  1. I don't know if this is in the right place but it isn't exactly PC Technical Help. Anyway, I'm looking for a free program that can change music files. For example - turn an MP3 into a WMA or change a WAV into a MP3 and so on. I had Sony Soundforge 7 but the ability to import or export MP3s ran out as it was on a trial. Sound Forge also did more technical things, I'm just looking for a simple program that allows me to change music file types. Obviously if it does other things as well, I'm not bothered. Thanks.
  2. Thanks Gryphon, I didn't know version 10 was available until I read this. I downloaded it minutes after I read your post.
  3. Thanks. Good info. The PAL xbox version will have both bundled together (I think), but the xbox pad is crap for 2D fighters. The English/European SF2 movie had the Chun-Li shower scene. It was only when I downloaded the Avi for my PC that I realised that it had been cut (I downloaded US version obviously). I hope they do release 3rd Strike separately. For budget price hopefully. I want compensation!
  4. It feels more natural because it is. Calling "Gallon" "Jon Talbain" is the most un-natural thing ever...
  5. I say Nash and always have. It seems a bit two faced to say Charlie and then call M.Bison - Vega and Akuma - Gouki. I only use the Japanese names as that's what the developers called the characters. I don't see the point in calling the characters the US names. The only reason the Americans changed the names is because M.Bison sounds too much like M. Tyson, therefore censoring the game. Then they changed around the other bosses names to fit. And I suppose they changed Gouki to Akuma because people unaware of Japanese pronounciations would call him Gooky instead of Goh-Ky. It's the same as the idiots who think changing the way you say names/words to sound more english is right. Saying "Sa-cure-a" instead of "Sa-ku-ra" and saying "Ky-oh-sook" instead of "Kyoh-su-kegh". And obviously "Ry-oo" or "Ree-oo" instead of "Ryu" (1 syllabyl said quickly). The Japanese people say Ralf and Clark different to how they should be pronounced but I don't say them the Japanese way as they are English words. Japanese words should be said the way they should be said. However, we understand a Japanese person saying Ralf to us because we know it is their accent making it sound different, if we said "Sa-sook" instead of "sa-su-ke", they would have no idea what we are saying. As a further example, Ein from DOA I pronounce the same as nine without the first 'n'. This is because it derives from the german word for 'one' (what with him being a Neo rip-off and all), whereas I would guess that the Japanese pronunciation would be different, sounding more like jane without the 'j'.
  6. Yeah. I searched for Street Fighter on Amazon.com and then again on amazon.co.uk. The american has the SF collection, the movie AND Sf 3rd strike. The pal only has the game and the movie. And is cheaper.
  7. I just realised why I didnt know 3rd Strike was already released. It's because the bastards who converted it for PAL in England cut 3rd Strile out and I didnt know. The Anniversary collection is a budget title and while it does include the SF2 animated movie, it has had 3rd strike removed. SCUM
  8. I've been reading a bit of that canon guide thing for Street Fighter. The person that wrote it (and everyone else), seems to think that SFA1, 2 and 3 are different events in the SF universe. The fact is that Alpha 3 is the definitive Alpha game and not the 3rd story of the whole Alpha games.Alphas 2 and 3 are just superior remakes of Alpha 1, not chronologically ordered continuations of the story. The thing I read was: They didn't change it because Alpha 2 has not happened in Alpha 3. The only time Ryu had his red headband whilst he was the Alpha sprite was in MvsC1 and this then reset back to white for MvsC2. Some people would try and explain why this is, but the fact is that the Marvel games aren't anything to do with the SF universe and are just like the dream match from KOF. You can't explain most things without confirmation from Capcom. That's the point -It's just a game with no real story that makes any sense until the next game's prologue, and character back-stories as they are the only things that are set in stone and the only things that comprise a story at all. If you believed every ending from every SF game then you would think that Zangief disabled the psycho drive with E.Honda and that Birdie lost his strength while trying to get the psycho drives power.Only one ending is supposed to happen. Decided by Capcom and not even explained exactly who is supposed to actually have beaten Vega or Gill or whoever until the next real sequel. The other endings are just "what ifs", as some of the more bizarre scenarios suggest. VF is the same, but without the ending stories. It is explained in the manual to VF3 that Akira was the one that actually won the tournament. This is then used as the basis to write the prologue to the game.
  9. The problem with WMP9's Audio CD burner is that it changes the MP3(or WAV file) to WMA that is a lower quality and then burns it. Which makes it sound really bad. Nero's Audio CD Maker is much better imo. Because it does the old way of make cdda tracks (Source) -> WAV -> CDDA which sounds MUCH MUCH better then WMP9's way. Ok, but I don't listen to audio Cds anymore anyway. I only burn them if my mother wants some songs that I have on my PC.
  10. That's not hostile? I call it common sense. Well I did burn it with a cue file. But I wouldn't call knowing about ePSXe burning isos common sense. It's so uncommon, I bet 95% of the Earths population don't know what a cue file is.
  11. WMAs are almost the same as MP3s and yes you can burn them into audio tracks on an audio CD. I listen to every music file with Windows Media Player 9 and listen to music on my minidisc player. WMAs can be converted into ATRAC3 (mini disc tracks) and Audio tracks for CDs. PS - I burn the audio CDs with WMP9, does that make it different?
