  1. At least somebody agrees with me here. Don't get me wrong, I love KOF... But ever since SNK went under, the following KOFs were sort of like watered down versions of the SNK glory day's one. I mean seriously, have you looked at some of the sprites in the recent KOF games... It seems to me that Playmore hasn't really bothered to redesign some of the older characters sprites at all. --- Still, I've liked every KOF game out there... But I want to expect more from Playmore in terms of graphics and sound. Neo-Geo is, after all, one of the most powerful 2D-only systems out there. I want such graphics splendor in future games as in Garou... And sounds/music up-to-par with the hardware. --- Unlike someone posted here, 2D games (fighters, shooters, etc.) NEED to stay alive. I don't like to live in a world where ever single game is in 3D, even if they look superb. A perfected 2D game beats the most beautiful of 3D games any day, IMO. There's my 2 cents.
  2. Metal Slug 3 Garou: MOTW King of Fighters 2001/Last Blade 2(a tie) Blazing Star SNK Vs. Capcom Chaos/Samurai Shodown 5 (a tie again)
  3. The new characters are downright cool and the graphics are nice... The new control system made me a little disoriented, as now the D button acts as a "universal" dodge button. Also, the Fierce Slash = AB put me, as a gamer in and awkward position... And one final gripe: There is no storyline/intermission sequences when playing European/US versions. Japan version is much better, but I couldn't get blood in it. (Despite fiddling with the Soft Dip settings) All in all a very nice game. I'd give it a 9/10.
  4. Nebula is good, Kawaks is good and NeoRAGEx is good (hacked or not)... I use NeoRAGEx because Nebula and Kawaks don't work on my computer.
  5. I don't usually do introduction posts, but what the hell.... My name is Agozer and I've been keeping on eye on these forums for quite a while now. I have been in the emulation scene for about 5 years now and by far, Neo-Geo and the SNES are closest to my heart at the moment.
  6. Neo-Geo's Test Menu is your best friend when you need to change difficulty, language, etc.
  7. Just wait for the actual rom release and don't fret over corrupted graphics at this point
  8. Yes you are correct, we all must learn sometimes...But still judging for the multitudes of "how do I get this to work?" posts in the official SVC thread. I'm not trash talking or putting down anyone, at least not on purpose.
  9. My NeoRAGEx SVC works like a charm and has done so for quite a while now... Seriously, having seen that this board houses so many n00bs to Neo-Geo emulation, you're free to ask me anything related to NeoRAGEx. --- Sometimes I've had the feeling that the only person who knows something about emulating a Neo-Geo around here is either james or GameCop. Educate yourselves, people.
