neoryu Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 (edited) Just curious, is anyone else keeping the clones + all regions or are you guys just keeping the game region from your country..ha Im just gonna keep it a FULL complete set..minus the genesis since I all ready got those on another emu.. Some game clones differ significantly between regions -- eg. there are some CPS2 roms which are censored and others which are not, for example. I plan to keep the full set from the final build of Kenshiro's FBAxxx Pro release. Collecting the rest of the 2700 games FBL supports will be fun. Edited November 22, 2009 by neoryu
NEIL222 Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 The newer unibios would be nice... Awesome emu though, can't say that enough.
cba.gy Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Right my daily moan. The rom select list looks untidy with the full rom names. ie region, version etc. We already have a display bar at the bottom with this info. Any chance of tidying the rom select list and keeping the full info at the bottom ? Or is it in the options and im just not finding it ?
Gilou9999 Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 no cba.gy,the rombrowser is fine like this,if you don't like the full name display, simply remove it from the gui option, and remove also the fullname bkgthe gui is very simillar with zsnexbox, so it should be easy for me to port my new fba skin to itin the past there where some great skins (made by neverwill that used the full name display bar greatly (mario or zelda skins)) for zsnexbox i have though a problem, when my rombrowser is true 720p (1280*720) i have always a white screen on the main menu (and i was carefull of the background size)when i will finish it i will send you my corrected skin nes6502

So it would say FroggerFroggerFrogger instead of Froger (Namco)Frogger (Bootleg)Frogger (Set 1) It's not a bad idea, but at this point it kind of negates even having the ROM list. I would have to look at the full name 100% of the time to know which version I was playing. Either the mainmenu.png or the rombrowser.png can be 1280x720. NOT both or you will run out of memory and get the white screen. The option.png must be 640x480 or some games won't work.
cba.gy Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 I see what your saying, you would be suprised how many users wouldn't bother with 3 versions of Frogger or multiple versions of any game. Myself included. Then of course we have the fact that a lot of the info doesnt fit anyway !
mirsad Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 (edited) I had a go at the emulator last night, its awesome and feels like zsnexbox which is great because I love that emu. I love how the video's on the title screen and the way screenshots is displayed for each game thats really cool, also I love the idea of viewing the history of each game. The icing on the cake would be having an option of viewing the history while on the rom browser screen and having an option of viewing the games flyer and you can zoom in and out, so you could see the original artwork of the game, would something like this be possible? An option to see the games flyer Also I noticed that Double Dragon 1 runs very choppy, but Double Dragon 2 runs very good but the volume is very low, is there a way of increasing the volume? Thanks again Edited November 22, 2009 by mirsad
111111 Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Awesome work everyone! Especially the psikyo stuff which runs super smooth now. Thanks so much. I love you guys long time!
ashtar5 Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 I just got this emulator last night. I haven't added roms yet but it looks great. Is this better than fbaxxxpro1.29c? I still have not decided on a FBA emulator to stick with. From the description it sounds like i should just stick with legends due to its hd features and compatibility. Will fullsets be released for this eventually? I never had a fba with 100% complete roms.
neoryu Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Found a bug: Forgotten Worlds (US) Forgotten Worlds (World) *Neither game has rotary dial controls for Player 2. The option to map "Turn up" and "Turn down" exists for Player 1 only in the control settings menu.
Cospefogo Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 I see what your saying, you would be suprised how many users wouldn't bother with 3 versions of Frogger or multiple versions of any game. Myself included. Then of course we have the fact that a lot of the info doesnt fit anyway ! I, myself, prefer to have just ONE version of each game.Matter of fact, I don't like to keep full romsets for my emulators.I remove all the useless games (specially sport ones) and all the alternative versions. I really don't liked to open my FBA-XXX and find out one hundred versions of Street Fighter games.Ha ha ha... But it is just a personal taste!Cospefogo.
neoryu Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 But there are a lot of purists out there who are more serious about collecting all the sets. And like I said, there are some significant differences between some of those clones that make them worth keeping. This is especially true for some CPS2 games. My personal opinion: I'd really like to keep the clones around. If the option to hide clone sets doesn't become available, then we can just add the versions we prefer to play to the Favorites menu. That's the perfect workaround to sticking to one romset if you don't care much about having a complete set.
