i know how you feel dude. this year has been crazy for me too, not just with this site, but with life in general. but look around, we are ALL still here, alive and kicking. so everything is ok. nothing is easy, im sure we all know that. this site has proven itself to be a significant part of the emu scene. i mean hey, most emusites never last a few months, let alone a year. but we've done it. now, most of the credit does belong to you GameCop. you kept going when most people would of said the heck with it and given up. i have an extreme amount of respect for you due to that. i also think credit has to go out to each and every member here at the forums, no matter how long they have been here or what position they hold. because without members, it wouldnt be a forum, would it? congrads to everyone on a job well done. looking into my crystal ball, i forsee that 2003 will be the year of EmulForums!!!!!!!!!!!

wrestling games or wrestling in general? shouldnt it have something to do with emulation though? its not that i dont like wrestling, i used to be a hardcore fan back in the day, but im not too sure about this one.

hey DCL, speaking of pod racer, i just remembered something. if you have winxp and have found that the game has some problems playing correctly like a "white screen" lock up, or, it keeps quiting to desktop, i have some good news. they have FINALLY released some patches to help clear up these issues. you can pick them up here : http://support.lucasarts.com/trg/xp/xptitle.htm it also has some fixes for other lucas arts games aswell i beleive. i was extremly excited when i learned of this to say the least, since sw pod racer is one of my favorite games. anyways, just thought id let everyone, who'd be intrested, know.

yeah dude, it would be as cool as hell!! i think we can have up to 5 "main" members of a player association (clan) and each can have a number of people underneath them and so on and so on. i know for the beta testing, all you have to pay for is the shipping of the game, which is reasonable i think.

That is pretty likely BUT if they actually make this game as good as it sounds then I will gladly pay a monthly fee for an MMORPG for the first time I was never too keen on everquest and the only other MMRPG I played a lot was PSO 1 & 2. The PAL version had no hunters license fee so that made it even better. We haven't had a really good Star wars game (minus maybe pod racer and Jedi Knight II) for years and its about time we got one. I mean it's the best license in the world!!! Surely you can't mess it up anymore! Another star wars game looks good. Knights of the republic I think it's called. It is an RPG for PC and Xbox made by Bioware (Baldurs Gate II, Neverwinter Nights etc), so it is in good hands. glad to see you back DCL. your absolutely right. you are going to have to pay like 10 bucks or so a month to play the game, but IMO, its totally worth it. the star wars universe has got to be one, if not the greatest and most loved fantasy world ever created. its true, we havent had a good sw game in a while, except for pod racer, like you said and jk2. another game that wasnt too bad was starfighter, but it was WAY too short. knights of the old republic is the game you are thinging of, and you are correct, it does look great aswell. thats one that i am going to be picking up aswell as SWG. let me know if you do get SWG DCL, i would love to meet up with you on Tatooine or Corellia and go adventuring, maybe as a team of bounty hunters or something. what do you think?

a number of things. id have to say : 1-download the full rom sets for N64, SNES, Geneisis and Mame. 2-play the hell out of my new gamecube, which i will be getting in like 2 days or so 3-try to balance my time better between here(EmulForums), work, a social life, and SWG(Star Wars Galaxies, which comes out in 3 months) 4-sleep more(this one is the most far fetched of the 4)

im sure "MP" stands for "Magic Points", but how come mine and other "high post" member"s bars are at 0%? other members that have like 50 or less posts have 100% MP. does it all have to do with the number of magic slots a member has? please explain. ps- is this for the voting thing that was being discused earlier or is it for something entirely different like an attack system or something?

