Inky Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 So I married an axe murder. I remember this movie being real funny when I first saw it. but it seemed a bit forced and cheesy in todays light. I am gonna watch Evil Dead tonight. I've actually never seen the first one.
Inky Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Serenity. My sister has been on about this for years. and I never gave it a shot. I'm not big on the whole "Space Opera" Genre. (American Dignity, Space Opera Symphony!) She never bothered to mention the whole Western slant. which I dig quite a bit. Now I am watching the original Firefly series on hulu.

If you've never heard of Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog you should check that out too, by Josh Whedon.
Inky Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 yeah I seen Dr horrible when it was first out during the strike. not due to Whedon, but more due to Doogie (I dunno the dudes real name but I like him on How I met your mother)
Krosigrim Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Preadator 2. Serenity. My sister has been on about this for years. and I never gave it a shot. I'm not big on the whole "Space Opera" Genre. (American Dignity, Space Opera Symphony!) She never bothered to mention the whole Western slant. which I dig quite a bit. Now I am watching the original Firefly series on hulu.Ohhhh yea. My favorite episode is "Janes Town" Laugh out loud funny. That show was great. You'll nottice things are different. The show was canned by fox (big suprise) So Whedon made a movie for closures sake. So the relationship between everyone is not as elaborate. And it the movie, they kill my favorite character... What is there... 14 episodes... it's a damn shame. "BROWN COATS"
Inky Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 haha, Jayne's Town was the last episode I watched tuesday night. picking up again for a few episodes tonight. permitting work doesn't get hectic I can watch 3 or 4 episodes a night.
Inky Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I've finished watching all 14 episodes of Firefly and after seeing the series and comparing it to the movie (Serenity) the movie is pretty crappy. as a capper to the unfinished TV show it doesn't do what I would have liked. still to many unanswered questions and cop out deaths. I see no reason why Firefly only got 14 episodes but crap like ER goes on and on forever....
Krosigrim Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Fox is the reason... They flock everything up...
Inky Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Fox is the reason... They flock everything up...well they've managed to keep the Simpsons and various Cops related shows going since the dawn of man. Seriously.. has anyone watched the Simpsons in that last 4 years? On a brighter note. Aqua Teen Hunger Force is coming back with new episodes sunday. w000000t.
gavin19 Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Fox is the reason... They flock everything up... They cancelled Arrested Development no less! At least we got 53 episodes but it could have been a lot more. Idiots. The first of those last four Futurama movies has a good rant at Fox
KyokugenKiss Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I just saw Apt Pupil, i thought it was a pretty decent movie, i just wished they had killed off david shwimmer somehow
Weirdy Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Lynch One even though it was a documentary, it felt kinda like a smug-fest
