Wizard Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 (edited) What ever I said in the last post, apply's here. I'm too lazy to Copy + Paste \ Edit: I was also lazy to start me own thread about it. Edited February 4, 2004 by K`dash
Captain FuKu Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 Wha...who's embarrassed? "Girl Gamers": Off the top of my head...typically loves to play games with musical elements. (I.e. DDR, IIDX, etc.) Apart from those types of games, if they bother playing anything else, it's usually puzzle type games. (Ex. Bust-a-Move, Puzzle Fighter, etc.) As for fighting games... Simply put: they are generally not interested in fighters -- save for those who are just in it for admiring character designs, the story, the artwork, but never for the competing against other players. When they try and play, it's usually random mashing with no underlying strategies. There's Daigo Umehara, Justin Wong, just to name a few. How many female fighting game champions are there in the world, or ever were? None.
Diso Posted February 4, 2004 Author Posted February 4, 2004 Most of them play platform games and FPS. I hardly met a female that was good at FPS without someone weakening me by a lot But I met a girl who was good at mvsc (Though I beat her with Strider a lot )
AntiWinner22 Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 (edited) I think that girl gamers who are actually into games of all types AND somewhat good looking are few and far between. Morgan Webb, ya there? Anyway, there aren't many who play the RPGs and the Fighters, but many who play DDR. I once met a girl who owned House of the Dead 2 and a Dreamcast... She is called my X. Juniel Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 Like I said b4...girls tend to enjoy chatting and exchanging photos online more often.....Period!
Diso Posted February 4, 2004 Author Posted February 4, 2004 Most girls do but they still know what the hell most games are about. Girl gamers = Deadly because they're better than most people
Jiggs Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 I can honestly say that I have never encountered a girl gamer face to face.
Mag Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 Ahh de ja vu all over again ok.. maybe u guys didnt know.. I have posted this in A@H a very long time ago. Back then, my gf was a hardcore gamer as much as Iam, met her at an arcade tournament, although she didnt compete, but I did talk with her, next thing u know, she call me serveraly, now after 2 years.. she has moved away with her family and i never ever see her again We have great times together, she even kick my ass in some games such as in (street fighter 3rd strike), and in alpha. seriously.. I did not let her win or try to let her win but I do go easy on her in console games sometime, and we had great times. you know its very rare nowadays to meet female gamers, you might see em alot over the net, but not all of em are actually female behind the nickname or alter ego identity

Gryph Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 Ok Here talk about girl gamers here lol. Yes I dont care about starting weird odd threads. They're my specialty Hehe nice one Dis.
Gryph Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 When I was in college in Kansas City, I converted two girls into playing Counter Strike. One got pretty good but the other still sucked. They only played the game because I rallied all of the guys to play it to. Nothing like a 16 player LAN game where only me and my roommate are the best! The girls I know don't play games, but are sympathetic to the gaming cause.
montpics Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 Like I said b4...girls tend to enjoy chatting and exchanging photos online more often.....Period! Very true. Speaking of this topic, I met a teenage girl at Cybercafe playing Counter-Strike along with other 15 teenage boys. 1 girl vs 15 boys! Guess what, she was really expert until no one could or hardly compete with her especially with a sniper she mostly used throughout the period. Any guys could get 'killed' instantly in a matter of seconds! One of the hardcore gamer, I said.
Wizard Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 You should see tha LAN's that have girl gamers competing in. Such event's include;CPL Summer/Winter ( MISFIT GIRL IS TEH HALO QUEEN )QuakeCon ( Hellchick kicked my ass in a Q3 in a fans vs staff match )WCG Canada/USA/Europe/Japan/Korea Also Online;CAL-CSCAL-DCTWL-CoDTWL-CSUSG-CSClanBase-Quake3 Insane isnt it? I've pugged with Misfit Girl yesterday for Call of Duty, shes better then me, and it was her first time, HER FIRST TIME!
