exactly! well put. im probably the last person to turn to god myself, in times of crisis, but cr@p like this, for damn sure, would be the last place i would go. so, ofcourse, he practically says it straight out. he speaks of it like its a game show or something. definately a scam.

Link not allowed - Diso i had forgotten about this site altogether. i found it today while browsing through my favorites in ie. they have a nice bit of neogeo roms here and downloads are pretty fast. i clocked them at well over 150kbps on my dsl connection. have fun.

its called 7-zip Archiver. its like a year old, but still kinda new. ive never used it myself, i will probably soon when i have something dramatic to test it on, but my friend has used it. with his full set of nes roms, about 1.7gb, using this software, he compressed it down to 230mb. not bad in my opinion. if anyone is intrested, here is a download link : http://download.com.com/3001-2250-4451375.html if anyone gets a chance to test it before me, maybe they could post there results in this thread. thanks in advance.

good stuff man! i totally agree with you. even though i have been a member of many forums myself, i never really cared for them all that much. until, that is, i became a member of emulforums. the stuff you are talking about at A@H has really developed alot quite recently over there i have noticed. i rarely post over there anymore. i just basically browse the board incase i see something worth responding to. but anyway, im glad to see you have chosen us over them. maybe, the "select few" you are speaking of, will soon be led here aswell.

i do, also, realize this. it is this sort of mentality which filters into the programing itself, and it is part of the reason that i dont watch tv, listen to the radio etc. i have a friend that had her own public service radio show for recovering alcoholics. even though the radio station wasnt suppose to, they put a commercial break in the middle of her show. that isnt so bad, but to top it off, they were beer commercials. after a while, she got sick of it and started to delete the beer ads out of the line up. 2 weeks later, she was let go. she was told her show wasnt "hip" enough, but everyone knew the real reason. lol. in conclusion, the commercials were more important to the station than the show. but really, the basic reason for me not watching tv and all is the programing itself. maybe people find it entertaining, but i find most of it repulsive and mean spirited. i can go on forever on why this is, but it would open up a great larger field of debate, which i dont have the time at present to cover.

yah, ive heard of them. i have friends who listen to them i think. i myself, have always thought of them as kind of like the "gwar" of the rap world. you know, cause they are not really to be taken too seriously. i actually went to a couple of their shows a few years back. but it was only to beat the hell out of posers in the mosh pit.

we can make guesses and pretend to know but at the end of the day, that is exactly what we are doing, guessing. i do agree with the idea of the universe constantly changing and growing. it must change, for if it would ever stop, i think it would cease to exist altogether. as for the site, it's bull. ive read made up junk before, and that is exactly what this is. i think ive even read something similar before, sounds way too familar to me. but anyway, if there are aliens out there, i do not beleive they would want to waste there time on us.

yah, both 1 & 2 are out. they are emulated on the u64 emulator, which was just updated not too long ago actually. there are many places to get the rom sets from just do a little search on google for them. when i have a chance, i'll give you the address of a site which carries them. ps- yah, this should be in the arcade section or request section of the forum, but you didnt hurt my feelings putting it in here.

i agree. but i dont think that this just stops with video games alone, we see this everywhere, in movies, tv, music etc. all sparkle and glitter, but no depth. maybe someday, our crys will be load enough for all the developers, designers, movie directors etc, and they will realize that this is not what we want. but untill then, they will keep on doing what they do, because they really dont know any better im afraid.

i know absolutely nothing about them. one thing i promised myself, i would never get a cell phone. no offense, but most people with cells tick me off. they always have them cramed in their ears 24/7, espesially while driving, that REALLY ticks me off. as if people werent bad enough drivers, they have to have cell phones on top of that aswell. i know they have handless sets for them, but no one uses those. in america, they are thinking of outlawing using cell phones while driving. if they do this, i will be a very happy man. ps- i have to admit, it does look pretty cool though. it would be nice, if someday, we could have just one device for all our needs, a phone, instant messager, date book, tv, mp3 player, handheld gaming console etc etc, instead of one for each. it becomes too many things to carry around with you, you know? i see this slowly happening. but nothing, i dont think, has really developed that is too exciting. at least, nothing that would make you put down your gba and pick up a nokia instead. maybe nintendo will put out their next handheld with all these capabilities rolled into one. maybe them and nokia could join forces or something. maybe someday...

same here man. everything is a scam. i myself, try to be "more" positive and trusting of others, but i just cant get past it. it is just the way i was raised. this also sounds really familiar to me aswell. i think that was probably the first thing i sensed about it.

i think they are still a distraction from everyday life. whether thats good or bad, strictly depends on the reason or what the person is trying to get away from. whether in 2d or 3d, it serves the same purpose, i think. most games, the ones ive come accross anyway, give you an experiance inwhich you cant find in the "real world". how else would you be able to get the chance to, say, race in the gran prix, slay dragons or fly a starfighter whenever you feel the need. now say, if they came out with a game that involved going to the store to pick up milk, or cliping my toe nails, then i'd have to say thats going a bit too far. dont you agree? just because "it seems more real", doesnt mean it "is real". anyway, thats what i think.

i know the type. some little x-file fan boy, with "the truth is out there" printed accross his shirt, with nothing better to do than right some lame story, for who knows what reason. you'd think, with all the porn on the internet, that he'd be able to entertain himself otherwise.

a while back, i posted a bunch of links for this rom that i found on filemirrors.com. check the "mame" section. i think all of them run on nrx actually, except for the last one i posted, which runs on WinKawaks.

whatever you do, make sure you get a card that supports T&L. i forget what it stands for, tecture and lighting i think, but most games coming out now, pc games i mean, require such a card in order to be played. for example, spiderman the movie and lord of the rings.

you got it! actually, to be quite honest, i didnt even know who they were till emsley told me. the way he said they were pushing him around, i said they sounded to me like the mob. now them ive heard of. aol sucks!! $30 bucks a month for dial up. i pay just $45 now for my dsl.

jeez! you guys have to pay for a license to watch tv?? good lord, its a tv, not a car. what are they thinkin? that's crazy. still, i would probably pay money, if i meant i didnt have to suffer through the commercials.

yah, they said he was staying online too long. and i think "they" dropped him. so, i dont beleave he has the choice of whether or not to stay with them. personally, i think he is better off.
