.
  13. Same as the novel. So personally, allegories aside, the story didn't keep me all that rivetted. Effects are good, the scene at the dock is brilliant. But besides that directing isn't anything wonderful, as mentioned the ending comes too quickly and pretty much sucks, and the children both make you want to kill them. Keep those in mind. It's a good movie, but should have been better.
  14. Oath they should ask... I'm sure there's got to be some regulation about that. They only time I lost everything was back in 2000 and I didn't have a CD burner, so never backed up stuff. Hard drive gave up.. I was extremely depressed. Took me some months to get a new one simply because everything was gone and I couldn't be bothered with the computer for ages. Sorry to hear about it.
  15. I know the video card market has been going like this for years now, but this is just plain pi$sing me off now. nVidia Page Review First off everytime I want to upgrade and scrounge around money, a new card is released and I put off upgrading. I'm making do with a dodgey 5200 atm, and after reading this, I just think upgrading is now a waste of money moreso that it has ever been before, and probably won't end up upgrading at all. Also, just when I was getting excited about how nice PS3 graphics will be, it's likely that this 7800 was the card used to show off those nice graphics in the first place- Gamespot thing about E3 PS2 And this is a year before launch. Ergh. This has all just really disillusioned me. Again- I know this has all happened before, but this time it annoyed me and so I needed to rant. Bottom line is I can't afford to upgrade for a while, and won't get a PS3 for ages after it launches, and so by that time I'm going to be so jaded with the whole graphics thing that I'll probably be put off games altogether. ARGHH.
  16. Pretty nasty. And oh if you all wanted a picture here is the report from the Malaysian newspaper- http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=...2103&sec=nation
  17. Yeh that's very unfortunate. DCs are hard to come by.. and I've looked for one until the time Chankast came out. It's just a pain that Chankast is the only way for me to play this... I'v had bad experiences chipping ps2s around here too.
  18. It's the only one I've been bothered to actually post at. Don't know why that is. The friendly thing I guess. Plus I learnt the 101 or emulation by reading stuff here so I got pretty attached.
  19. All of a Shinkuu Hadouken if I'm all psyched and everything lol. Can't do it on the spot.
  20. My sentiments exactly. Hacks piss me right off. Watrya gonna do hey? Put Ash in a hack ffs... its 2005... It's not even as though this game uses 2002 or 98... it uses 97?? Wtf? It's 2005- hack kof2003 someone. Then I might change my mind.
  21. Nice review. That makes me want to go out and buy it... BUT It's not coming out in PAL territories . Hyper SF2 is ok... but there's no way for me to get a PAL PS2 version of Third Strike... That sort of neglect really upsets me...
  22. King of Gladiator... makes me wonder if any thought is put into things at all these days. It reminds me of the names of the moves of half of the SNK characters, and how nonsensical they are.
  23. I wouldn't expect a lot from this movie, but I'm surprised to hear these good reviews. I'll have to give it a go now.
  24. I'm 18. When I was 7 I played Sonic 3 and Knuckles for an innumerable number of hours. When I was 9 I played Mortal Kombat 2 for ages and ages and ages. When I was 11 I caught every Pokemon there was, including getting a Gameshark solely to get Mew. When I was 12 I played FFVIII for more than 100 hours, killing the Omega Weapon, and maxing all the characters. When I was 15 I played SFA3 for yonks, and got a whole lot of Lv32 characters. When I was 16 I played MGS2 and got the Stealth. When I was 17 I couldn't be bothered finishing SC2 or MKD with even half the characters. Today I can't even play Warcraft, MGS3 or anything without almost dying of boredom. I get more fun from getting SVC to work on my FBA than actually ever playing it. I go to forums, read reviews sometimes, but never play anything. In fact, I havn't bought a new game in at least year except MGS3, and I don't think that will change in the near future. I strongly think that by the time I am 20 I won't be interested in playing anything at all. This might be a good thing, but then again I'm missing one of my old hobbies and have nothing but uni work to fill the gap. Frankly I think that this happening faster than it has for most of you, for whatever reason, is pretty depressing. It's almost as though I'm finding a gap developing in my life that I can't fill with anything. Maybe they just don't make games like they used to. :/ Still...
  25. Australia... Both of those games are Europe versions... Some of my other games like CFJ have a specific Australia and New Zealand thing written on the back, but those two should be the same as the UK and other PAL versions... It annoys the hell out of me, since I read about those two games having the 60hz thing elsewhere too, and yet mine don't.
