Let's Go to Prison

 

Great little comedy with Will Arnett of Arrested Development fame. A nice mixture of brutal/subtle jokes which doesn't fade away like 95% of other comedies.

 

The Lost Weekend

 

Pretty much the polar opposite of the above. Portrayal of an alcoholic in forties America. Oscar-winning performance from Ray Milland. Sort of depressing, but gripping too and ultimately uplifting.

I don't recommend this movie on a full stomach. It really wasn't my kind of movie.

 

Not only is it Rated R, but there's just a lot of scenes that are not really good to hear or watch at any age.

 

Other than that, Van Damme's acting is certainly a lot better in his more recent movies.

Was in a bit of a Leslie Nielsen mood. Dug out Repossessed and Spy Hard. Neither that great but a few laughs.

 

Topped it off with some classic sci-fi, again with Mr Nielsen, Forbidden Planet. Yes, a bit dated, but still a good show.
