took it about ten seconds for me. alot of things come into play when talking about the speed of a dsl, cable connection, etc. for example, how many people in your area are getting the same dsl service as you? if its a low number, then your connection can be pretty fast. next, how close are you to where your local providers network is based? if you are close, like me, then this could also allow your connection to be good aswell. those are the two big ones that could be the diferance between a slow connection and a fast one. a more obvious one is what kind of high speed plan you get. most providers offer different grades with varying amounts of upstream and downstream. ofcourse there is a differance in cost. it just depends on which one suits your needs, and your wallet, the best.

this is true, but it isnt like you would be sharring secret military codes or something. i think basically what he is trying to point out is we cannot have things of an "adult" nature posted "out in the open" for everyone and their mom to see. web hosts have rules that must be followed or they could kick gamecop's account. there for, even if he wanted to, his hands are kind of tied.

yah, im from the south(southern united states) so old cars are in my blood. i definately love the classics. i was restoring an old ford with some buddies, but we had to sell it before we finished. hopefully i'll get another chance in the future.

tell me about it. i was sooo mifted when i saw that they had gone down. it seemed i lost all my sites at once. hopefully some of the others will come back as well. although, edgeemu's trouble was with their server, not the idsa.

to be honest, i think we have enough sections already on the board. not that it is really a bad idea, but personally, i think if we are to have anymore sections added, they should, at least in some way, be related to emulation and/or video gaming. thats my final opinion on the subject.

i like. dont know what it has to do with emulation though , but it still pretty cool. the only thing is, in the first one, i can kind of see her mu__, well, you know. i dont know how gamecop is going to feel about that aswell. i guess we'll soon find out. ps-anyone ever hear of boris vallejo? he's a classic fantasy artist. my absolute favorite of all time. he is the reason for me getting into painting and illustration in the first place. if anyone has a chance, i highly recomend checking him out. he has many fan sites on the net aswell as many books that display his work.

perhaps it would be conveient, to have such a section, but there are ways to work around the pg13 restrictions on the board, via pm etc. it is an intresting idea though. we'll have to see what gamecop thinks about it.