  12. I have 2 dreamcast arcade sticks. But I still want it on a PS pad (either on the PS2 or wait for the emulated PC version) because using the stick either on my crossed legs or just in front of them on the floor gives me ultra pins and needles in my legs. Plus I think PS pads are better to play fighting games than sticks. I find the moves (super moves) don't work 100% of the time when using an arcade stick, but that's just me.
  13. I wouldn't disagree too much with the 9 mentioned characters, but: Although Ken IS a mega powerful character, he is not among THE strongest ever. He is inbetween Sagat (human) and the lower part of the inhuman tier. And I only said Dan was strong in the game, not in the story. He is supposed to be pretty weak, but it's just funny how he is one of the most powerful when you play as him. People who think Dan is useless (there are lots of them), they are obviously not that skilled at SF and have never played a master SF demon. And I don't think Chun-Li is THAT strong. Her claims of being the strongest woman alive doesnt mean much. Plus Rose is a more powerful woman....but she isn't alive in SF2. So maybe she is. But there are still loads more powerful men. Double Post Ahoy!!
  14. Yes Sagat is the hardest fully human dude. But you said Guile was. Guile is only strong story wise because he was the main character for SF2 when it was first released (Ryu and Ken were just returning, he was the main new guy). And E.Honda was also a powerhouse storywise because he is Japanese, and Japanese developers do things like that.
  15. What's with the hostility? What did you like, MAKE the list? "That's your problem"? Just tell me to turn sub-channels on. jeez. So, yeah, reading between your back-handed advice, you seem to have provided the answer, so thanks I guess.
  16. I just get a black screen when I attempt to run Driver 2. It says on the compatibility list that with Pete's Open GL plug-in version 2 that 'Driver 2' works 100% perfect. I got this plug-in and it runs every game slower than normal and Driver 2 still doesn't get past the black screen. Could this be a settings problem? Has anyone else succesfully run 'Driver 2' on ePSXe? Thanks
  17. He is in the list. And this has nothing to do with how well they win in matches.
  18. If we need this "everyone else that isn't God like or Inhuman" list, then Sagat easily tops it. He is the best fighter in the world (obviously except for the ridiculously powerful) who wins all the fighting tournaments. This was his role in the SF series. He is the greatest fighter until they came out with the almost magical powers of Gill, Vega, etc. He is the "Ton-Po (KickBoxer movie)" style best fighter at the top of all tournaments. To prove this - he was the last boss in the "un-magical" era of Street Fighter 1 and 2nd to last in SF2, only superceded by the (at that time secret) god-like Vega. Plus - he always comes darn close to beating Ryu. PS: You missed Zangief from the "human list". He is an essential character like Chun-Li and Guile and this alone proves his power.
  19. Of course Ryu is the most powerful fighter in the world (regardless of the story FAQ), it's just that he is young and hasn't yet reached his full potential. He is the hero of the series and therefore the guy who will "save the world" and be the undisputed most powerful fighter. Also, Rose is in this list because she is mega powerful, almost, as you say, God like. She was charged with the task by destiny of taking Vega down and almost succeeded....but died. When Ryu was just a kid (Zero 1), Rose was the strongest except for Vega and therefore the focus of the SF Zero series' storyline. A lot of people seem to think Rose is less important than she actually is. Much like Alex in SF3, she IS the main character in the SF Zero series, except for Ryu who has to be represented as the main character in game terms rather than story. PS: Dan and Sean are supposed to be weak fighters for comedy value, but how come I kick people's asses with them ALL the time?
  20. That's just his clothes. He wears a trench coat and a hat but he's just a normal man. If you haven't seen Metropolis - see it, it's great. Plus there is a cute version of Q. A grey robot in a 1940's trench coat and hat. Definitely Q. Unless they were influenced from their own SF2 Animated Movie - the robots who spy on the fighters wear diferent disguises to blend in with the public. I'm sure one of them dressed like Q.
  21. I don't know if there is a definitive order to how powerful the Street Fighters are supposed to be (Story wise). But here is my suggestion. I know K'dash will think he knows the proper order 1. Ryu (he doesn't know yet) 2. Gill 3. Vega 4. Oro 5. Gen 6. Gouki 7. Rose I know there will be some wrong orders in there but this is my guess. Hardcore Street Fighter fans reply!
  22. Yes Q is weird but he is taken from the anime - Metropolis.
  23. Yeah it's annoying how they don't get everything right, but you can't wish for everything. I'm sure it'll capture a lot of Fantastic 4 greatness. It just seems as if the designers didn't have much to do so thought what they could do to alter it. Like people who change recipes of already loved products. By the way, I thought making Spider-man shoot webs from his hand was a lot better than saying that any old science student or scientist could make the super strong web shooters. That was a daft decision of Marvel. It didn't make sense. PS. Thanks fo listing it all so I dont have to be bothered to read it.
  24. So it's a good conversion? I've heard that the xbox one comes free with SF2Hyper Anniversary, but it is seperate for the PS2 right? That's what I thought. EDIT: The PS2 is crap at 2D so how can it have full animation frames? The ram sucks.
