This error is very easy to fix, and if I remember correctly, it could be done though some of the menus in the emulator. I think RAM cartridge emulation is disabled by default and you need to enable it. Look around.

There was this one site that had an address very similar to Google's. Once you'd get to that site, it ran a nasty JavaScript code that tried to contact CoolWebSearch and install it if the user was using IE. It was pretty fun to watch that site spastically trying to contact CoolWebSearch over and over again, and failing in Firefox.

Best Game Ever. Ok, maybe that's a little severe, but Hitman does kick some serious ass. It's awesome but hard. Games that are too easy usually aren't so good though.

I think there are some multi-emulator frontends that have the features you speak of. Naturally, a frontend isn't an emulator, and MESS is currently the only emulator that tries to emulate computers and consoles in a single emulator.

Partition Magic can do a whole lot of stuff too, but of course, you need to install the OS first.
