Fatal Rose Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 The new Harold & Kumar. Wasn't thrilled over it but it could have been worse. Iron Man is... yeh :/ ... Marvel has a lot better to work with.seriously, we get a good iron man, but crappy Punisher, fantastic 4 and Captain America movies. Marvel needs to get it's head on straight. The next Hulk movie looks craptacular as well. Actually, as of... 2 years ago, Iron Man has been one of the best selling Marvel comics around. Avengers has pretty much always been on top. It's nice to be nostalgic and all, but you should keep up on current Marvel Universe events. Captain America is dead, all superhero's need to register or face imprisonment, Tony Stark is now technologically super powered due to the Extremis virus, Thor is back, but changed due to him destroying Asgard. It's being rebuilt though thanks to him. The Scarlet Witch wiped out nearly all the mutants on earth, a skrull invasion has begun at the fault of the illuminati which consists of Namor, Tony Stark, Reed Richards, Charles Xavior, Black Bolt, and Dr. Strange. Oh, and Bucky is the new Captain America and the Red Skull cloned Steve Rogers and is trying to use him as his new vessel. He's currently inhabiting Alexander Lukin, owner of Kronos Corp. In Hulk news, he's still alive after nearly destroying all of New York because the illuminati shot him off into space. Hulk's ship destroyed his adoptive planet, along with his pregnant wife and Hulk blamed the illuminati. Wow, I wish I could pay attention to studying as much as I do comics... You forgot about "The Twelve" and the Invaders/Avengers story arc coming up.
emwearz Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 (edited) The Basketball Diaries I like Leo when he was younger (Whats Eating Gilbert Grape, The Basketball Diaries, This Boys Life) then I disliked pretty much every movie he made up until recently where his movies have been great since he started teaming up with Martin Scorsese, this is most likely his best pre-Scorsese era film, at least to me. gavin19 Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 I think his best is Catch Me If You Can, though admittedly I'm not a Scorcese fan. Coincidentally, I just noticed this a few days back, Akira!
ken_cinder Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Batman Begins was ASS, and never should have been made, at the very least not with who they cast as Batman (He's a HORRIBLE actor). As for better than Ironman in comic movies? Where? Yeah right. \Fantastic 4 is a ridiculous Marvel IP in the first place, Hulk is a joke (So was the movie) and X-Men could have been FAR better given the decades of comic material to draw from. And how do you do better with The Punisher? There isn't much to that character, I'm rather surprised a movie was even do-able. P.S. The Crow used to be my fav movie, watch it again sometime. It's not as good as you remember it.
L.S.D Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Crow 1 was a great movie with great soundtrack. Love the movie a lot. Sadly, it went downhill starting with City of Angels.

And I totally forgot about Blade. Blade kicks ass all over Iron Mans face. Period.
solidius23 Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 besides the upcoming hulk, which could still surprise i doubt it,but since marvel has their own studios and creative control over their movies now, they should be a lot better. iron man kicked ass damn all you haters lol.

But once you keep dragging it on, and with Underworld 1&2, the vampire movies get old.
Inky Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 blade III was poo. that seems to be the superhero movie curse, blade III, X3, the third and beyond batmans up till begins, spiderman 3, they all suck eggs. anyways on topic I seen Iron man again just to be sure.... yeah it's pretty cheesy on the second watch. like almost ghostrider cheesy.
gavin19 Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Conspiracy (2008). Val Kilmer goes all Rambo/Seagal/Texas Ranger in this action/revenge flick. Average but for the presence of Kilmer, and Gary Cole as the bad guy. Kilmer plays an ex-Marine searching for his old buddy in some border town, under development by some war-mongering/benefitting company owned by Cole. Don't want to give any more away but it wasn't half bad. 6/10
Inky Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Right at Your Doorhttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt0458367/ really good, 8/10
Mooney Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 Just saw Iron Man. Really liked it. Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark was a complete badass.
