I gave gogo the sources when i stopped (I made an update on the CVS server) but gogo didn't want to bother about updating roms so, since i was the one including the updated sets, when i left, there was no more up to date version of fbaxxx. sounds like you have the wrong sets, i suggest either you use djohng's current patch for fba-xxx 9-1 or wait till he releases his next version of a patch for the current fba-xxx.

theres no good free newsgroup server but if you want it for just for a certain amount of gigs, i suggest news.astraweb.com as they offer 25gb for $10, 65gb for $25, and 280gb for $100 and those can be used at anytime (not monthly) and give you full speed and 4 connections they also offer monthly service starting at $10 a month but since i already use my isp's ngs, i just pay for the $10 for 25gb to do fills for the incompletes my isp gives me heh

the problem is its a long playing mp3 (54min) and i'm not gonna listen to every song as its some i like.

well i get some mixtape releases the would come with a cue sheet and a single mp3 that would be around 71mb or so but heres the prob: whenever i burn a disc using the cue sheet, all i get is static on all tracks now this mix is 25 tracks and the mp3 works fine as is but being so long it would be annoying to burn it as is and ff thru the damn thing. i've used fireburner and cdrwin with the same results; nero locks up while trying to load the cue and alcohol 120% won't accept the cue file. anyone suggest any other apps that could burn this properly?

i use a xbe set a friend of mine released that uses CDX menu to choose between both games using only 1 dvdr; works fine from hdd for me. mod: X2.1 Lite Bios: X2 4983.06

actually you can use the SFV to check your files using an app called QuickSFV. comes in handy especially even if the pars are wrong

actaully thats the same emu thats been out before that called pgen. the maker of pgen basically made a deal with datel about doing such. snes isn't part of ar max as nintendo will take no part in it. another thing to note, the media player in the new ar max is also another app thats been used before it called ps2 reality media player

39001 is actually the easiest of ps2's to mod and considerd the best version to own (v7). the pstwo's currently have a prob thats simalar to v9/10 prob where the laser just dies out due to a voltage spike. theres a fix for this now so thats good but its not from sony hehe the best modchips out as of now are dms4, crystal, matrix infinity, dms3 and duo2. crystal and dms4 are the latest and have homebrew bios on them making them legal in some parts of the country but theres flash update for both that will allow playing imports and backups if thats what you want. both of these work on all ps2's including pstwo matrix and dms3 are just about the same mod wise and also work on all ps2's and pstwo but for ps2two sake they have to be flashed in order to work properly. both of these load backups/imports off bat duo2 is the cheapest and works on all ps2's but not pstwo as of yet. it doesn't have the extra features as the other mods i mentioned but it does backups/imports just fine. now i only suggest modding your own if you can solder tiny points as ps2 is far from a cake walk like ps1 or xbox modding.

actually they found a way to patch hd loader so you can use more then 131GB. also theres pc apps that you can add all the games you want and even format to ps2 type with the hdd in your pc. i suggest you get WINHIIP, great app as for choice on hdds, best to avoid wd hdds since they don't fit sony's network adapter unless you wanna hack it a bit to fit one. also best to use 7200rpm hdd as 5400rpm ones act weird in ps2 from my expereince (sly cooper 1 wouldn't work on my 5400 hdd but worked fine in my 7200 hdd) and plus you definitely see the speed difference if you use 7200rpm.

if memory serves me right, the latest fba-xxx makes a dat that you can use with either clrmame or romcenter. best to use romcenter and that dat to check your romsets.

well most of the xbl bans are based on the eeprom not matching the key as when you signed up to xbl. to make it simple: if you signed up for xbl when you had the original hdd but then went to a bigger hdd = ban but if you signed up to xbl with the bigger hdd, you should be ok.

yes its easy to open, just remove the rubbers on the bottom to see the screws. i just got my price on parts which came to a total of 26.50 which isn't bad (8 competition buttons 1 competition joystick and a nut wrench)

midway is still making blitz but won't be using nfl so i guess they'll go the tecmo bowl route hehe

i tried DS today and i gotta say that i didn't like it much. i was playing metroid demo and off bat the touch screen was either to sensitive or just really touchy as samus would act crazy if i did slight movements (from her circling arond to her just jumping for no reason). i'm holding out for psp for sure as i don't see much happening for ds yet more gba games still come out without a ds version.

oh god don't remind me, they still show that toon unfortunatly

fox x-men i do kinda miss and fox's spider-man a bit tho it could've been a lot better. wildcats i didn't care for much but i also remember savage dragon toon which was ok but not dark as the comic. i definitely miss classic transformers toon as todays tf just doesn't cut for me tho energon seems promising so far but none the less i got the tranformers dvd sets so i can always watch them i also miss batman toons (fox/wb) which makes me really wanna get the dvd set of it hehe
