There isn't even a release date set yet. Realistically, either buy an Asian/JP 360 and import it, or buy a Ketsui PCB. No older Cave shooters ever made it out of Japan, even at the peak of the PS2s power/user base. The only ultra-slim glimmer of hope is on the chance that it may be region-free, though this is again, 99% unlikely. Trust me, I'm as disappointed as anyone else. How many times I was on the verge of buying a supergun just to be able to play this (well a few others too).

Funny, I'm in the middle of watching the original trilogy in HD on my 360. Really though, I'm looking forward to the yet-to-be-confirmed KOTOR 3.

The more hours you play the more continues you unlock. I'm up to 12 hours so far, How much longer do I need to play? I remember in the original you 'earned' 1 continue for every hour of play. After 7 hours you unlocked infinite continues. If you just want to beat it it's preferable to only change colour when absolutely necessary. You should be able to get through the vast majority of the game as either black or white. I've always found continuing in these games futile anyway, I improve much much slower if I just keep continuing. Unless you actually want to just credit-feed your way to the end?

Ok, I started off a Google Spreadsheet here. Anyone can edit it as it stands. If anything happens to it I have a backup xls saved locally. I'm currently adding game names to match the zip files, and the list only includes the roms from the first Coinops as they are the bulk of them. Feel free to go and add/edit it

That's the thing. The 0.84 core doesn't support all the NeoGeo and CPS stuff, whereas FBAxxx does, and it handles some games better. It also has the 'moves' for most of the games which can be very useful, a record/replay function, the save states work perfectly, screen adjust, a load of filters, commands view etc. I'm not knocking CoinOps because I know you probably have the ability to add all those features I mentioned, I'm just saying that most people are already using 2 GUIs as it is. Hell, if you consider most folks are also emulating SNES, Genesis, NES, PSX etc, they are using maybe 10 or more GUIs anyway. As long as you still release CoinOps as a standalone, as well as one with all the roms, then I'm over the moon Btw, I think the Google spreadsheets was a good idea, then everyone will have access to it to make changes. A master copy could be saved elsewhere by a few people in case something happens to the online version. Hopefully it shouldn't take too long to go through all the roms that way, if everyone chips in.

Also, Dreamcasts are available for next to nothing nowadays. I picked one up off ebay, mint, for £30, and that was 5 years ago almost. They emulate themselves pretty well too Don't forget, you are 'missing out' on using an actual DC pad, with the oh-so-sute VMU, Fishing Rod, Light-Gun etc etc.

What about dumping the NeoGeo and CPS stuff that FBAxxx already does so well and just concentrate on the rest? Without those it will be well under 2 gigs and allow room for other stuff, like newer games and previews etc. We could all help out with keymapping etc too, nothing technical there.

In fact I've got an extensive setup with three 2.4 GHz receivers for wireless controllers at ports 1, 2 and 3 and an infrared dongle for the DVD remote at port 4. I was anxious to try out your recommendation - but I'm afraid it has nothing to do with the controllers. Things lock up at the same point of time even if only one classic wired controller is attached to port 1. I removed all my previous install leaving only the roms and screenshots folders. Then I went and removed the old TDATA/UDATA folders and made a clean install of CoinOps+. No roms would load at all. I went back into TDATA/UDATA and noticed some old folders from previous versions of Mameox/CoinOps etc like '4d414d45', while the new CoinOps is '4d414d49'. So I deleted all folders '4d414d4x' leaving only '4d414d49', went back into CoinOps and it all worked great. Why there would be any conflict there I don't know, maybe there wasn't and it was purely coincidental, but you could try it all the same if you too have those folders. Also, have you been able to use other versions of Mame at all. Mameox, Mamedox, Mameox128 etc? Just to try to rule some things out.

I'd be happy even if the 360 was hacked to allow more codecs to run. The limits imposed at the minute are stupid. Even with the Fall update it still won't play common codecs like Divx3 Low Motion, or any of the new .mkv files. Not to mention it only allows 2 channel stereo in mp4 files, so you can have HD video, but only 'old' stereo sound to go with it.

I have around 130 Xbox games and I'm not playing a single one of them! Well I did play a little Spongebob Squarepants : Battle for Bikini Bottom, but that was only because my daughter was stuck on one bit Oh and Harmful Park on PCSXbox, great little game

Bourne trilogy again, but this time in HD. Definately my favourite trio, I almost always end up watching all 3 once I watch Identity.

Yeah, I can't remember exactly why they were rejected but I was sickened. Especially considering some of the stuff they passed already. I didn't bother with Ikaruga or TE as I have played them to death on the Dreamcast. I might just grab them anyway for convenience. DOJ/Ketsui I would have bought at the drop of a hat though. RF being region locked isn't a good sign either, but it was to be expected. I missed your earlier post BK. Go ahead and add me, but I only have GTA and Halo 3 for online, and I can't abide Halo! I need a few more good online games.

I'm just going to grab the addon anyway. I mean, it's only £30 and most of the discs have dropped to £5, can't complain. Then I'll have the hybrid for ripping HD/BD discs and make them 360 compatible.

Will do. I just found a hybrid drive from LG, the LG GGW-H20L, which reads/writes to BD and reads from HD DVD. Which means I can still pick up the cheapo HD DVDs and Blu-ray stuff. Now I hope MS, or someone else, releases a BD addon for the 360.
