  1. A pink DS rocks my socks. Bring souvenirs.
  2. It's not emulated. Where on CAESAR did you see pics of it?
  3. Final Fantasy VIII PAL doesn't work well in ePSXe. Why would you want PAL anyway?, get NTSC.
  4. I'm there, on the double, idling. Give me OPs omgplzkthx Just kidding.
  5. It gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling.
  6. A fine review, and it's was a nice move to use older Fire Emblem games as a comparision.
  7. Fixed. Plus it fits. We have a friendly dictator. Like Castro. Nice touch-up. To answer the original question, maybe this place is different because we aren't all n00b-hating emulation zealots.
  8. I will come in and play, and my clan will be the almighty Goatse Warriors.
  9. I haven't practie parrying almost at all. Need to devote more time when I get a good gamepad (or rather, a good USB --> PS2 adapter).
  10. I have to agree with most people who posted here, that 1Emulation doesn't have to be "part of the pack" (whatever that means). I also don't like the idea of this forums being close to a carbon copy of other emulation sites. Difference is the thing that makes the world go around. While 1Emulation rules make perfect sense, and I have no objections to the "no ROM requests" rule for obvious reasons. Other sites have rules that are totally unacceptable, like Robbbert said. In the midst of all this critique and the recent changes to this site, don't lose sight of your original ideas and ideals of what 1Emulation should be, and most importantly... let's try too hard to be like everybody else, since we'll be digging our own graves on the long run. Let's just be 1Emulation, The People's Emulation Site.
  11. It's not even worth pirating in by book.
  12. I'd wish Supermodel would eventually get publicly released, instead of just talk about developer WIPs.
  13. Yeah, most PAL games have the option to choose 60hz, but a lot of games are NTSC and when playing on a PAL machine, show black borders. It should be the other way around, but what would I know. NTSC games shouldn't show black borders. Black borders are caused by the TV, not the signal, of course developers can make it so that the black bars aren't there... but rarely do so, since it requires more coding.
  14. I thought most PAL gamers have accustomed to black borders already.
  15. Sega CD Universe has lots of screenshots.
  16. I don't know if this is what you ask but... Well, let's take a look at AMD Athlon 64 3000+ which runs at roughly 2010 Mhz. However, it's more or less equal to an Intel running at 3Ghz in terms of actual speed (hence 3000+).
  17. Christ, I've never seen people talk about eating this much on an emulation board... I go to sleep, and when I log back in, *poof* 4 new pages.
  18. Both are excellent. Seriously. The PSX remake of Eternal Blue is loads better than the original, while the remake of Silver Star Story is considered somewhat inferior to te original... nevertheless, I have both the remakes on the PSX and the originals on Sega CD. Remakes have better music, graphics and excellent FMV sequences + the remake of Silver Star Story comes with an extra "Making of" disc. I can say that the reason why the original Eternal Blue is weaker than the remake is the fact that it has random battles that happen too often (as opposed to visible enemies), and the save feature sucks big time. In terms of emulation, you should forget about the Saturn version. There are very good Sega CD emulators out there, but you might end up having troubles with those images because of separate CDDA tracks. ePSXe plays both games pretty well, although Silver Star Story requires some tweaking.
  19. Well, only a one person on GameFAQs has reviewed it, giving it a 6. Other than that, I've never played it nor have I found any screenshots.
  20. Yes. It only does ISOs. Of course, the Pro version might be another story. Nero can burn almost whatever images you throw at it, provided that you have proper CUE files. @Drake: Not necessarily, but I would bet that those are the best. You see, the darker the surface, and the burning lazer won't reflect back so easily, making a more dependable burn. And when the lazer doesn't reflect much during burn, there's also a smaller chance for errors in the burned data.
  21. You are roughly two weeks late.
  22. I use a free burning program called DeepBurner. Basically, the darker the CD-R's reflective surface, the better. I have a whole lot of PSX images, but I only play them via emulation, since I don't have a modded PS2... so I don't have a lot of experience in burning these games.
  23. One of the hardest games in existence. Difficulty borders on insanity.
  24. All I know is that some PSX/PS2 games (and console models) are *very* picky about the CD brand you burn the games on.
  25. PSXVideo, PSXPlay and PSXTulz. Check http://www.zophar.net/utilities/psxutil.html for those.
