i know what you mean dude. console adaptions of arcade games are always a disappointment. i too was soooo excited when i found that killer instinct (the arcade version) had been emulated. WoooooHooooooo!!!!!!!! i must a played that game for a week straight, without stopping. and then part 2, WoooooHooooo!!!!!!! again. the only downside, is having to play them both with a gamepad, instead of on an arcade control panel. i definatelly have to make an upgrade there. i also loved the whole streetfighter vs series, and marvel vs capcom. those games would make my top list.

dude, those games sound awesome. i actually saw a review for pickmin on tv, it looked kinda cool, with the little alien guys you have to collect so they can help you rebuild your space ship, i think that is how the story goes. anyway, it looked cool. i'll do a search on the games you mention in order to get screenshots and stuff. thanks for the help man. now i am definately getting a gamecube. probably around this christmas.

that game looks real fun in the commercial. even though, you really cant trust what you see on tv, i was thinking of getting a gamecube just because of it. are there any other games you recommend for this system that would make the gc worth buying? :D

yah, dude, tell me about it. its crazy how much the scene has grown just in popularity alone. forgive me for using another forum as an example, but, lets say for instance, the A@H forums. ive personally been a member there for a few years now, and i remember going there and finding myself all alone. now, there's like, a million people there 24/7. but, anyway, i think its just going to keep on growing. now, is this a good thing? some say no, some say yes. the more people that enter the scene, the faster things will move along i think. meaning, more emulated systems, previously nonexistent, and so on. but also, the more people, the bigger the risk of it all maybe coming to an end. i, personally, dont think that could or will happen. you know what they say, "Good things never die." eventually, the ps2, then maybe the x-box, and who knows, maybe in a gallaxy far far away, the gamecube may become emulated aswell. it will just take time, which i think is on our side.:cool:

looks like we have some fellow musicians in the audiance. i, myself, played the drums in about 5 different bands throughout my life. i think i learned how to play when i was like, 10, i think. i also learned to play the guitar, but i never really liked it all that much. playing the drums is alot of hard work though, you get all sweaty and tired as hell after every show. i dont play in a band anymore cause i dont really have the time, plus at this point in my life, i want to pursue other interests. like, sitting on my butt and playing video games.

then why have a rom request section at all? by your logic we would then just put nes rom requests in the nes section, mame requests in the mame section, etc. what then, would that leave to put in the rom request section? dont you see what i mean??

besides play video games, i'd have to say fishing. im an old sea dog at heart. also, i earn my living as a portrait artist, and i like to do that as much as possable. oh, and i LOVE to play hockey. next to my art, hockey is my passion in life. luckily, i still have all my teeth.:cool:

that would be pretty sweet if something like that existed. i'm not saying it doesn't, mind you, i've just never heard of such a thing before. i will see if i can find anything of the sort.

the only thing you can do is keep going. if this was an act of terrorism against this site, let's not give them the satifaction of beleiving they were successful in their attempt. let's just do our best to carry on, and to keep posting. cause, with a little work, we will have this site back to it's old self, maybe even better.

that's a good idea. unless it was an accident, i dont think it was any of the mods who visit on a regular basis.
