Well downloaded NestopiaX, grabbed Operation Wolf rom.

Launched, changed controller to Zapper, no lightgun config screen.

Same problem as with FBL, very laggy response to the gun motions.

No quick code fix it seems from Nestopia, unlucky.

MameOx worked ok and im sure theres more sources out there.

 

Just remembered Zsnexbox uses lighguns too, not sure if it has a config screen, will grab n test after my tea.

yea you are correct about nestopia, it is something i would like to implement.

 

also +T+ when you get a min could you send me the code for using the dpad to resize the screen. :D

I would guess that the problem you're experiencing isn't lag as such, it's the fact that FBL has no analog control support therefore the reticule is only able to move at a single fixed speed. So a calibration screen probably wouldn't help. As I mentioned before about analog support, without a base to work from I wouldn't have a clue how to go about implementing this as much as I would like to. I'm certainly not going to get anybody's hopes up by pretending I'm able to something that is out of my depth.

the rom sf2m1 doesn't show up on the list of roms. is there a reason why this sf2 hack isn't supported?

 

and what are the sf2bonus roms i see in my .141 rom collection?

I've enabled sf2m1 in FBL1.6. It was marked as a debug driver so that may mean it has problems or does not work but it will be available for you to try in the next build.

I have a request/idea, although it might be some work to implement and there is a workaround with hardware but I thought to mentioned it.

 

If FBL could be controlled via usb keyboard, or allow control mappings to work with keyboard presses as well as gamepads, then any usb arcade sticks that cause keypresses could work with out additional hardware (apart from a cheap xbox to usb female adapter). In my case, it could allow me to use the x-arcade without buying another £30 adapter to convert the keypresses to xbox gamepad presses.

the x-arcade adaptert pops up for £10 now n again... and the jamma timer board...

 

I got an x-arcade for £30 then a week later 3 popped up from arcadeworlduk....

Oh +T+, thanks for the alpha/transparency fix for artwork previews in FBC 1.2.

Could you please add the same for FBL 1.6 please.

noticed some issue with games

 

Global Defense (aka SDI or Strategic Defense ) - normally left controller for satellite, right for sight, but control moves both

 

powerinstinct legends - control drifting problem

 

Samurai Spririt 5 special ( returns to rom selction after a short loading without any message)

 

 

It would be cool if fbl allowed multiple mapping for a function on controller, you could clone a function to have autofire and keep it normal for charge on the other....

No problem. It will be in 1.6.

I think that would be pushing things too far in terms of memory.

Thanks for pointing out the issue with SDI, I'll fix it for 1.6. Samurai Shodown 5 Special works perfectly here, sounds like your ROM is incorrect. Also I have no control issues with Power Instinct Legends; maybe try a different controller or change the deadzone settings.
