  1. Thanks dude. But I already did that and wondered if there was an easier/better way (like WMP9). Stupid chuffs at Microsoft. I bet they are only making WMP10 worse so that when 11 comes out, they will have something obvious to change to make it better.
  2. What do I look like? I look like a cross between Kim Dong Hwan and Kim Jae Hoon, I look exactly like Kim Kaphwan.
  3. Saturday Night Slam Masters Well, if you want to get real technical, Mike Haggar started in Final Fight and Capcom put him in Saturday Night Slam Masters later on as a hidden character. Technical? He wasn't secret in Slam Masters/Muscle Bomber. Plus, he has always been a wrestler, that's why they needed to put him in Slam Masters. -VIOLENCE- , Why do you pronouce Zan-gee-eff wrong on "the streets"?
  4. Sounds like your just trying to find a reason to put another KOF character in your poll.
  5. I do see where you're coming from but Clark is a soldier. His character design brief wasn't for a wrestler, it just turned out that his moves list took its influences predominantly from that, as KOF94 was short of a 'grab character'.
  6. Nah, He's very cool and doesn't really use anything but wrestling moves (and I love him) but he's not wrestling themed. He's military again, like Alex.
  7. Sorry to all you guys who voted before Tizoc was up there. The bottom guy was Muscle Power from World Heroes. He was up there because he is very memorable for being a blatant Hulk Hogan rip off. Plus I love his "Number 1!" spinning back breaker and dumbest looking taunt in a fighting game. What a laugh. Another wrestler I love is Darun Mister from SF EX. I didn't put him in the poll, however as he is a bit unknown compared to the other 10 I wanted to put in.
  8. I've looked, and I don't think so. There IS one file in Edonkey that is slooooowly downloading. Try that.
  9. It's only the second one. And wrestling dominates fighting games. Wrestlers pop up in almost EVERY fighting game there has ever been and will continue to do so. You can't make a fighting roster without having a wrestler or a character with wrestling influence. Anyway, best left shoe is Sakura's, as it actually comes off her foot during her win animation.
  10. Thanks for the info dude. Dammit! I hoped the PC version would be awesome. Now I want the American and Korean soundtracks!
  11. Damn! You're right, I DID forget Tizoc. (Unlike Alex) Sorry Man, I love him too. I loved him even more until I realised they only got his 'genius' design from copying King but changing his mask for a different animal. I was trying to think of every wrestler in my head and forgot him. Should be able to edit polls (if any still have no votes, should be able to swap one). Oh well all others are covered. I'm pretty sure they are anyway. Although I don't agree with simplifying moves (Akira's stun palm was better when I was the only one who could keep doing it). 360s OWN. 'Cause almost nobody 360s like I do - standing = every time, after blocking = every time and Banishing Punch or Giant Palm Bomber into super double 360s. Proper grab characters are awesome. These are my favourite characters due to most people not being able to 360 without jumping. Tizoc's simplified moves in 2003 detract from his Garou awesomeness for me. JUSTICE HURRICANE!! Just because Tizoc isn't there, doesn't mean you all can't vote for your 2nd favourite wrestle demon.
  12. Congratulations to whoever moved this topic out of current affairs. Now it gets virtually NO replies.
  13. Is the Korean arranged soundtrack different to the US arranged soundtrack? Does this mean there is the original music, korean music and arranged US music? If so which is the best soundtrack? I'm thinking of getting it for the PC. Is there different PC versions or just an American? If so, which do u recommend? Thanks. EDIT: I also want to know if my PS USB will work perfectly in the PC version. And also (sorry), are the backgrounds re-coloured and are there any other Champion Edition style tweaks such as new costume colours etc. Thanks a bundle
  14. He's NOT a bloody wrestler. He uses a military 'Combat Karate' style (much like Guile) with a (small) wrestling influence, but you wouldn't catch him anywhere near the sparkling masks, baby-oiled nancy boys and ridiculous showmanship of a wrestling ring. He's my favourite Street Fighter, but has been left out for a reason, so stop trying to think you're clever. I didn't forget him. He's not in because he shouldn't be in. In the same way that Clark Steel and Goro Daimon are "grab characters" but not wrestlers. Don't confuse the two.
