  1. Since youy have a PAL DC and of course must live in europe, you should be getting an RGB scart cable, that will give by far the best picture quality.
  2. At the beginning of the game, did you select 50 or 60hz? If the hz is the problem 50hz should work fine, try it.
  3. An AR 5-in-1 will cost you about 25 bucks on ebay. It's well worth it though, since you won't have to convert any regions, you get extra memory storage (which you will need), the AR of course and most importantly the extra RAM to play all the 2D fighters. It's a must have for every saturn owner. I would recommend you buy a model 2 saturn and mod it though, because swapping is annoying. But if you're going to stick with this, SegaXtreme has some good info on how to do the swaptrick.
  4. I don't think this burning thing is for you really. Why don't you simply buy the game? It won't cost you more than maybe 5 or 10 USD....just a thought.
  5. They're all exactly the same size because they are supposed to be. The person who compressed it let winrar split the file in lot's of pieces, putting in a exact number. All the files are that size except the last one. It's not mysterious, it's always like that.
  6. It's basically deathmatch with planes. It's nice, but seeing how it was meant for online it's not that great. Maybe it'll be fun in multiplayer, I haven't tried it yet.
  7. You already have a topic for this, no need to make a new one. Now, as far as I know there's only 1 Codebreaker released for DC and that doesn't work with burned games. So, I would advise you to get a Gameshark or Action Replay instead. I have both of those on share on Direct Connect in this hub: romsterhub.ath.cx They're both only a few kb so go there and download them from me and forget about codebreaker if you want to use burned games.
  8. Don't buy backups, it's a waste of money.
  9. What's the point of system link for a fighting game? Both tv's will display the same image.... Edit: This is very cool news though, now I will have to find a saturn pad converter for xbox...but I don't think they exist .
  10. I used to have the PC version a while back, but it's quite horrible, so I deleted it. If you really want to play KoF 99 for some reason you're much better off with the ROM.
  11. For SF3 DI download the release with these names: wbs-sf3di.xxx. It's selfboot. For Rayman, learn to selfboot your games or just swap. The time you have spent now searching for selfboot versions/bootkits is already much more than the cumulative time will you spent swapping with a bootdisc . Seriously, it takes maybe 30 seconds extra.....
  12. Just for clarity, there's 2 KoF 99's on DC: -KoF 99 Dream-Match (this is in fact KoF 98) -KoF 99 Evolution (KoF 99 with some added features)
  13. I finally fot around to doing this, or rather i was forced to because my last DC died, and it worked great! I can't believe something this simple revived my DC . Tomorrow I'll do my 3 other dead DC's, I can't remember what the problem with them was, but I think it was similar to the one I fixed. Thanks Shiba.
  14. That one is cheap, but low quality. If you are going to use it for fighting games I wouldn't buy it. The official Sega Agetec stick is very good quality however, it will last for years and years. Yes, the stick base is a square which takes getting used to, I didn't like it at first, but if you keep playing with it you won't even notice after a while. I even saw some japanese Street Fighter 3 tournaments in which all the players used that stick. Lik Sang has it listed but it's out of stock though .
  15. Great news! I was sad when I heard they had canned it but it seems I will get to play it after all then . Insert Credit has a nice feature on Outrun 2 btw.
  16. No there are not, please don't spread false information. Anyway, you can buy chips at Jandaman. I bought mine there and he shipped it to the Netherlands in about 1.5 weeks. The guy has great service, he knows a lot and will help you if you have problems. Other than that, all technical info can be found at Segaxtreme like Spider said. One thing you have to be mindfull of when you buy a chip is that you need a model 2 saturn (model 2 has round buttons, model 1 oval). There are no longer chips being made for model 1 saturns.
  17. How's Winning Eleven? Does it have good speed (most important) Any graphics errors? Good sound?
  18. Excellent game, but it's REALLY hard. Trust me. But it has cool gameplay and cool music and there's lot's of humor in it. I say buy it though, it's like all over the place for 2 bucks at most (atleast here it is).
  19. Oh ok I read that wrong, I thought you meant they were automatically selfboot. But utopia 1.2 adds VGA compatibity and will boot all VGA compatible non-selfboot games in VGA mode.
  20. No, I don't think that's a rule. Sega Rally 2 is not selfboot I think. Anyway I should learn selfboot sometime, can't be that hard and bin2boot is not reliable enough. But I think making a game selfboot does add to it's size, so a huge game can not be made selfboot unless you downsample/rip out something. I'm not 100% sure about this so correct me if I'm wrong. On the other hand, I never really understood what all the fuss is about, I don't mind booting up a bootdisc, it takes like 30 seconds longer. And I like the reindeer .
  21. My philosophy is that everything that is in the game should be used in the most effective way to win. In a good game there is always an answer to every tactic, if you are tired of getting thrown in KOF games think of a tactic that will prevent it. If a game does not offer any chance of countering a certain move/tactic then it's a bad game and not worthy of being played. There is no such thing as cheap in a good game.
  22. That's why everyone should share original releases rather than repacks .
