  1. romsterhub,.ath.cx only has a 200mb minimum, gotta be roms or iso's though.
  2. Text translation is always good, the voices however should be left in their original state I think, the japanese voice actors are simply excellent. I never liked the US dub of SC5 anyway, I actually bought the japanese version of part 1 for the voices .
  3. Hmmm I want to get one too, does everyone agree the GBA EZFlash Advance 256mbit Devkit is the best one available from jandaman? Also, it doesn't say if it supports the GBA player for GC, anyone know this?
  4. It's fun as a party game with 4 players but single player is not much fun, Powerstone 1 is better for that and 1 on 1 vs play.
  5. When I said it worked perfect I meant for saturn pads . I only use it for saturn pads, my DC arcade stick and I use PSX pads in case I want to play a game that needs analogue control. I think the thing with the triggers and the stick for the DC pad may only happen on my pc though (they do work, just really shaky and inaccurate, making it unplayable), I never heard any other people complaining about it. Anyway, it's not like you have a choice in the matter, it's the only converter that actually supports DC pads. Maybe now that DC emulation is finally here they will make more converters with DC pad support though.
  6. Hmm...I might get that for my Dreamcast controllers. I'll be needing it for GGXX #Reload. Just know that the analogue support for the DC pad is not good at all, the d-pad and buttons work fine, but the analogue stick and triggers don't.
  7. Man I completely missed your post . I will add you to my list (once I figure out how). I've been playing PGR2 the last few days and it's really great. The community is pretty good actually, lot's of normal people online always who just want to have some good races. If you haven't got it yet I recommend you pick it up if you see it somewhere, I bought my copy for 25 euro pre-owned a while ago so it shouldn't cost that much.
  8. I've been using this for ages now, works perfectly.
  9. They better not give us dutch people that version....or I will have to import again .
  10. I haven't seen any bugs, the controls are standard fps controls and it runs really smooth on my not-really-high-end system. Anyway, this game is great, normally I don't play FPS that much but this is great oldschool fun. Highly recommended if you like shooting everything that moves and fighting insanely huge bosses with heavy metal music in the beackbround .
  11. As far as I know there's no such thing as a Rival Schools 3. Anyway, I could list more than a 100 excellent DC games, but I'm too lazy, instead go look on this site to get some good ideas. There's also Garou: Mark of the wolves, Twinkle Star Sprites and Cool Cool Toon (not a port but still an SNK game).
  12. I think this is a problem with Windows XP, check the Magic Engine forums for more details. You can also try using a different sytem card, either the builtin Magic Engine things or the real sytem cards. And lastly, you can check the cue file on how it lists the audio. If it lists it in mp3 you can try to change the cue so it lists wav files instead and then convert all the mp3's to wav. Try testing the results with daemon tools so you won't waste any cd's.
  13. Since we joined the Emu Network Gamecop has been kind enough to give a place on his forum here on 1emulation. We don't have our own site though, I'd make one but no one would visit it anyway.
  14. Just thought I'd spam romster's adress again romsterhub.ath.cx We have many sega CD, PCE CD and Neo Geo CD stuff and also saturn etc. In general the files on offer in a hub depend on the people in it, anyone can usually share what they want within the rules of the hub. All the hubs in the Network of this site (see the DC hubs section on this forum) are good for these types of files since they are all emulation related.
  15. The region of ripped games does not matter at all, it's probably something that went wrong burning it, or the game is not selfboot in which case you have to boot it up with a Utopia bootdisc or it will play in the DC as an audio cd. Try to burn images with the program they are made with, in this case Nero. If that still doesn't work, download a proper release of the game.
  16. romsterhub.ath.cx I have the games on share and am always there.
  17. It's a selfextracting archive,.exe,.r00, r01.......r17. Just double click the exe and it will extract. I don't know why you only saw.r09 to r.17 though, PM me on DC++ if it stays like that.
  18. romsterhub.ath.cx We only have a 200mb minimum (must be uninstalled, compressed games). And yes I have all those games on share .
  19. .ngo? Don't you mean.nfo? That's not a part of the game, it's just a little text file with some info on the rip.
