It can, you can learn things from games, something like vocabulary or other stuff.

I guess it can have some positive effects but negative, yea, what they said

Great, I lost my response :/

Short summary of it;

Depends on the person. Muscle reflex, Hand-eye cordinations and such have an effect on people. Mostly in first person shooters.

eh watch meh i could talk broken if i want or just speak proper english

this is a positive side to games it opens the mind whilst one sit back n sheer relaxation playing ones favourite pastime game

it enhances the flexibility of ones thoughts subliminally and has an underlying part to play in the desicion makin process

dont pay attention to my vocabulary.....just know that i am intellectually capable of handling my academic performance...........as i said....flexibility in relation to situations and circumstances in which the individual may find themselves in.

I think games does have an effect on ur achievement.

No studying = bad grades sometimes.

But then again, games can apply to real life and crap like that....Baefawe

In theory, I could do better in school if I stopped playing games and concentrated on schoolwork....but I won't go there because it robs me of my favourite pasttime. :D

yap, you play games instead of studying sooo = [F] antastic grades come out, and if you're luck you'll get some [D] ynamites thats if u played and did HW at the same time. :D

they actually do have negative affects, but when it's psychological on the other hand *looks over at the mentally handicapped and weak minded*

I don't think video games have much of negative effect. They haven't had any negative effect on me atleast. I've been playing games since I was really young and have always been in great academic shape. But video games do take up time that I would rather be using for studying but oh well...that's my fault.

But I have seen people who only play video games really go down the toilet. I mean, they can't hold a conversation unless its about video games or anime. It's quite pathetic really.

Video games CAN have a negative impact but if the person can control their habit, it's usually alright.

And my previous post on this thread was deleted...why? It wasn't inciting anything.

I vote no. like klaw sayed you just have to ballance everything. I've been playing games since the NES cost 200 bucks. and I made it through school, work, girlfriends, and a wife with no problems.

if you're gonna be one of those crazies who ends up dead of dehydration/starvation in front of your game of choice, then yeah i guess games would interfere with your school work :D
