yeah but that was against a good submission guy, former champ frank Mir. and he was beating him up pretty good before he got caught.

I haven't watched yet, will grab it off torrents tomorrow unless I see it streaming online tonight

Heath Herring vs Brock Lesner

Ken Florian vs Roger Huerta

GSP vs Jon Fitch

Those were my picks before I saw the event.

Let me know when you have seen it.

I couldn't bear it so I checked the results. nice predictions ryan.

I was sure Herring was gonna smack Brock around...... to bad. I really like Herring I don't know why.

well in advance I am calling Chris Leban over Mike Bisping by T/KO. Bisping is over due for a reality check and Leban is just the guy to give it to him. an Iron jaw and dangerous under pressure.

overall UFC 89 looks like a great card, better then the last few IMO.

Liddell got KTFOed... lol. sorry iceman fans but he's not what he used to be. 3 losses in the last 4 fights, Dana would have other fighters packing their bags and heading to a lesser promotion.

Couture vs Lesner. Thoughts?

Sad News via TMZ

TMZ has learned former UFC middleweight champion Evan Tanner is missing in the California desert. And we're told a body has been found in the area where rescue workers were searching.

Law enforcement tells us the 37-year-old went out into the desert near San Diego last Friday. That same day, Tanner sent a text message to a friend that he was out of water and needed help. There was a massive search that ended abruptly yesterday.

As for the body that was discovered, cops have not yet identified the remains.

Tanner blogged last month he was going to the desert because of his friends talking about "treasure hunting and lost gold, and my own insatiable appetite for adventure and exploration." Tanner continued, "I plan on going so deep into the desert, that any failure of my equipment could cost me my life."

Tanner was featured on Spike TV's, "The Ultimate Fighter." He lost his last bout in June at the Ultimate Fighter 7 finale.

UPDATE: The body has been identified -- Evan Tanner is dead at 37. According to UFC.com, the cause of death is still undetermined.

sad news indeed, Tanner was an exciting fighter and I always enjoyed his fights,