  20. Dynastic Hero is a really cool game, it's in fact Wonderboy in Monsterworld the genesis game with another name and some new sprites and music. I have the game on share, if you want it come to romsterhub.ath.cx on Direct Connect, pm me and i will give you a slot for it. Other good games are: -the Bonk games (ROM) -Dracula X (ISO) -Popful Mail (ISO) -Cosmic Fantasy (ISO) -Gates of Thunder/Lords of Thunder (ISO) -Sapphire (ISO) -Beyond Shadowgate (ISO) -Fausette Amour (ISO) -Y's Series (ISO) -Valis series (ISO) -Dungeon Explorer (ISO) -Rayxanber 2 and 3 And many other games I forget, the ROM's for the system are really small so just download a load of them and try them out. For the CD games, here are a few sites with reviews: http://www.videogamereviews.vg/turbo_cd.shtml http://www.fantasyanime.com/garden/cdrpgs.htm http://www.gamezero.com/team-0/final_word/nec.html
  21. Well the error you got indicates that there's something wrong with the cd you're trying to rip from, in which case there's not much you can do. In general you can rip backups with the default Discjuggler settings without problems. So try to rip another game and see if that works, if so you can be 100% sure the other cd is messed up. My advice would to simply download the game again.
  22. You got an error when making the image, it will not work at all.
  23. I never spent much time with Timestalkers, so I can't really comment on it. Evolution 1 and 2 on the other hand I have played. They are mildly entertaining, but they get rather tedious soon. There's no variety, there's 1 town from where you enter randomly generated dungeons (not sure if both parts had the random thing) with 10 floors or so which all look the same. When you get to the top you beat the boss and return to town to go through some small story stuff and then enter the next dungeon. That's about it. I wouldn't say they're really bad....but I would not recommend them, your time would be much better spend on other games. Oh and I forgot about Silver, another decent RPG with realtime battles. It's nothing fancy but I found it enjoyable. It has nice prerendered backgrounds and good voice acting. The battle system is interesting, you perform moves by holding a button and pressing a direction on the control stick.
  24. Realistic graphics? As in realistic character design? If that's what you mean then there's only Shenmue, which is not an FF type turnbased RPG, but it IS a roleplaying game. Other recommendable games are: Skies of Arcadia and Grandia 2. Both great turnbased RPG's, must have's for any DC ownner. Elemental Gimmick Gear. A 2D Snes type action RPG, very cool and really hard. Record of Lodoss War. Diablo type game, also really cool. That's it for the good games, there's some others but personally I woul skip them.
  25. You think wrong. CvS pro is a sort of update/revision of the DC original (let's not mention the PSX game at all here, it makes me itch). Here's a list of changes (taken from a review on gamefaqs): - There are two new characters, Joe Higashi from Fatal Fury and Dan Hibiki from Street Fighter Alpha 2, who were added to this game, making the game having a total of 35 characters. - The Secret Store from the first CvS has been removed, considering the fact that all secrets are unlocked for you. From the hidden characters, EX characters, and other secrets are there for you. No more of those large amount of GPs that you are required to earn that takes months to get everything perfect. - Most of the insane juggle combos that were present in the original game are removed, a primary example such as Ryu's Shin Shoryuken cheap juggle, which will not juggle for full damage after the trip, but in fact for air counter damage only. You can still juggle off after the db+k move, though. - The Groove Point System is back. The glitches that raises the GP up quick have been fixed. You can still score a lot and fight Gouki if you constantly ram away with specials, with primary examples such as Morrigan Aensland, Nakoruru, and Joe Higashi. - You can now fight Orochi Iori and Evil Ryu if you do enough super finishes and gain at least 71 GP. Depending the groove you're in, it coincides who you will fight. Playing on Capcom groove you'll fight Evil Ryu, while playing on SNK Groove you'll fight Orichi Iori. - The Ratio System has changed. Lower Ratios will take more damage and inflict lesser damage on higher ratio characters, and vice versa. I personally think this kind of ratio system is much better to that of KoF2001. - The AI isn't that hard. I think it was SNK that programmed the AI. I remember SNK 2D fighting games are much easier compared to Capcom's. - There are also other changes such as green life bars rather than yellow previously. The SNK groove allows Desperation mode when you have 25% health left, unlike the KoF '97 & '98 Extra grooves, where it's only active at 10% health remaining. That doesn't mean that Capcom changed it.. it was also present in KoF'96 with a similar concept. The Capcom groove is the traditional SFA series groove. - Most of the features in gameplay come from SNK. SNK invented the full use of rolling, running, dashing, SNK groove, color edit, all of which gave Capcom a huge boost.
