Tim is a sad and strange little man. i occasionally go there (without logging in) just to observe the insanity which used to be one of the BEST forums around. now, in my opinion, its a joke. i did notice this new addition, and to be quite honest with you, it didnt surprise me, not one bit. i beleive that it is the beginning of the end for A@H. please...hold the tears.

does anyone know if you can use a download manager like flashget or something else in the download section of emuchina? i know it says that you can only use internet explorer, but i was wondering if it worked with anything else? i wish to be able to schedule my downloads so i can go do other things instead of having to sit infront of my pc forever. does anyone know that could tell me before i have to go and download every dm to see if one works?

well, like i said i would, ive been searching around for it too. here is what i have come up with so far. westwood studios, the developer of the game, have discontinued it. this means they are not producing anymore for sale, and many retailers have to make due with what they have in stock. so when they sell them all, thats it im afraid. so the only two routes you can take are to, buy it used from a local store in your area or website, or download it. i have been searching under both these options for you, and have so far come up short. i'll keep looking though. someone has to have it, right?

3rd edition huh? i must be oldschool then. all my books are 2nd edition. but like i said, i havent played since high school. hmm...lets see, i guess that would be like almost 8 years. WOW!! it doesnt feel like its been that long. i guess time does fly.

i think you are looking for a "4 way system selector". you connect all your systems up to it, and feed the line from the selector into you tv. then, when you want to play a particular system, you just hit the button marked on the selector, selecting the system, and away you goooo!!!!! check out http://www.ebgames.com. i think they carry it.

did you check to see if it is in the bios? the "zlib.dll" file is for zip file support, so that you can play the rom while it is zipped up. maybe if you cannot get it to recognize the zlib.dll file, you could unzip the rom, if you want, and see if it will play like that. or just download the bios again from another site.

yeah, back in high school, i played ALOT of d&d. i still have some of the books too. my favorite character to play was a battle rager dwarf. you can really let loose of all your aggression when you play a dwarf i think. they are sooo cool. but anyway, i know for sure that i have "the complete psionics handbook", which will really come in handy when planning the characters special attacks in the game, especially the wizard, mage and elementals.

yeah, most of those games are HUGE to say the least. if you have a dvd burner, and want to copy them right from the game cd to a dvd, then you should be str8. but, if you dont, the games will have to be ripped down to fit a cd-r. basically, you just remove, say, the movie files and the language files, still keeping the one for the language you speak ofcourse. that should bring down the size of the game considerably. after that, if the game is still too big to fit on a cd-r, the process gets a little more complicated. if you need anymore info on the subject, i dont know if you are planning on ripping a ps2 or x-box game yourself, just give me a jingle and i'll see if i can help.

probably the ps3 will be the next one out, i think i heard christmas 2003, but thats just me guessing. as for nintendo, ive always been a HUGE fan, and a loyal one at that. now that sega isnt putting out anymore consoles, its nintendo all the way for me! no matter what, im not about to sell it out now or ever, thats a fact jack. but i do agree, nintendo will probably come in last, thats just being realistic. i just hope they dont through in the towel because of it and stop making consoles. GOD, THAT WOULD BE A NIGHTMARE!!!!! microsoft will try try try, to get in first place, spending as much money and buying out as many game developers as possable, but will most likely come in second. that leaves sony coming in first. aside from nintendo, i think they are the most disearving of the bunch. but whoever wins, its going to be intresting. not just the competition side of it, but the systems themselves. man...its going to be something.

yeah, from what ive read, mgs2 is THE GAME to get for the ps2, like rouge leader is for the gamecube. sorry to say though, but ive never played any metal gear games, not for any system. i have the psx iso that i downloaded, but have never gotten around to trying it out.

the only registering i know of is for their ftp. you have to pay money though. if there is a way to register for their downloads for free, I SURE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW!

those all sound GREAT! speaking of elementals, how about earth and wind? the earth elemental could be like comprised of mudd and rocks and stuff of that nature. that does make alot of characters though, but just an idea. picturing the game in my head, i cant wait to play it. im really into mythical characters of this sort. this is going to be a great fighter. question. would it be possable to add sound to the game? what i mean is, give the charcters speaking dialogue. that would be really cool.

NO!! i dont think it will ever die. if you are speaking of someone shutting it down, its impossable. the only way they could come close is by shutting down the internet. now we all know that will never happen unless its in accordance with the fall of society as a whole. if they made it impossable to have a website, lets say, that gave out roms, emulators, or just emu info in general, their are still other ways of distributing such content. im not going to name any, use you imagination. but anyway, in conclusion, i think its very unlikely.
