Thanks for the help Fu & Kenshiro also should say it was awesome work you did on getting fba xxx up to date Kenshiro, the Neo Geo stuff reallly does run flawlessly. In fact I was playing SNKs own Arcade Classics collection on the PS2 the other night and in my opinion FBA runs the games far better

I just tested the NeoGeoCPS2.xbe

 

I thought this file just emulate NEOGEO and CPS2

 

yes he emule it but

 

when i choose a game, the emulator back to dashboard and when i launch it again, he play the rom i choosen !

 

strange lol

i have replace NeoGeoCPS2.xbe by default.xbe 11MB but same effect for CPS2 roms

i will try for NEOGEO tomorow

if you want final burn legends to just display neogeo,cps2,toaplan and so on just go into the options and use the filters to display toapln or neogeo or whatever.

or just put the roms for toaplan into one biuld of final burn legends and it will display just the toaplan...i dont know why you want it to launch using different default.xbes because like i said just put the roms for each manafacturer into different biulds and you are good to go.

also edit the default.xbe of each different biuld of fb legends to say toaplan or whatever so it will display that name on the dash.

it just seems like you are complicating things for yourself when there is such a simple solution.

When you don't have all of the .XBE files in the FBL folder, this is what happens. You'll get sent back to the dashboard before the start of any given game. The emulator having separate .XBE files seems to be a way that Nes6502 has chosen to optimize each core. It was a very good idea.

 

In my opinion, doing what fumanchu said in the previous post is the best way to go for you. There is no point in releasing several different FBL's with the way Nes has handled it. He's optimized each core and continues to do so.

Nes, I had a question regarding the Genesis emulation. Is the genesis emulator embedded into FBL or is FBL simply using the genesis emulator from the FBL GUI to launch the genesis roms??

 

My question is, would it be a simple matter for someone to add other emulator support within FBL?

FBL can emulate Mega Drive games because the PC version of Final Burn Alpha it was ported from can. FBL isn't acting as a frontend like CoinOps is.

Can someone tell me, which set of roms this runs? I want to get a complete set of everything that runs on this EMU but Im not sure exactly what all runs because it says its a port of Final Burn Alpha 2.99.07 to the Xbox and that It also includes

parts of FBA-XXX Pro 1.29. I didn't see anything in the file that had info on all the games that run....
