Alpha Posted December 24, 2004 Posted December 24, 2004 What do you guys believe the purpose of life is. Not the generic term, but your actual purpose and goals in life before you die? I believe the purpose of life is to defy all evil and only see what is not. In detail... + Have a family + Teach what you know is right and wrong+ Donate to charities at least once in your lifetime+ Never give up on anything your set out to do + Never think about death as much, but to live your life and enjoy it + Remember that your actions speak louder than words and that everyone around you has feelings inside them+ Live healthy and be able to decipher what can be at risk of your health+ Be happy and hope that everyone around you is happy as well+ Realize that time is of the essence+ Know who you are

Agozer Posted December 24, 2004 Posted December 24, 2004 The meaning of life is 42. In all seriousness though, someone once said that you haven't lived if you have not loved someone/been loved by someone. I think life isn't really fun if you haven't had at least one relationship in your lifetime; that's what I believe anyway. Being surrounded by friends and family is the other thing.
Ryuken Posted December 24, 2004 Posted December 24, 2004 meaning of life is to make the world better so in ur next life , the world would be a better place, but then u just keep making it better and it'll never end,
Mr.X Posted December 24, 2004 Posted December 24, 2004 The meaning of Ur life 's to expess our creativity to make History.
Mr.X Posted December 24, 2004 Posted December 24, 2004 Very nice, Skythe ! But if U drink or smoke to stay emotionnally stable, U won't keep Ur health... So, replace drinks & cigarettes with video games or a cute girlfriend... This 's just a "fake" as recommendation for X-Mas...

Diso Posted December 24, 2004 Posted December 24, 2004 What is the purpose in life. To live it out duh. Everyone makes their own purpose wheter u just be a couch potato or something. JUST LIVE THE DAMN LIFE. Opportunities pop up and add on to what u think is ur purpose. So shoo.
Chaotica Posted December 24, 2004 Posted December 24, 2004 I believe it is to be happy, within reason. Ie: as long as your happiness does not come from hurting others, or doing morally bad stuff like that. I believe it is also to try new things. "Living" is not simply existing in the box/mindset/ideology that you were born in - it is experimentation, changing your ways, going through new experiences. Trying new things also (usually) makes you happy, which goes back to my first point.
alexis Posted December 24, 2004 Posted December 24, 2004 (edited) the meaing of life is actually the same of any other animal born grow reproduce and die the only thing that distinguish us, is that we are conscious about the fact we will die some day, and of course the faith, the belief that there is life after death, but this is a question no one has answers for it Edited December 24, 2004 by alexis

taratata Posted December 24, 2004 Posted December 24, 2004 I don't think there is any purpose or meaning in life. We just are. However if I really had to define a purpose, I'd say try to discover other things and cultures, try to make others also discover these, and to die less stupid than I was born (that can be pretty tricky; most people don't achieve that). Most importantly, not to impose to others my own point of view, but to try to understand theirs and take the best of it.
