lins Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 BP, you're doing a great job with Coinops! thanks!I have one question: i have a lot of Super Mario World (SNES) hacks and they aren't in the list of coinops. Is there anyway i add them?
BritneysPAIRS Posted April 24, 2010 Author Posted April 24, 2010 nope not at present....thats why people needed to beta test it and give me the names...I added over 50 import or hacks that where not in the xtras list...
BritneysPAIRS Posted April 25, 2010 Author Posted April 25, 2010 STARTING TESTS for Showroom tonight "AKA showcase 2.0"
Neo369 Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 hey bp, did you see my questions from a couple posts back?
BritneysPAIRS Posted April 25, 2010 Author Posted April 25, 2010 you can remove the xbes if you wish Neo369 it will save you about 20megs id say just dont try and launch any console or handled games or it will only reboot autofires locked to thumbs...and havent looked at bubble booble ill be back to mame stuff at some point im sure
Neo369 Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 (edited) and for the autofire thing?edit: nevermind didnt read the whole postedit 2: lol "bubble booble" Edited April 25, 2010 by Neo369
Zhoul Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 and for the autofire thing?edit: nevermind didnt read the whole postedit 2: lol "bubble booble"If BritneysPAIRS gets around to adding the feature that lets us lock .XML settings for each game, you *should* be able to set auto fire for the games that need it without having to mess with it again. Would this be an acceptable workaround for you?

BritneysPAIRS Posted April 25, 2010 Author Posted April 25, 2010 use hk 128 version it has the kind of autofire you will like..you can set it up via the ingame osd

IIRC, hk's last release is quite dated. What if he wants auto fire in Boogie Wings? Is that game even compatible with hk 128? Pixel perfect mode isn't there either, which means he'd be stuck playing games with unnecessary blur.
BritneysPAIRS Posted April 25, 2010 Author Posted April 25, 2010 oh well its coded for the normal user not special occassion types of user so I wont be putting this in...the click buttons are the perfect place to put this feature....I tried a few other types of autofire including like hk just copying it from mame32 sources but I didnt like it done like this so I rethought about how I wanted autofire in and for me its exactly how I want it to work
BritneysPAIRS Posted April 25, 2010 Author Posted April 25, 2010 no hidef...no autoroation...so much is missing...... but he will get history.dat

Seriously. I totally understand releasing CoinOPS with your preferred defaults (they're fine I think), but not everyone uses an Xbox controller to play arcade games. I myself own a HRAP and a Magic Box. The HRAP and Saturn controllers are far superior to the stock Xbox controllers, imo. So is Neo's setup. I imagine also that he prefers to use CoinOPS over the dated hk release which is a compliment to the hard work you've put in it. It's just that you label everyone else normal users, when the truth of the matter is that there are plenty of users who own high quality controllers that they'd like to use with CoinOPS.
