try just using goodxxx, without using the goodwindows gui. its pretty easy to opporate witout it anyway. maybe that will do it.

i just checked my recent lists for goodnes inwhich i used the goodwindows gui for goodtools, and it looks like it excludes the bad dumps and over dumps, maybe a few others, but thats it. still, it sucks for guys like me who are collecting the "whole" set. maybe it will work when not using goodwindows. i'll check later when i have time.

i have the same exact problem, just with the missing text, not the have text. do you know if it does the same thing when not using the gui? it makes trying to find the roms you dont have very difficult obviously.

well, yah, most young people today, who are just getting into video games, havent had the opportunity to get to know these classic games. guys like myself on the other hand, old geezers, grew up playing titles like, pac-man, ghosts n' goblins, cruisin usa, etc. the list goes on an on and on. besides reasons of nastalgia, one thing is that you cannot improve on these games. many people have tried, but they havent quite gotten it. i say, THANK GOD FOR EMULATION! because if we didnt have it, im sure these games would one day be lost forever. most arcades, in my area anyway, dont even carry them anymore. its sad.

i was considering something like that myself, but only if i could do it most of the time from home. i dont think i could be cooped up in a cubical all day long or anything. I WOULD GO INSANE! right now, i do two things. first is as a freelance illustrator and painter. i work mostly on commision, doing portraits for people and stuff, but sometimes im able to sell some of my own work that i do on the side. my second job is a night job. im assistant to the manager of a newspaper print shop. its ok work. i just recently got promoted to this title. if i hadnt gotten promoted within ther next year though, i would have left to look for something else. hey emsley, you mentioned trucks. why not become a truck driver. i hear they make good money, if you dont mind the long drives and the responsability for something that big and all. one thing though, i dont know how it is in your part of the world, but in america, truck driving is one of the most dangerous jobs out there. this is because they are always getting robbed and stuff. so, i guess that is something you should look at before choosing it as a career. you know,...if you like living and stuff.

same here. its killer instinct for me. i used to skip school, ok, ALOT, and go to the arcade. there i would spend like 6-8 hours playing games and drinking slurpies from the 7-eleven. my favorite game was killer instinct. what i liked to do was drop acid and play this game. man, i would see some crazy stuff, let me tell you. but it would be cool to be able to play this one on mame. definately.

darn it! i dont remember between what versions it was, i think between.59 an.60, but anyway, they went from one to the next like right on top of each other. i think it was between a time span of like a few weeks. but sadly, this isnt the case now ofcourse. ohwell, i still have plenty of games to play in the mean time, pc, console, games at the arcade, aswell as emulated games. so they can take their time if it means a better update.

im hardly a genious. i actually had never heard of this file format until now. so "thank you" for giving me the opportunity to learn something new. just wondering, how good is the compression with.sit files? have you had a chance to compare them up against a.zip or.rar file? also, where did you obtain this.sit file from? was it a rom site or something? just curious.

who needs punks like that anyway. what i mean is, do we really need people like that, who are only intrested in self-gratification, lurking around on this board? the ones who are only intrested in leaching as many roms and isos as they can, never thinking once to try and give something back to the scene. no big loss in my opinion. sure we have few "active" members on this board. but i think what matters is quality, not quantity.

yah, all i know is that today planetemu has been a little screwy. i think its server trouble or something. for example, i went to download a few roms, and when i went to download the second rom, it gave me a waiting time that read something like, 11100076589200... . hope this was just for today and not a long lasting problem. ...

that would be cool if they had an update. its been a while. i wonder what games are gonna be next on the list. hhmm...(colors begin to swirl around in ME!'s head, the sign of a daydream coming on. ME! then passes out and his head crashes through the monitor.)

oh yah! this site definately has that rom, infact, its the game of the month. just go here <edited out> and go to the roms and isos section, and it will be there. now, if its not the english version, because that is probably what you are searching for, then try this site here <edited out>. they have a butt load of roms there, im sure they have it. if not just come back here for further assistace.