true...true, there are quite a few online rpg's out on the market as of now, but this is the only one that truely intrests me enough to pay the cost for the game and the online membership. phantasy star is probably another that i will take part in, when the store in my area gets more in ofcourse, everywhere i go they are sold out. but anyways, games like the sims online, just dont do it for me, too reality based. i want to be transported to another world entirely, what better than the star wars universe, eh? as for, "driving around in a landspeeder choppings/shooting ppl's heads off", does sound like a good time to be had, but there are soooo many more possabilities in this game than that. i for one, have always wanted to become a jedi, first starting out as a padiwan learner, then taking the trials, becoming a jedi knight and eventually a jedi master. i would also, somewhere along the line, like to have my character "fall from grace" as it were, or, in other words, join the darkside of the force. ofcourse, eventually i would then be lured back to the light, but its all about the experiance of it. from what ive heard so far, you can have 8-10 characters per account, all on different servers. this means you can explore different areas, or paths in the game, without eraising your previous character and starting over. this is good for me, cause i also want to be a bounty hunter, pirate, empirial soldier (not a storm trooper, at first, only the computer can be storm troopers) a politician, a droid builder, animal trainer etc. another good thing is that a player cant be any of the classic or well known chracters, such as luke skywalker, han solo or darth vader. this is good, i dont really think we need 50,000 luke skywalkers running around all screaming "you're not my father!!!!!!!!!!!!".

anyone here waiting in anticipation for this game besides me?? if you guys dont know what i am talking about, "Star Wars Galaxies : An Empire Divided", is going to be an RPG which will be played online with people all over the world. it is being developed by lucas arts (ofcourse), and SOE (sony online entertainment) and will be released sometime around mid april for the pc. eventually it will be released for the xbox and ps2 aswell. man, it is just going to be sooo vast, my head is spinning. the game's point in time will be set somewhere around the time after the distruction of the first death star. as for you, you will be able to choose : what speicies, race, physical appearace - such as eye color, shape/size of nose etc political standing - empirial, rebel or neutral path which you intend to take in your life - such as jedi, wookie hair dresser etc...the list goes on............. as i said, it is going to be soooo vast, therefore i couldnt possably do a good enough job of explaining the whole idea of the game, and its endless possabilites for gameplay here. if you would like to learn more about it, i suggest you check out the games site : http://www.starwarsgalaxies.com/ let me know if anyone of you are going to get the game. maybe we could meet up in mos eisely sometime for a drink or something.

direct connect. as long as you have files to share with others, it is the best. most hubs (servers) on direct connect dont require a specific type of files, so you could share basically anything, besides porn ofcourse. i used to use winmx too, but soon got tired of all the leechers and bastards that wont share anything. none of this in direct connect. if someone wont share with you, just notify one of the ops (mods) in the hub and they will see to the problem by either making the fellow share or banning him/her from the hub. also, direct connect is more community based, which means if you make some friends in the hub, you are pretty much set up for getting whatever files hey have to share at anytime. its the best p2p proggy out at the moment in my opinion. well, if you want to give it a try, you can start here : http://www.neo-modus.com. this is where you can download the program and read more about it. here are some hubs that i freaquent which you may find useful. yeah, its called "dragonball : the magic begins". it looks to be filmed origionally in japanese but you can get the english dubbed version from bestbuy for like 14 bucks or something. i havent seen it myself but from what ive heard it sucks. ive also heard that fox has bought the rights to make some dragonball and dragonball z live action films aswell. one is to be released in 2003 or 2004 i think. ive also heard that jet lee might play goku in the film, that would be intresting to see i think.

i see we both have the same taste in movies. i got : back to the future trilogy on dvd star wars episode 2 on dvd nightmare before christmas on dvd dvd/vhs player combo (i was totally shocked by this one) a groovy lava lamp now with the money i got from my relatives and some i saved up, im now out to get a gamecube along with a buncha games, like : star wars rogue squadron 2 rogue leader resident evil zero super mario sunshine (you gotta get 'ol mario) star wars bounty hunter star wars the clone wars (as you can see im a HUGE sw fan) well, thats about it. id say im a happy camper this year.

You are looking for that exact version or will any do??? yeah, im looking for the "exact" version. it kinda tweeks my melon since its almost the only one that i am missing out of the whole set. oh well. i think it may just be a glitch in goodtools or something, that it isnt recognizing the rom correctly. its very puzzling.
