  1. A good initiative, I'm folding for your team Gryph. I'll install it on my other pc as well .
  2. Who has xbox live and wants to play some games with me? I get tired of playing against random people. I have Top Spin, PGR2 and some others but Top Spin and PGR2 are my favourites. I also have PSO but I'm not sure if I want to activate my 60 free days yet because that's all I will get. My live name is ENAS (yes, some bastard took Sane ).
  3. Yeah default is perfect for making images, and for burning it doesn;t matter at all because the settings are in fact in the CDI file, it tells DJ how to burn it.
  4. If you try to copy an original game you're out of luck since PC drives can't read GD-Roms. If it's a backup, use Discjuggler 3.5 to make an image of it and then burn that, don't copy on the fly.
  5. Why be a Sony fanboy? Sony doesn't even make games, well except the GT series, they just make the hardware and market it. It's like rooting for Intel because you can run your favourite programs with the chips they make .
  6. Well the RGB patch is probably for the original release of the game which was probably a CDI image. So I'm really not sure if it will work or not. I say try it out, a cdr isn't that expensive . If it doesn't work you can download a working one from me in romsterhub.ath.cx on Direct Connect. I won't be there today but I will be tomorrow.
  7. I second Project Justice, really cool game. Here are some screenshots. If you get the japanese version you can even make your own characters, but the US/PAL one has 'secrect students' instead of that.
  8. I think you're confused with Grandia 2, Skies original is 2 GD-ROMS and both have game data. There's no soundtrack included. The rip was done by compressing a lot of data, it was a new method thought up by Echelon who were to first to rip this game properly. Before that some groups tried making into 4 cd's but none of those rips were any good.
  9. There's no need to fix anything if you want to play US or JAP backups on a pal DC, the only thing you can do is patch it to run in 60hz as not all games will do that by default, but all US and JAP games will work normally on PAL Dc's. A few exceptions are there of course, like SFIII which needs an RGB fix. However if you would use an RF or normal AV cable with it it would also work fine, RGB fix is only needed if you use scart.
  10. No, if the game boots up and you only hear sound then it's burned fine. It also has nothing to do with the fact that it's a PAL DC, because if it was a problem with a weak laser then it wouldn't boot at all. It's a problem with the RGB signal. In fact, all you need to do is download this RGB fix patch and apply it with PPF-O-Matic and you'll have a fully working game.
  11. Why not? You're banned? idk, it never tells me I am. I just try to go in and it says "connection timeout" or something Whuden's HD with the hub on it was destroyed by a virus.....so we had some downtime . Everything's up and running again now. Btw Weird, if the max number of hubs rule is really a problem we can make an exception for you.
  12. ROMSTER of course (romsterhub.ath.cx) And I used to go to classicsega a lot but there's not much left for me to dld there, so I only go every now and then.
  13. SMS, Saturn and DC each not only were, but still are amazing consoles with a great lineup of games on them. I think you meant to say that you didn't really enjoy the games that were released for them, for which I pity you . Anyway, if anybody can be blamed for bad marketing it's Sega, Nintendo is actually much better at it.
  14. It's pretty much doomed to fail, I doubt even a professional developer could successfully port GTA3 to DC. I'd rather have they would make some new games like the recently released Giana's Return, GTA isn't all that great anyway and if I really wanted to play it I'd buy a PS2 or get it for Xbox or PC. I say give me more sidescrollers .
  15. If you like Diablo style RPG's you could give Record of Lodoss War a try, it's a really cool game.
  16. Well it's a 2 disc game, like the original one. At the end of disc 1 you save the game and put in disc 2 and press coninue. However I had a problem with this because disc 2 would not load my save file for some reason. I think this was a bug or something because I never heard other people complain about it so it should work fine for you..... Anyway if it doesn't you can always do what I did and buy the game .
  17. I hope they will release a new version soon that fixes the collision detection and makes the control a tiny bit more responsive. Some stages are just too frustrating right now (the bouncing balls are driving me nuts ).
  18. Yeah I'm gonna check the HDD first, I think that causes it somehow since this all started after I put that thing in. And I'm kinda scared to flash the bios, I did that once when I first got a PC. There was a cd with it with a link to a page where you could update the bios, so I thought 'cool, I'll so that'. But something wnet wrong and the entire thing stopped working, like I turned on the pc and it did nothing at all even though the power was on. Had to buy a new mobo then .
  19. The forum is great, you could improve on the stickies though. Let someone go through them all and filter out the dated and useless stuff. There's way too many stickies which prevents them from being usefull.
  20. Alright, thanks for the advice people. I knew about the bios thing, but I didn't think it would actually cause the pc to freeze, just that it would recognize not all the space on the HDD. I'll try disconnecting the HDD to see if it still freezes. Silly question, what key do I hold to boot up in safe mode?
  21. I got a new 120GB hard drive 2 days ago for some extra storage. I really suck at everything to do with the insides of a PC so I had the store put it in for me. I run windows 98 se so I used fdisk to make a new partition and to format the drive. During the format my power supply was starting to smell and it got half burned but it still worked. Power supply was replaced and everything seemed ok again. However now my PC keeps freezing up after a few minutes. It freezes up almost instantly when I try to access 'my computer'. Atleast windows does, when it freezes the mouse cursor can still be moved and cd and dvd drives can still be openend and closed but that's it. I thought it may had to do with the new drive so i removed the partition, made a new one and formatted it again but it didn't help. I need to know what could cause the freezing. Could it be the new drive, perhaps not correctly installed? Or maybe my processor is near dead? I want to know some opinions so I don't get ripped off when I take it to the store to get it fixed. My PC is a 1ghz celeron with MSI motherboard running windows 98 se. Also, I noticed during fdisk that the drive was only recognized as 50GB, but in windows it shows the correct size, this has to do with the bios as I understand it, but I don't think this could cause the freezing right?
  22. Technically speaking the DC port os SF III: TS is not arcade perfect, it misses a few frames here and there.....or so people say. Who cares really? It looks and plays beautifully. About the controller, yes the DC controller stinks for Street Fighter games, so does the psx pad and so does the xbox pad. Not only are the d-pads not ideal for the moves (although the DC's one is best) but most importantly, they only have 4 face buttons (yes xbox has more but they're not placed nicely for a good street fighter setup). Do as I did, buy a saturn pad converter for DC, it's the best way to go for people who don't have/can't play with (like me ) arcade sticks. About the port itself, that is only a good thing of course. A good game should be on as many platforms as possible so everyone can enjoy it. I never understood that silly it-should-stay-exclusive mentality, but I guess I'm oldfashioned .
  23. Nice selection, but they're pretty expensive . You need any games in particular?
  24. Yeah that's true. So what are the best ones you think? It's been a while since I burned any homebrew stuff. The only thing that I really want is C64 emulation on DC, then I'll be happy .
