actually, there's alot more possible on the ancient neogeo software than people think. it's not really the hardware, it's how you use it. (have you realized that from like kof96 upwards, it's been almost impossible to have a perfect home replica until the newest gen consoles came out?)

seriously, what's wrong with garou's graphics? they were great.. i for one am not really a fan of the super high res look of a game like guilty gear. i don't hate it, but i don't love it. i wouldn't buy the game based on that. but seriously though, you say you wouldn't mind a 3d snk game... but: compare fatal fury wild ambition to garou mark of the wolves compare samurai showdown 4 with samurai showdown 64.

alexis. that's bullshit. cause no matter how smart a programmer is and how hard he works on encryption and security some one will eventually find a way around it. like the saying goes, build something fool proof and someone will build a better fool. besides, don't you think that the money wasted on anti-piracy security and stuff would be better off spent on the software development itself or on bringing the software prices down. exactly.

true, and that's probably why the games are more playable than the majority of the crap released today. because they didn't waste their money making (l33t graphics) the spent it on good solid gameplay. besides, if snk turn 3d, who will we have left for quality 2d gaming?

xenogears is a must. if you like chronotrigger it's a must if you didn't like chrono trigger it's a must. let's just say that i (and indeed a shitload of people ) consider it WAAAAAY greater than the infamous ff7 (and in my view, that's not accomplishing much) but if you miss out on this game you'll seriously regret it.

you know, i'd actually love to find that game... but it's doubtful that you'll find it dumped easily.. because it's not that popular. your best bet is to do a long search yourself on google.

actually genesis, you never know, the neogeo hardware has been managing to survive through everything... it's the longest living piece of hardware in history of videogames. so you never know, it might manage to survive.

technically they are playable. just with a shitload of graphical errors. but i agree, this has become silly.

New characters: either too powerful and cheezy (suija, yoshi, mina, sankuro "who is a mid boss btw") or too useless (ratsumaru,enja, and that red thing, and the guy that flies.) getting rid of the two bars was one of the biggest mistakes they made. overall not a bad game, but still not a notch on SS4 or SS3 btw there's a storyline explaination faq on www.gamefaqs.com

The question of kain and grant won't fully be answered until garou two garou time line, if according to the story, terry found rock when he was around 4-10 during a time after kof97-99 garou is based on around 2010 (after south town is rebuilt after nests had destroyed it) so terry should be around 30.

some arcade owners did buy them, but it wasn't sold enough to be considered a success, so eventually snk (during their bankrupcy too) turned their back on it.