  15. Who is the number one wrestling character of all time? Mike Haggar? Zalazof AKA Biff Slamkovich? Kamala AKA Jumbo 'Flap' Jack? Max off Bare Knuckle 2? Inoba from Ehrgeiz? Well you can't vote for these. Check the list and pledge your allegiance here... My vote HAS to go to Wolf Hawkfield, for representing wrestling better than anyone (much the same way that Steve Fox is the greatest boxing character). Wolf could easily 'outwrestle' any of the others, even though he would be crushed by Hugo and Zangief's In-human strength... Wolf rules the (red) roost (er). "TAKE THAT!!" Vote and then Post your reasons! Thanks.
  16. As I was saying earlier, about tweaks and balancing of characters being carried out in the home versions of games such as 3rd Strike, it occurs primarily because Capcom (like many Japanese companies) have a policy of never releasing a game they've already released, basically, if it doesn't have something/anything different about it, they won't bring it to market (And rightly so), and this does mean even when porting games to other platforms (like by including Dante in Viewtiful Joe on PS2). A bit different to the scumbag companies like EA who release every single game on every format, just because they had enough money to do so in the first place and giving them a cheesy advantage that other companies can't afford to compete with...) Anyway, I digress, the point is that the way this applies itself to fighting games is normally in the details. Capcom will always balance the game wherever possible and this makes sense as the arcade can essentially be seen as a test period, the home release will then iron out anything the developer didn't like about the way people are playing it. An example may be that in the original design brief for SF3 3rd Strike they wanted parrying to be hard to do, when they see how frequently general users (rather than their own testers) are successfully achieving parries, they may change the timing of the home version to bring it more in line with what they were originally aiming for. The same is obvously true of any unforeseen combo or strategy that they feel detracts from their vison. I personally am all for these changes, as it makes for a better balanced game all around and the true version of 3rd Strike as Capcom saw it. If it's what Capcom wanted no-one should argue, it will have been the right decision. You can stick up for leaving things the way they were in the original all day long but the fact remains - Demitri's unconnectable low forward in Darkstalkers and Sodom's unblockable standing roundhouse and Adon's level 3 that only the computer could perform in the Alpha 1 coin-op HAVE TO GO. These are extreme examples but you wouldn't want the home versions to carry over these stupid flaws just because they were present in the arcade version.
  17. you mean Mario on steroids? no way ! Or Haggar on a diet...
  18. I didn't get it from the manual. You should never listen to manuals. Half of the time they're written by the stupid morons who published the game rather than the ones who developed it. Anyway, his original style wasn't anything like Akira's Hakkyoku-ken. They only added moves (rip-offs) such as his iron mountain lean in an attempt to copy Akira later on in the series (3 onwards). He then took on the role as the rough 'powerhouser' of the series, just like Akira always has been in Virtua Fighter. (and now Namco are saying they want to add that style again (powerful rough-housing) but with an Asian rather than American, with Feng Wei, man they seriously wished they created Akira...) Namco's original naive character designs didn't stick to any fighting styles that actually existed, the closest thing to Paul's style was Judo, so I'm sticking to it. Oh, and you won't have seen any Judoka do most of Goh Hinogami's moves either (again, other than his throws) and he uses out-and-out Judo. Judo could never be represented as it really is in a fighting game, only in a Judo game. Heed these words - "You can't make an omelette (fighting game) without breaking some eggs (giving judo characters roundhouses and leaping high-kicks)"
  19. I'm thinking about getting GGXXReload but don't know what is exactly new. I own Guilty Gear 1, X and X2 for the PS1/2 and want to know how much of an update XX reload is. Is it worth having over the X2 (ps2) version? I know it has Robo Ky and I'm guessing it has quite a few improvements/tweaks (that's input lag to you k'dash).
  20. How about R. Bear from Streets of Rage II? Or Joe Dynamite and Kim Nang from Final Blow? Any of the Funky Head Boxers? Dean Earwicker? Did I already mention that Dean Earwicker is the best boxer in any video game ever?!
  21. That sounds crap/disgusting. I never use cheap tactics against anyone. I get no fun from using moves or tactics that the other player has no hope of getting away from. It's just so empty. It makes me feel like having an extra dinner. That's why I would never enter a games tournament. Because those places are filled with losers who live to "cheese you to death" with their secret dirty tactics. Just because they spent 500 hours learning a 90 hit combo, they will play their whole matches just trying to get this one combo on you instead of trying to play the game how it should be played. That's why I hate King of Fighters 2000 onwards as the people that play them just continually try and ultra combo you. BTW, I'm not getting at you personally k'dash, just swines who exploit any unbalanced element in any game.
  22. It's a shame no one has voted for Heavy D because he is cool as fook.
